Chipboard Flowers

Some Maya Road chipboard flowers I colored.

The flowers come in a nice tin. I primed them with gesso first, then rubbed them with several Colorbox Fluid Chalk inkpads.
De bloemen zitten in een mooi metalen doosje. Ik heb ze eerst gesponst met gesso, daarna verschillende kleuren Colorbox Fluid Chalk gebruikt.

Script stamp by Verschoten (Antwerp-Belgium) Versamark and clear embossingpowder to finish them off.
Schrift stempel van Verschoten (Antwerpen) Versamark inkt en kleurloos embossingpoeder voor de afwerking.

Bad Kitty ... again

Priscilla is looking for trouble again... All stamps by justjohanna. Versafine Onyx Black inkpad. I sponged with Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink, after masking the images.

Priscilla zoekt weer moeilijkheden... Alle stempels zijn van justjohanna. Zwarte stempelinkt van Versafine. Achtergrond is gesponst met Colorbox Fluid Chalk.

justjohanna - Faux Postage

This "I love tea" script stamp covers the card in one go. I stamped some faux postage with a tea theme. All stamps used are justjohanna rubberstamps.

Deze "I love tea" tekststempel is groot genoeg om in 1 keer de achtergrond te stempelen. Een paar nep postzegels gestempeld om de kaart af te werken. Alle stempels zijn van justjohanna.

I found the scissors in a local shop.
De postzegelrandschaar vond ik een een plaatselijke winkel.

I love the fun closure of this frame card. It looks complicated, but it's very easy to make.

Ik hou wel van kaarten die op een speciale manier sluiten. Deze lijkt ingewikkeld om te maken, maar het is eigenlijk vrij eenvoudig.

Start with a gate-folded card. The black part is ATC size.

Plooi de 2 zijkanten naar het midden. Het zwarte gedeelte is ATC formaat.

Cut all 4 sides of the black cardstock with a craft knife, to create the frame.
Snijd het zwarte kaartje aan de 4 zijden in om een lijstje te maken.

Apply glue on the right hand side of the frame, glue in place. Apply glue on the left hand part of the panel, glue it inside the frame. All stamps by justjohanna.
Breng de lijm aan op de rechterhelft van het lijstje, plak op de kaart. Breng lijm aan op de linkerhelft van het middengedeelte, plak het in het lijstje. Alle stempels zijn van justjohanna.

Makes me smile!

On this card I used 2 stamps from De Creatie's "Get Inspired!5" kit. The flower was heat embossed on vellum, attached with a button from this kit too. I used the words as a frame, and QuicKutz photo corners as a finishing touch.

The theme for the next kit has been announced on their blog: Theme is "Brasserie Brocanta". You can subscribe until August 4th.

Voor deze kaart gebruikte ik 2 stempels van De Creatie's "Get Inspired!5" kit. De bloem is op vellum ge-embost en vastgemaakt met een knoop uit dezelfde kit. De tekststempels zijn hier als een lijstje gebruikt, QuicKutz fotohoekjes voor de afwerking.

Het thema voor de volgende kit is bekendgemaakt op hun blog: het wordt "Brasserie Brocanta". Je kan inschrijven tot 4 augustus.

Sketch Card - Happy Birthday

Heat emboss resist

A stamping technique I really like to do is heat emboss resist. I stamped the water drop shaped stamp with Versamark ink, heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used Colorbox Fluid Chalk #Dark Peony to sponge the background. Removed the embossing with a hot iron and paper. Then over stamped with Versafine #Onyx Black. Stamps: Impression Obsession (circles and "waterdrops") which I won in Jan's WSW Acetate Challenge on 2Peas, Hero Arts (Dill and script) and De Creatie (swirl)
Een stempeltechniek die ik graag gebruik is heat emboss resist. De druppelvormige stempel is met versamark gestempeld en met kleurloos embossingpoeder ge-embossed. Daarna Colorbox Fluid Chalk #Dark Peony gesponst. De embossing weer verwijderd met een warm strijkijzer en papier. Daarna met Versafine #Onyx Black gestempeld. Stempels: Impression Obsession (cirkels en "druppels") mijn prijs in Jan's WSW "stempelen op Acetaat" uitdaging op 2Peas, Hero Arts (Dille en schrift) en de Creatie (krul)

Thank you card

Brown/beige "Thank You" card. The Cuttlebug background was in a huge RAK I got from Stacy. Stamps: Aud Design (Flower, Words), Stampotique (border) and Tin Can Mail (oval label). Inkpad: Colorbox Fluid Chalk #Chestnut Roan.

Alphabet tag swap

No time for stamping/cardmaking :( But I found this on my harddisk. A sneak peek of a worldwide alphabet tag swap I participated in a while back. Each of us had to make 26 tags. I had the letter X to work with. We will receive them in a few weeks. I'm really looking forward to seeing the complete alphabet.

Geen tijd gehad om te stempelen of te "kaarten" :( Maar dit vond ik nog op mijn harde schijf. Een glimp van de wereldwijde alfabet tag ruil, waaraan ik een tijdje geleden deelnam. Elk van ons moest 26 tags maken. Ik had de letter X om iets mee te doen. Over enkele weken zal het pakje in de bus vallen. Ik zit vol ongeduld te wachten op het volledige alfabet!!

Deze week werd de sketch op 2Peas bedacht door Daria. Ze wil dat we restjes bedrukt papier gebruiken om dit patroon te maken. Dus een mooie kans om mijn strookjes ecoline papier te gebruiken... Crop-a-dile

It's green, it's handy, and it is SILENT!!! I don't regret buying this tool.

't Is groen, 't is handig, en MAAKT GEEN LAWAAI!!! Een aankoop waar ik geen spijt van krijg.

I think I will use this cone shape on the base cube a lot, it makes the eyelets curl up at the backside, no rough damaging edges.

Ik denk dat ik vooral het kegelvormig deeltje veel ga gebruiken, de eyelet is dan aan de achterkant mooi glad.

Alle stempels voor deze raamversiering zijn van justjohanna. Wit embossingpoeder op vellum. Dit lijstje kan je ophangen, maar het blijft ook rechtop staan.

A 4" x 4" card, made for a "Bird" Challenge on a Yahoo Group.

10 x 10 cm kaartje voor een "vogel" uitdaging op een Yahoo Groep.

Tagbook - Zutter bind-it-all

This is the first piece I made to try the Zutter Bind-it-All. It's a small tagbook, not completely finished yet. But I was curious about how this machine would be to work with. Well, it is super easy!

Stamps: Limited Edition (LE7650 Distressed Background), Magenta (Flower), De Creatie (swirl).

Mijn eerste boekje om de Zutter Bind-it-All te proberen. Het is een klein tagboek, nog niet helemaal afgewerkt, maar ik was zo benieuwd hoe het apparaat zou meevallen. Wel, het is super makkelijk!

I used 5 tags, and cut the chipboard back and front from chipboard packaging I had.

Ik gebruikte 5 etiketten, de voor- en achterzijde heb ik uit verpakkingsmateriaal gesneden.

Cutting the holes was very easy, super light!

De gaten zijn echt heel makkelijk te maken!

I cut the tags in one go.

De etiketten deed ik allemaal tegelijk.

Gesso, Acrylic paint and Colorbox Fluid Chalk used on the chipboard.

Het karton is bewerkt met Gesso, acrylverf en Colorbox Fluid chalk.

Stamping and distressing, on covers and pages.

Stempelen en distressen op binnen- en buitenkant van het boekje.

Cut the binder to size.

Ringen op lengte afgeknipt.

Put the back on top of the front cover before attaching the rings, this way the closure will be inside the book. (picture below)
Leg de achterkant bovenop de voorkant vooraleer je de ringen door de gaatjes haalt, zo valt de sluiting netjes binnenin het boekje. (foto hieronder)

Adjust the machine to the size of the binders and press. Again it was very easy!
Stel de maat van de ringen in op de machine en haal de hendel naar beneden. Heel makkelijk om de ringen te sluiten!

Closure is inside the book.
De sluiting zit netjes vanbinnen.
