Made this birthday card and a bookmark using scrapbook paper from my stash and Darkroom Door stamps.

Scrapbookpapier als achtergrond gebruikt bij deze verjaardagskaart en bladwijzer.  Stempels zijn van Darkroom Door.

I stamped with Archival Ink Watering Can.  The images were colored with pencils, and cut out.

Gestempeld met Archival Inkt Watering Can.  Ingekleurd met potloden, en uitgeknipt.

Backgrounds from my stash, used to clean a Darkroom Door stencil, turned into Christmas cards.

Een achtergrond uit mijn voorraad, er was inkt van een Darkroom Door stencil op afgedrukt, veranderd in 2 kerstkaarten.

Distress Oxide inks were used to add more color to the background.

Met Distress inkten de achtergrond nog wat bijgekleurd.

I used a tree from the Stitched Christmas set, the star from the Curly Cupcakes, and the Christmas Sentiment Stamps with black Archival ink.

Een kerstboom uit de Stitched Christmas  set, de ster uit de Curly Cupcakes, en de teksten van de Christmas Sentiment Stamps, afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt.

The trees were decorated with Liquid Pearls.

De bomen versierd met Liquid Pearls.

This week's card for my black & white series.

Kaartje gemaakt voor mijn zwart-wit reeks.

When I was looking for something else I found this transparency in my stash.  I had printed it ages ago.

Ik zocht naar iets anders in mijn bewarium, maar vond dit transparant A4 vel dat ik een eeuwigheid geleden geprint heb.

I added a stamped cupcake with a punched flower on top.

Een cupcake gestempeld voor erbij, en een geponst bloemetje bovenop.

DarkroomDoor - Botanical Notes #1

Darkroom Door released new collage sheets.  I love the Botanical Notes.  Here are 2 quick & easy cards I made.

Darkroom Door bracht nieuwe collage sheets uit.  De Botanical Notes vind ik supermooi.  Ik maakte er alvast deze kaarten mee, snel en makkelijk.

I chose a sheet with small images to use on these cards.

I sponged with Distress Inks through a stencil as a background for the saying.

Een stencil en Distress inkten gebruikt om een strookje te sponzen voor de tekst.

Birthday Card

Cupcake on a birthday card.

Een verjaardagskaart met een cupcake.

Last week I stamped a bunch of backgrounds, using some of my hand carved stamps with a home made ink pad (see this blogpost).  Today I used one of these backgrounds on a card.

Vorige week stempelde ik een aantal achtergronden met stempels die ik ooit kerfde, en zelfgemaakte inktkussens (zie dit blogbericht).  Eén van die achtergronden kwam al op deze kaart terecht.

The cupcake and saying were stamped with black Archival ink and cut out.  To ink the edges and to color the cupcake I used Wendy Vecchi's Archival Inks Goldenrod and Night Sky.

De cupcake en tekst werden met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt, en uitgeknipt.  Om de randen te sponzen en de cupcake te kleuren gebruikte ik Archival inkten van Wendy Vecchi, Goldenrod en Night Sky.

Periwinkle Liquid Pearls were used to to the little dots on the cupcake.

Kleine stippen op de cupcake gezet met Periwinkle Liquid Pearls.

Your Special Day

I wanted to do a Curly Cupcakes card in soft colors.  Here it is :)

Er zat al een paar dagen een kaartje in mijn hoofd, een Curly Cupcakes kaart in zachte kleuren.  En nu is ze klaar.

To do the background I used the Large Checkered Stencil with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide ink.

Voor de achtergrond nam ik de grote Checkered Stencil met Distress Oxide inkt Tattered Rose.

I stamped the cupcake with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Cotton Candy Speckle embossing powder.

De cupcake afgedrukt met Versamark inkt om met Cotton Candy Speckle poeder te embossen.

The Frangipani photo stamp was stamped with Tattered Rose.  On this piece I stamped the cupcake cup with Fired Brick.  I also used it for the saying.

De Frangipani fotostempel afgedrukt met Tattered Rose.  Deze achtergrond gebruikte ik om de cupcakebakjes te stempelen met Fired Brick.  Ook de tekst deed ik op deze manier.

The heart cupcake toppers were stamped onto the checkered background.  I colored some cardstock with Tattered Rose and stamped the hearts once more on this piece with Fired Brick.  The hearts were cut out and glued in place.

De cupcake toppers afgedrukt met Fired Brick op de ruitjesachtergrond.  Een stukje kaartkarton gekleurd met Tattered Rose en er de hartjes nogmaals op gestempeld met Fired Brick.  Hartjes uitgeknipt en op de achtergrond geplakt.

After photographing the card and supplies I decided to add Glossy Accents to the hearts.

Nadat alles gefotografeerd was vond ik dat de hartjes nog een laagje Glossy Accents konden gebruiken.

Watercolor Wednesday #2

Darkroom Door stamp sets Curly Cupcakes and Party Balloons were used on this card.

When I was doing a page for my black & white series in my sketchbook, I thought this could be a card.

Terwijl ik een pagina in mijn schetsboek maakte voor mijn zwart-wit reeks, vond ik dat het een kaart kon worden.

I had used a stencil to draw the rectangles.

Een stencil gebruikt om de vakjes te tekenen.

I stamped the images using black Archival ink.  This ink is waterproof, perfect for watercoloring my card.

Gestempeld met zwarte Archival inkt.  Die is watervast, perfect dus om mijn kaart met aquarelverf in te kleuren.

This week's Black & White item is a 'short card' I made, using the Curly Cupcakes stamp set from Darkroom Door

Voor mijn zwart-wit reeks maakte ik deze week een 'short card' met de Curly Cupcakes stempelset van Darkroom Door

I also used the small Checkered stencil.

Ook de kleine Checkered stencil kwam er aan te pas.

This picture shows the card unfolded.

Op deze foto is de kaart weer opengeplooid.

This way the card can easily go in an envelope.

Zo past ze makkelijk in een envelop.

Happy Birthday - Happy Birthday

Two stamps from the Curly Cupcakes stamp set were used.  To do the background I used Distress Inks Cracked Pistachio and Mustard Seed.  Next I stamped with Wendy Vecchi's Archival Ink Night Sky.  I filled the centre of the card with a saying.  The little starburst stamp made a festive frame.  Love how the Liquid Pearls catch/reflect the light when you move the card.

Het moeten niet altijd cupcakes zijn.  Op deze kaart gebruikte ik twee andere stempels uit de Curly Cupcakes set.  Eerst een achtergrond gemaakt met Distress inkten Cracked Pistachio en Mustard Seed.  Daarna gestempeld met de Night Sky Archival inkt van Wendy Vecchi.  Het midden van de kaart opgevuld met de tekststempel.  Rondom gebruikte ik het vuurwerkstempeltje voor een feestelijk lijstje.  Als je de kaart beweegt weerkaatsen de Liquid Pearls mooi het licht.

Curly Cupcakes - Enjoy

Cupcakes!  I used Distress Markers to ink the stamps here.  I stamped on watercolor paper, and used a wet brush to spread the ink for a watercolor effect.  I love the new Checkered stencils from Darkroom Door.  On this card I used the small one with 2 Distress Inks to sponge a background.  

Een cupcakes kaartje.  De stempels werden beïnkt met Distress Markers.  Ik stempelde op aquarelpapier en gebruikte een nat penseel om de inkt te verspreiden, voor een aquareleffect.  De nieuwe Checkered stencils van Darkroom Door zijn super.  Hier gebruikte ik de kleine stencil om met 2 kleuren Distress inkt te sponsen.

Darkroom Door Stamps - Curly Cupcakes

Curly Cupcakes is a new stamp set by Darkroom Door, my drawings turned into rubber :)

Een nieuwe stempelset van Darkroom Door gebruikt op dit verjaardagslabel.  Mijn tekeningen uitgebracht in rubber stempels :)

First I sponged a background, using 2 Distress Inks and the small Checkered stencil from Darkroom Door.

Eerst een ruitjesachtergrond gesponst met 2 Distress inkten en de kleine Checkered stencil van Darkroom Door.

All stamping was done with Wendy Vecchi Archival ink Petunia.  

Om te stempelen gebruikte ik de Archival inkt Petunia van Wendy Vecchi.

I used Cotton Candy embossing powder on the cupcake top.  You can heat emboss Archival inks if you work quickly.  To heat emboss the stars on the background I used a Versamarker pen.  I've cut a mask, to sponge the upper edge of the cupcake cup.  

Cotton Candy embossingpoeder over de cake gestrooid.  Je kan Archival inkt embossen als je snel werkt.  Om de sterren op de achtergrond te embossen gebruikte ik een Versamarker stift.  Een maskertje geknipt om het koekje te bedekken, zo kon ik de bovenrand van het papieren cupcakebakje sponzen.
