Started doing swatches.  First my Neocolor II, inspired by Emma Lefebvre.

Een begin gemaakt met kleurstaaltjes.  Mijn Neocolor II kwamen eerst aan de beurt, geïnspireerd door Emma Lefebvre.

 

Flower in a Bottle

 Love making flower cards.  

Liefst van al maak ik bloemenkaarten.

 The flower and bottle were stamped with black Archival ink.  I used the new Small Carved Flowers stencil to color the flower with Distress Oxide ink Worn Lipstick.  (There's a super large stencil too with these flowers)  To do the water and splatters I used Neocolors.  

 De bloem en vaas werden met zwarte Archival inkt gestempeld  Daarna gebruikte ik de kleine Carved Flowers stencil (Darkroom Door heeft ook een supergrote versie) met Distress Oxide inkt Worn Lipstick om te bloem in te kleuren.  Het water in het vaasje en de spetters deed ik met Neocolors.

 Another quick page in my gel print journal.  Found a quote online:  Every Flower must grow through dirt.

Gedoodled op een pagina in mijn gelprintjournal en er een citaat bij gestempeld dat ik online vond.

This journal is filled with prints from Birgit Koopsen's 31 days of gel printing challenge.  And this print with silly flowers was made for the crayon resist prompt. 

Mijn journal is gevuld met prints die ik maakte voor de 31 days of gel printing challenge van Birgit Koopsen.  Voor het crayon resist thema tekende ik deze "geweldige" bloemen :)

I used an old Hero Arts Alphabet set to stamp the words.

Met een gouwe ouwe alfabetset van Hero Arts de tekst gestempeld.

The Penny Black stamp was stamped with Distress Paints and watercolored with Neocolors.  These were also used to do the sky and splatters.

 On this card I turned the flower into a sunflower, by using Fall colors.

Flowers and a Butterfly

 On this card I combined spiky flower stamps from Paper Artsy and Art Journey.

 I stamped the flowers and butterfly with Archival ink and used Neocolors to watercolor them.

Congratulations

 The bird from yesterday's blogpost has landed on a card.

Een kaartje gemaakt met de vogel uit het bericht van gisteren.

 The bird was watercolored with Neocolors II and pencils.  I also did a light wash around the bird.

De vogel werd met Neocolors II en potloden ingekleurd.  Daarna bracht ik rondom de vogel een waterig laagje Neocolors aan.  

 The background was done with Distress Inks by "stamping" with  a stencil and a Texture stamp from Darkroom Door.

De achtergrond werd "gestempeld" met een stencil en Distress inkt.  Daar overheen de Chevron texture stempel van Darkroom Door.  

Gefeliciteerd (= Congratulations) and a cute stamp flower stamp were stamped with Archival ink.

De tekst en het bloemetje werden met Archival inkt afgedrukt.

Poppies

The Darkroom Door Pretty Poppies Collage stamp was stamped with Archival ink Olive.  I watercolored the image with NeocolorII crayons.

Darkroom Door - Black VW Beetle

 The Darkroom Door VW Beetle Photo Stamp was stamped with Distress Ink Iced Spruce.  I watercolored the image using Neocolor II crayons.  I added some pencil coloring here and there, and stamped the French Script Texture stamp using Archival Ink.

I stamped the image again on black cardstock using Colorbox pigment ink Frost White, and cut the car out to adhere it to the background.  I used the same white ink to stamp the words.

De VW Beetle fotostempel van Darkroom Door werd met Distress inkt Iced Spruce afgedrukt, en met Neocolors II en penseel ingekleurd.  Hier en daar ging ik er nog eens met kleurpotloden over.  De French Script texture stempel werd met Archival inkt Watering Can gestempeld.

De Beetle fotostempel nog een keer afgedrukt, deze keer met Frost White pigment inkt van Colorbox op zwart kaartkarton.  De auto werd uitgeknipt en op de achtergrond geplakt.  De tekststempel werd met dezelfde inkt afgedrukt.

Sunday Scraps - 350

 Two Spring cards.  A background from my stash, with leftover inks from a previous card.

Twee lentekaartjes vandaag.  De achtergrond maakte ik enkele dagen geleden met restjes inkt.

 I stamped with black Archival ink, heat embossed the image and colored it with Neocolors and Distress Markers.

De stempel met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt, kleurloos geëmbossed.  Met Neocolors en Distress Markers ingekleurd.

Today is the first day of Spring.  A few days ago we noticed the robins building their nest in our garden.  They have their nest ready.  I hope to see the little ones to photograph soon too.

De lente begint vandaag.  Een paar dagen geleden zagen we de roodborstjes met nestmateriaal af en aan vliegen.  Het nest is ondertussen helemaal klaar, afgewerkt met mos.  Nu nog hopen op kleintjes om te fotograferen.

Fine Flowers - Watercolored

 Today's Fine Flowers card is watercolored, and combined with the French Script Texture stamp.

 Vandaag een kaart met de Fine Flowers op aquarelpapier, ingekleurd met Neocolors en gecombineerd met de French Script Texture stempel.

 I stamped with Archival Ink Jet Black, watercolored with Neocolors, picking the color from the crayon with a wet brush.

Gestempeld met Archival Ink Jet Black.  Om de bloemen in te kleuren nam ik telkens met een nat penseel wat kleur rechtstreeks van de krijtjes af.
