Happy Birthday

This birthday card is 4" x 4".

Een verjaardagskaartje van ongeveer 10 x 10 cm.

First I sponged the background using Make Art inks with the stencil from the Flower Pot set.

Eerst de achtergrond gemaakt met Make Art inkten en de stencil uit de Flower Pot set.

Next I chose a stamp from the Flower Pot set, stamped it serveral times using black Archival ink.

Een stempel uit de Flower Pot set meermaals afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt.

The flowers were colored with Distress Markers.

De bloemen ingekleurd met Distress Markers.

'Happy' is a stamp from the Doodle Celebration set.  Combined it with the Birthday definitions stamp, a 20 years old stamp from Hero Arts.

'Happy' is een stempel uit de Doodle Celebration set.  Die combineerde ik met een 20 jaar oude Birthday definitiestempel van Hero Arts.

I layered the die cut circle with a vellum scalloped circle.

De uitgestanste cirkel kleefde ik op een vellum rondje met schulprand.

This week's card for my black & white series.

Kaartje gemaakt voor mijn zwart-wit reeks.

When I was looking for something else I found this transparency in my stash.  I had printed it ages ago.

Ik zocht naar iets anders in mijn bewarium, maar vond dit transparant A4 vel dat ik een eeuwigheid geleden geprint heb.

I added a stamped cupcake with a punched flower on top.

Een cupcake gestempeld voor erbij, en een geponst bloemetje bovenop.

Artful August - Index Tag

Before putting all Artful August tags together in a tag book, I printed this index tag.

Vooraleer ik mijn Artful August labels in een boekje samenbracht heb ik nog een inhoudstabel geprint. 

I used Crafter's Compagnion stamping card, Canson cold pressed watercolour paper and MFT Die-namics dies to cut all tags for the challenge.  The re-inforcement punch is from WeRMemoryKeepers.  The handy 1 hole punch is from Maped.

Om de labels te snijden uit Crafter's Companion kaartkarton en Canson aquarelpapier gebruikte ik de Die-namics stansen van MFT.  De kleine handige perforator van Maped ligt altijd binnen bereik.  De verstevingsringetjes maakte ik met de pons van WeRMemoryKeepers.

Two little tags in black & white, stamped with Wendy Vecchi stamps by Ranger.

I stamped with black Archival ink.  A punch was used to cut the tag tops.

August 2 - Shimmer

Another simple tag I made for the Artful August Challenge, hosted by Rachel Greig.

Weer een super eenvoudig label gemaakt voor de Artful August Challenge van Rachel Greig.

I used Perfect Pearls in a Mini Mister to add shimmer.  The good old stuff :)  Of course, the shimmer doesn't really show on a photo.  I'll try to upload a little video to Instagram.

Perfect Pearls in een Mini Mister.  Heerlijk om die 'oude' spullen nog eens te gebruiken.  De zachte glinstering is op een foto amper zichtbaar.  Ik probeer een videootje op Instagram te plaatsen.

August 1 - Garden

Maybe, if I keep it simple, I can do Rachel Greig's Artful August Challenge. 

Als ik het eenvoudig houd lukt het me misschien om mee te doen met de Artful August Challenge van Rachel Greig. 

I used a die to cut the tag out of watercolor paper.

Een label gestanst uit aquarelpapier.

 Stamps from the Gardening Vol 2 stamp set from Darkroom Door were inked with Ecoline Brush pens.  A brush was used to get a watercolor look.

Een label gestanst uit aquarelpapier.  De stempels uit de Gardening Vol 2 stempelset van Darkroom Door met Ecoline brushpennen beïnkt.  De inkt snel verspreid met een penseel, voor een aquarel-look.

Darkroom Door Collage Sheets - Elegant Ladies

I used Darkroom Door's new Collage Sheets 'Elegant Ladies' on these pages in my Elisabeth Craft Designs planner.

De nieuwe Collage Sheets 'Elegant Ladies' van DarkroomDoor gebruikt op deze pagina's in mijn Elisabeth Craft Designs planner. 

First I sponged a background using Distress inks (listed at the end of this blogpost).  Next I stamped the Roses Photo Stamp with Distress Oxide Ink Victorian Velvet to soften the waterdrop spots. 

Eerst een achtergrond gesponst met Distress inkten (onderaan dit bericht staan ze vermeld).  Daarna de rozenstempel afgedrukt met Distress Oxide inkt Victorian Velvet, om de lichte vlekken van de waterdruppels een beetje te verzachten.

 I mixed letters from two Darkroom Door Alphabet stamp sets to stamp the quote from Marilyn Monroe that I had found online.  A white gelpen was used on the letters from the Small Sketched Alphabet.

Twee alfabetsets gebruikt om de tekst te stempelen.  De quote van Marilyn Monroe vond ik online, en past wel bij deze dames.  De letters van de Small Sketched Alphabet set ingekleurd met een witte gelpen.

DarkroomDoor Stencil - Five Wonky Strips #1

On this card I combined the Botanical Notes collage sheet with the Five Wonky Strips stencil, both from DarkroomDoor's new release.

Op deze kaart maakte ik een combinatie van de Botanical Notes collage sheet met de Five Wonky Strips stencil, allebei pas nieuw bij DarkroomDoor.

Distress inks were used to sponge through the stencil and to ink the edges of my card.

Distress inkten gebruikt om door de stencil te sponzen en de randen van de kaart te beïnkten.

After stamping the Pinstripe background I chose some circle images from the Botanical Notes collage sheet.  I used a good old punch and dies to cut them out.

De Pinstripe achtergrondstempel afgedrukt met Distress inkten, en enkele ronde plaatjes uitgezocht uit de Botanical Notes.  Een punch en stansen gebruikt om ze uit te snijden.

I arranged the flowers on the card, and used Archival Ink Potting Soil to stamp the Postmarks and saying.

De bloemen op de kaart geschikt, en met Archival inkt Potting Soil de Poststempels en tekst erbij afgedrukt.

Sunday Scraps - 609

Using up my scraps.  Two tags I made today.

Weer eens iets met restjes gemaakt, twee labels.

I stamped the birds on purple cardstock, shading was done with pencils.

De vogels op paars kaartkarton afgedrukt, en bijgekleurd met potloden.

Flowers from Darkroom Door's Tall Flowers set, stamped with Petunia and Jet Black Archival ink.  I also inked the edges with Petunia, and used it to sponge through the dots stencil.

Bloemen uit de Tall Flowers set van Darkroom Door afgedrukt met Archival inkt Petunia en Jet Black.   Met Petunia ook de randen gekleurd en de bolletjes gesponst met een stencil.

Girl's Birthday Card

A sweet little girl turns 3 today.

Een kleine lieve meid wordt 3 vandaag.

I used a punch to do the scalloped top edge.  And I gave the bird a crown.

Een oude randpons gebruikt om bovenaan een schulprand te maken.  Het vogeltje gaf ik een kroon.

Three little birds inside.

Binnenin drie kleine vogeltjes gestempeld.
