Christmas Tag

 I tried to make a Christmas version of yesterday's tag.

Een poging gedaan om een kerstversie te maken van het label van gisteren.

 Both tags side by side.

Beide labels naast elkaar gezet.

 I heat embossed the bird house with gold embossing powder.  Colored with Distress Oxide ink Pine Needles.  I stamped the bird house once more to cut out the roof and 'welcome' plate.  These got a layer of glossy accents.

Het nestkastje kreeg gouden embossing en werd met Distress Oxide inkt Pine Needles gekleurd.  Nogmaals afgedrukt om het dakje en 'welcome' plaatje uit te knippen.  Die kregen een laagje glossy accents.

 A Sizzix die was used to cut the gold cardstock.

Met een Sizzix stans het goudkleurig karton gestanst.

Tag - Bird House

 On this kraft tag I used a bird house from Darkroom Door's new Bird Houses stamp set.

Een label met een nestkastje uit de nieuwe Bird Houses stempelset van Darkroom Door.

I used Archival Ink Potting Soil to stamp the bird house onto white cardstock.  Next I stamped the Woodgrain Texture stamp over the stamped bird house and colored it with Distress Oxide ink Peacock Feathers.  

I stamped the bird house once more, cut out the roof and 'welcome' plate, colored these pieces with Distress Oxide ink Vintage Photo.  

A bird from the Bird Life set was stamped onto scrap paper and colored with the same Distress Oxide inks.  I also used these inks to stamp the leaves and to color the ribbon.

Het nestkastje gestempeld met Archival inkt Potting Soil op wit kaartkarton.  Ik stempelde er de Woodgrain Texture stempel overheen, knipte het huisje uit en kleurde het met Distress Oxide inkt Peacock Feathers.  Het huisje nogmaals gestempeld om het dakje en het 'welcome' plaatje uit te knippen.  Die kleurde ik met Distress Oxide Vintage Photo.  

Een vogel uit de Bird Life stempelset afgedrukt op een restje papier en met dezelfde inkten gekleurd.  Met deze inkten stempelde ik ook de blaadjes en kleurde ik het lint.

Words are from the Home Sweet Home stamp set.

The roof and plate got a layer of glossy accents.  I used glossy accents to glue the sequin flowers in place.  For the center I used Enamel Accents.

Een tekststempel gebruikt uit een oudere stempelset van Darkroom Door, Home Sweet Home.

Op het dakje en "welcome' plaatje bracht ik een laagje glossy accents aan.  De sequin bloemetjes kleefde ik op hun plek met glossy accents.  In het hart van elke bloemetje liet ik een druppel Enamel Accents vallen.

Thank You Card

 A butterfly stencil from Darkroom Door was used with Distress Oxide inks to do the background.  I used the same inks to stamp the sentiment stamps.  Next  I've splattered the paper with water.

The flowers were stamped with black Archival ink.

Een vlinderstencil van Darkroom Door gebruikt met Distress Oxide inkten om de achtergrond voor deze kaart te maken.  Met dezelfde inkten de tekststempel afgedrukt.  Waterdruppels er overheen gespetterd.  Daarna de bloemen met zwarte Archival inkt gestempeld.

Wobble Card

A wobble card for a little hero.

Een wiebelkaart voor een kleine held.

The card base is a 6" kraft circle, folded in half.
The Carved Houses were stamped with Archival inks and I added wonky doodling.  To balance the card I added a tree (a Carved Leaves stamp) and a hand drawn shrub.
An acetate strip is keeping the helicopter up in the sky.

Als basis sneed ik een cirkel van 15cm uit stevig kraft kaartkarton, dubbelgevouwen.  Met kleurige Archival inkten de Carved Houses afgedrukt en nonchalant bijgewerkt met een zwart stiftje.  Om de kaart in evenwicht te houden kwam er links een boom (Carved Leaves stempel) en plakte ik een getekende struik.
De helikopter wordt in de lucht gehouden met een strookje acetaat.

The card can go into a square envelope.
De kaart past in een vierkante omslag.

Circle diecuts were used to create a road sign with a greeting.
Rondjes gestanst om het verkeersbord met de groet te maken.

Sunday Scraps - 479

 As usual on Sundays, I made something using scraps and left over pieces.  

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag maakte ik iets met restjes.

 In my box of scraps I found this long strip with a punched hole in it and some stenciled dots.  I folded the strip in half, stamped the twigs and added more stenciling.

I stamped the birds onto the other paper scrap, cut them out and colored them with Distress Oxide inks.

I used Distress Markers to add blossoms to the twigs.

In mijn restjesdoos vond ik een strook papier waar al een rondje uit geponst was.  Dubbelgevouwen en takjes gestempeld.  Enkele vogels gestempeld op het andere restpapier, uitgeknipt en met Distress Oxide inkten ingekleurd.  

Met Distress Markers bloemetjes aan de takjes getekend in dezelfde kleuren.

Before & After #32

A while ago I stamped this Mixed Flowers Card, and today I wanted to add some words.

Een tijdje geleden stempelde ik deze Mixed Flowers kaart, vandaag kwam er tekst bij.

Hand Stamped

 I used the Hand Stamped stamp from Darkroom Door with Archival ink Potting Soil, cut it out to attach it to my card.  The dotted line was stamped around the edges.

'Just for you' is a stamp from an early Darkroom Door stamp set:  Garden Greetings.

De Hand Stamped stempel afgedrukt met Archival inkt Potting Soil, en uitgeknipt wat ik op de kaart wou gebruiken.  Ook de stippellijn van de stempel rondom afgedrukt.

'Just for You' is een tekststempel uit een oudere stempelset van Darkroom Door:  Garden Greetings.

Birthday Cupcakes

 A lot of masking on this cupcake card.  The Cupcake stamp is a new one by Darkroom Door.

Veel gemaskerd om dit kaartje te maken.  De Cupcake stempel is een nieuwe van Darkroom Door.

 First I stamped one cupcake using Archival ink Potting Soil, covered it with a post-it mask to stamp the second cupcake behind the first one.  

I covered both cupcakes with a mask to stamp the background with Distress Oxide inks.  

Used my heat tool to dry the Distress Ink before I applied ink over the stamped backgrounds, using Picket Fence Studio brushes.
De eerste cupcake gestempeld met Archival inkt Potting Soil, en met een maskertje bedekt om de volgende cupcake er 'achter' te stempelen.
Beide cupcakes bedekt met een maskertje om de achtergronden met Distress Oxide af te drukken.  
De heat tool gebruikt om de Distres Oxide afdrukken goed te drogen.  Daarna met dezelfde inkten over de achtergrond aangebracht met blender borstels van Picket Fence Studio.

Fired Brick and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide inks were used to color the cupcakes.

De cupcakes gekleurd met Fired Brick en Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide inkten.

To do the sprinkles I used Enamel Accents.

De cupcakes versierd met bolletjes Enamel Accents.

The card was finished off with a vertical sentiment from the Tall Flowers stamp set.

Een verticale tekststempel uit de Tall Flowers set maakt de kaart af.

 Today I'm sharing some photos I made in our garden.

Sunflower attracting lots of insects.

Birds on Branches

 Another card I made with the new Bird Life stamp set from Darkroom Door.  

Nog een kaart gemaakt met de nieuwe Bird Life stempelset van Darkroom Door.

 First I stamped with the Grunge Marks stamp set and Abstract01 stamp using Distress Oxide inks Dried Marigold and  Fossilized Amber.  Next I colored the background using Distress Oxide ink Broken China.  Waterdrops added extra texture to the background.

After the inks had dried, I wanted to stamp a 'shrub', using just 1 twig stamp from the set.  I used an acetate sheet in my MISTI to position my paper in the right spot each time, and masked with post-its. 

I found a piece of scrap paper with the Mesh background stamped on it already, perfect to stamp the birds.  I cut the birds out and colored them with the same Distress Oxide inks before I glued them in place.

 Eerst een achtergrond gestempeld met stempels uit de Grunge Marks set en de Abstract01 stempel.  Daar koos ik Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber en Dried Marigold voor.  Daarna heel de achtergrond gekleurd met Distress Oxide Broken China.  Waterdruppels zorgen voor nog meer textuur.

Een 'struik' gestempeld.   Dat deed ik met slechts 1 stempel uit de set.  Een vel acetaat in mijn MISTI hielp om het papier telkens naar de juiste plek te verschuiven om het volgende takje te stempelen.  Soms moest ik een post-it gebruiken om de kortere takjes af te drukken.

De vogels stempelde ik op een restje papier waar de Mesh achtergrondstempel al op afgedrukt was.  Ik knipte ze uit en kleurde ze met dezelfde Distress Oxide inkten.  Ze kregen een plekje in de struik.

Kraft Cards

 I love making kraft cards.  This card and gift label were quick and easy to make.  I used a background from my stash where I 'stamped with stencils' to use the leftover ink after stenciling.  I have always a sheet of smooth watercolor paper ready while using stencils to do this.

Kraft kaarten blijf ik tof vinden om te maken.  Deze kaart en kadolabel waren snel gemaakt.  Ik gebruikte een achtergrond uit mijn voorraad.  Die had ik 'gestempeld met stencils' om de overgebleven inkt op de stencil na het sponzen te gebruiken.  Telkens ik stencils gebruik ligt er een vel glad aquarelpapier klaar hiervoor.

 I used Archival inks to stamp the flowers from Darkroom Door's Beautiful Blooms set.  To stamp the Dutch words (=congratulations) I used black Archival ink.  I also must remember to use my Enamel Accents more often...

Met Archival inkten drukte ik de bloemen uit de Beautiful Blooms van Darkroom Door af.  De teksten werden met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt.  Ik zou er wat vaker aan moeten denken om die Enamel Accents te gebruiken...

Sunday Scraps - 478

 As usual on Sundays, I made something using scraps and left over pieces.

I punched inchies from the scraps, inked the edges.  I arranged the inchies and attached buttons.  The tiny hearts and bird are Karen Burniston diecuts.  Dutch saying (happy Birthday) was stamped with black Archival ink.

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, zocht ik restjes bij elkaar om iets mee te maken.  Vierkantjes geponst, de randen beïnkt.  De inchies gerangschikt, knoopjes vastgezet.  De mini hartjes en het vogeltje zijn uitgesneden met stansen van Karen Burniston.  De tekst stempelde ik er bij met zwarte Archival inkt.

Black & White - 421

 Love the flower stamps in Darkroom Door's new Beautiful Blooms set.  One of them landed on this week's black & white card.

Mooie bloemen in de nieuwe Beautiful Blooms stempelset van Darkroom Door  Eéntje is vandaag op mijn zwart-wit kaart terecht gekomen.

 The Flourish background stamp was stamped with black Archival ink, and clear embossed.

Op de achtergrond drukte ik de Flourish achtergrondstempel af met zwarte Archival ink, en die kreeg een laagje kleurloos embossing.
