A Year Of Blogposts - Januari 2012

My plan for 2012 is to do "A Year in Blogposts" here on my stamping blog.
I bought the layered templates at Jessica Sprague's webshop, changed the busy background to white and used Vinnie Pierce digital brushes (edges and spots) for a distressed look. The month circle is by Hero Arts.
Ik ben van plan om "Een jaar van blogberichten" te doen hier op mijn stempelblog.
Het laagjessjabloon kocht ik in de webshop van Jessica Sprague. De achtergrond vond ik wat te druk bij al die kaartjes, dus veranderde ik hem in gewoon wit. Met digitale brushes van Vinnie Pierce (randen en vlekken) gaf ik er een verweerde look aan. De ronde "stempel" is een digitale brush van Hero Arts.

Stamp Carving 101 - Bracket Frame

In lesson 5 of Julie Fei-Fan Balzer's stamp carving 101 class we learned how to carve a bracket frame.

 The garden was covered with a thin layer of snow this morning.

Er lag vanmorgen een dun laagje sneeuw.

Stamp Carving 101 - Chevron Set

Julie's Stamp Carving 101 class is great!  

I carved two sets and had to play with them.  Endless possibilities with these stamps.

Ik maakte twee Chevron sets.  Heel veel mogelijkheden met deze stempeltjes.

Taking pictures is fun too :)

Golden Oldies - 3

 Some good old favorites again on today's card.  I have always loved Maryse Carrier's stamps.

Weer eens een paar leuke oude stempels uit het rek gehaald.  De stempels zijn van Maryse Carrier.

I stamped with Archival Ink #Coffee, colored the whole piece with Distress Stains and used pencils to color the images.

Gestempeld met Archival inkt #Coffee, alles met Distress Stains gekleurd, en met potloden verder ingekleurd.

Maryse Carrrier stamps are still available at Stampotique.

Dictionary Cover

No stamped dictionary page today, but the cover I made for my dictionary.

Geen gestempelde pagina in mijn woordenboekje vandaag, maar wel het kaftje dat ik ervoor gemaakt heb.

I used fabric, corrugated cardboard, twine, ribbon, metal embellishments, stitching, ...

Ik gebruikte een lapje stof, ribkarton, touw, lint, metalen accenten, stiksels,...

It's a pocket dictionary, with a handwritten message inside.

Het is een zakwoordenboekje, er staat vooraan een handgeschreven boodschap in.

To photograph the pages I use a  piece of glass from an old photo frame, on top of the dictionary.

Om de pagina's te kunnen fotograferen leg ik er het glas uit een oude fotolijst op.
