I wanted to try block background stamping on this card. The background is made with Distress Inks on an acrylic block. Jennifer McGuire shows it in this video. To get straight edges I have to use less water in future. I stamped the trees and words with Memento #Rich Cocoa and the stars with Distress Ink #Crushed Olive.
Blokstempelen geprobeerd op deze kaart. De achtergrond is gemaakt met Distress Inkt en een acrylblok, zoals Jennifer McGuire toont in deze video. Om rechte kantjes te krijgen moet ik voortaan wat minder water gebruiken. Bomen en tekst zijn gestempeld met Memento #Rich Cocoa, de sterren met Distress Inkt #Crushed Olive.

Mooi effect! Ik gebruik ook al regelmatig mijn Acrylblokken om te stempelen. Het geeft echt een leuk (bijna altijd een onvoorspelbaar) effect. Maar deze kaart vind ik echt leuk!
ReplyDeleteik heb net bij DIOL de video bekijken, wat leuk om te doen, ik vind jou ronde kantjes wel erg leuk hoo, maar ik snap wat je bedoelde. erg mooie kaart Godelieve, ik geloof het wordt tijd dat ik ook maar eens aan kerst begin :)0

Ik zou er zelf niet opkomen, om met een acrylblok te stempelen, maar daar hebben we dus Jennifer voor :) Van die video's gaan je handen toch echt jeuken!

This is a gorgeous Christmas card. Watched the video too....fun stuff. You edges look great....looks more like you did it with your watercolor brush than the block.

I love this card - so gorgeous! And your edges look perfectly beautiful - they add to the artistry and charm of the card. Straight edges wouldn't be nearly so fabulous. ;)
