Photo Card - Caravan

On this card I used a photo I made a few weeks ago in our neighbourhood as a background for the caravan.  I stamped with black Archival ink.  Bunting was made with a Karen Burniston die.

Een foto uit onze buurt als achtergrond genomen voor de caravan.  Gestempeld met zwarte Archival inkt.  Voor de vlaggetjes gebruikte ik een stansje van Karen Burniston.

Caravan Trip - Masking #2

 On today's card I used the masking technique again, to decorate the caravan and car, and to stamp 'behind' them.

Op deze kaart gebruikte ik weer de maskertechniek, om de caravan en auto te bestempelen, en om er 'achter' te stempelen.

 I used black Archival ink to stamp the caravan and classic car.  Masks were cut to stamp the Flower Garden Texture Stamp with red Archival Distress ink.  Next I covered them to stamp the trees with black ink.  To sponge the trees I used Distress Oxide inks.  At the bottom of the card I sponged with Distress Oxide Ink Mowed Lawn, and stamped the Stone Background to add texture before I removed the masks.

De caravan en oldtimer werden met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt.  Ik sneed maskertjes om de rode bloemenpatroon op de caravan en auto de kunnen stempelen.  Daarna de caravan en auto helemaal bedekt om de bomen met zwarte inkt af te drukken. Met Oxide inkten werd het bladerdek gesponst.  Onderaan ook met groene inkt gesponst, en met de Stone achtergrondstempel textuur aangebracht.  Daarna mochten de maskertjes verwijderd worden.

 Couldn't help doodling a little bit.

Er moesten wat bloemetjes bij gekrabbeld worden.

Pop-up Caravan

 Here's a card I made, using the Tree Pop-up die set by Karen Burniston to create a caravan pop-up card.   The die cut trees are placed in the background.

Een kaartje gemaakt met de Tree Pop-up stansset van Karen Burniston.  In plaats van de boom kleefde ik een caravan op het pop-up mechanisme.  De bomen uit de set staan in de achtergrond.

 I also used a few dies from other Karen Burniston sets.

Ook enkele stansen uit andere sets van Karen Burniston gebruikt.

 On card front I used a stencil to sponge words with Archival ink Potting Soil.

 Op de voorkant gebruikte ik een stencil om tekst te sponzen met Archival inkt Potting Soil.

The 'picnic blanket' is a small folded card, it adds space to write something down.

De 'picnicdeken' is een klein dubbelgevouwen kaartje.  Daar kan een boodschap in geschreven worden.

Darkroom Door Stencil - Wellbeing #3

This booklet was made for Darkroom Door, my third project using the new Wellbeing stencil.

Dit boekje maakte ik voor Darkroom Door, mijn derde project met de nieuwe Wellbeing stencil.

 I love making these booklets, using a A4 sheet of paper.  These booklets fit in an envelope and can be sent instead of a card.

Altijd leuk om zo'n boekje te maken uit een vel A4 papier.  Ik maakte er al een aantal.  Deze boekjes passen in een gewone omslag, je kan ze dus versturen in plaats van een kaart.

Wellbeing

When I'm making gel prints I have some scrap paper ready to clean my brayer.  These papers are a perfect start for booklets like this, as they already have color.  

I folded the paper and made a cut (as shown on the photo).  

Next I looked for stamp sets to go with the wellbeing theme.  I stamped with Archival Ink Garden Patina.

Tijdens het maken van gel prints leg ik altijd vellen papier klaar om de brayer proper te rollen.  Deze gekleurde vellen papier zijn perfect als basis voor deze boekjes.

Het papier gevouwen, en een insnijding gemaakt, zoals je kan zien op de foto hierboven.

Daarna zocht ik stempels bij elkaar die bij het 'welzijn' thema passen.  Gestempeld met Archival Inkt Garden Patina.

  

I masked parts of the stencil, to sponge just the words I needed on each page.  With the stencil still in place I used a pencil te to outline the letters.  On some spots, where the paper was quite dark, I used a white pencil around the letters, to make them stand out.

Delen van de stencil bedekte ik met post-it papiertjes om enkel het woord te kunnen sponzen dat ik op elke pagina nodig had.  Met een fijn vulpotlood omlijnde ik de letters terwijl de stencil nog op z'n plek lag.  Sommige delen van het papier waren te donker, daar gebruikte ik een wit kleurpotlood om rondom de letters te kleuren, zodat er meer contrast was.

Before I glued the pages together I sponged the dots using Garden Patina. The large Dots stencil is big enough to cover the entire A4 paper.

Vooraleer ik de pagina's aan elkaar plakte heb ik hier en daar nog stippen gesponst met Archival Inkt Garden Patina.  Daar gebruikte ik de nieuwe Dots stencil voor, die is groot genoeg om een heel vel A4 papier te bedekken.  Handig!

A butterfly and a caravan were stamped on another sheet of contrasting colored paper, cut out and glued in place. On the first photo you can see that I left one edge open, to tuck in a tag for writing space.

Een vlinder en caravan stempelde ik nog eens op papier in een contrasterende kleur, uitgeknipt en opgeplakt.  Op de eerste foto kan je zien dat ik één kant open liet.  Daar kan een label in gestopt om iets op te schrijven.

Ik stempelde met de Carved Caravans set die ik een tijd geleden voor Darkroom Door mocht ontwerpen.  De tekst komt uit de Seaside Vol 2 set.  Een favoriet tekstje dat ik al vaak gebruikte.  Met een zwart pennetje hier en daar wat bij getekend.

 Een vakantiekaartje.

 On a yellow/green background from my stash I tried to add layers, using stencils and paints.

Op een geel/groene achtergrond uit mijn voorraad probeerde ik laagjes aan te brengen met stencils en verfjes.

Darkroom Door ATC Swap - Summer Lovin'

Darkroom Door hosts a monthly ATC swap.  The theme for January is Summer Lovin'.

Darkroom Door organiseert elke maand een ATC ruil. Voor januari is het thema Summer Lovin'.  Terwijl het hier bij ons op het noordelijk halfrond putje winter zou moeten zijn, is het volop zomer in Australië, waar Darkroom Door gevestigd is.

I made a little scene with the Carved Caravans set.  They are stamped on shrink plastic.
Ik koos een tafereeltje met de Carved Caravans.  Mini caravans gemaakt uit krimpfolie.

On the background I stamped the Tree Line stamp, using Archival ink.  I watercolored the image using Neocolors.
Op de achtergrond stempelde ik de Tree Line stempel met Archival inkt.  Met Neocolors verder ingekleurd.

Easy to "stamp" a sun with these Distress Paints.

A tag, made with leftover pieces.  I replaced the record (see last photo)  by a caravan, because I couldn't get it right.

Weer een label gemaakt met restjes.  Na veel heen en weer schuiven heb ik de grammofoonplaat die je op de foto hieronder ziet is vervangen door een caravan die nog op tafel lag.

From One Card To Another #9 - Dream

 I picked a background from my stash to make this card.

It was made by cleaning a stencil.

De caravan 2 keer gestempeld in verschillende kleuren, uitgeknipt en op elkaar geplakt.  De Sunshine achtergrondstempel staat er goed bij vind ik.
