This square card is about 4 1/2 "
Een vierkant kaartje van ongeveer 11 cm.

The paper was colored with Talens Ecoline ink, #227 Yellow Ochre and #416 Sepia. The pattern was stamped with bleach (see older post)
Papier gekleurd met Talens Ecoline inkt, #227 Gele Oker en #416 Sepia. Daarna het patroon met bleek gestempeld (zie vroegere post)

Overstamped with Brilliance Graphite Black, heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Er overheen gestempeld met Brilliance Graphite Black, kleurloos geëmbossed.

Colored with Twinkling H2Os.
Ingekleurd met Twinkling H2Os.

Sunday Scraps - 19

I used cut offs today, and stamped flowers. Flower are left overs or duplicate stamped images from previous cards.
Vandaag heb ik strookjes gebruikt die je overhoudt als je vierkante kaartjes snijdt. De gestempelde bloemen lagen nog op tafel, ik maak vaak meer afdrukjes dan ik op dat moment nodig heb.

I used this Magenta tulip recently HERE and HERE. I cut inside the squares, using small embroidery scissors, so it shows the texture and sheen of the olive green cardstock.
De Magenta tulp had ik onlangs nog gebruikt HIER en HIER. Met een fijn borduurschaartje heb ik de vierkantjes uit het vellum geknipt, zodat de structuur en glans van het olijfgroene kaartkarton te zien is.

World Wide Knit in Public Day - Wereldbreidag

In honor of "World Wide Knit in Public" Day I collected all knitting wool in my house to give to my mom. She's knitting all the time, and creates amazing things. A huge box filled with colorful wool, that will keep her busy for a while :)

Ter gelegenheid van Wereldbreidag heb ik alle breiwol in huis verzameld voor mijn moeder. Ze heeft altijd een breiwerk bij de hand, en maakt ongelooflijk mooie dingen. Zo'n grote doos met breiwol, daar kan ze weer een tijdje mee verder :)

This is how my card/photo turned out after following Lisa's Learning about Levels tutorial
Zo ziet mijn kaart/foto er uit na het volgen van Lisa's uitleg over niveau's.

The "before" photo. I only used custom white balance setting (white balance tutorial)
Voor het bewerken zag de foto er zo uit. De camera was ingesteld op custom white balance (white balance uitleg)


I used Photoshop, (tried it in GIMP too, worked well). I moved the white arrow at the right a bit to the left.
Deze screenshots tonen wat ik in Photoshop deed. Ik heb GIMP ook geprobeerd, lukte prima. Het rechter pijltje een beetje naar links verschoven.


I tried a few spots with the eyedropper, some spots made it look really white, but also the texture on the white oval disappeared.
Met de druppelteller een paar plekjes uitgekozen, als het te wit werd, verdween ook de structuur van het witte Papicolor papier.


So I went for this setting, not too white and still enough texture on the white cardstock.

Dus heb ik gekozen voor niet al te wit, met behoud van de structuur.

Lime green, midnight blue and white together. The inside of the card is white. This is the fold I used: CLICK. I stamped with Colorbox Fluid Chalk #Blue Iris.
De binnenkant van deze felgroene kaart is wit. Ik heb er donkerblauwe cardstock en inkt (Colorbox Fluid Chalk #Blue Iris) bij gebruikt. De kaart is op deze manier geplooid: KLIK

I used a Stamping'Up punch to decorate the left side of the card.
Met een Stampin'Up pons de linkerkant van de kaart versierd.

Father's Day card

Father's day card, using Odd Bird Planet's plumber birds. Love the trio on the bench :) I inked the corrugated cardboard with Colorbox Chalk ink. Images are colored with pencils.
Een kaartje voor vaderdag. Het trio op bankje blijf ik een grappige stempel vinden :) Colorbox Chalk stempelinkt gebruikt op het golfkarton, gewoon met het inktkussen erover gewreven. Afdrukken ingekleurd met potloden.

Sunday Scraps - 18 - Let's do lunch

I used some of my mintgreen and terracotta scraps, taped them at the back to get this striped pattern. Scalloped edge is an Odd Bird Planet stamp. Made me think of a sun screen. Next step was to go find my tabel and chair stamps :)
Met mintgroene en terracottakleurige restjes een streeppatroon aan elkaar geplakt. De geschulpte rand is een Odd Bird Planet stempel. Deed me aan een zonnescherm denken, dus een paar stoeltjes en een tafeltje erbij gestempeld :)

Black & White - photo cards

It's "Quick & Easy" time again *lol* I printed one of my photos in black and white, put them on white cardstock. Stamped the words and glued them onto red cardstock, it shows just a little bit of the red. Words are Odd Bird Planet stamps.

't Is weer "snel en makkelijk" vandaag *lol* Een van mijn foto's in zwart/wit geprint, op wit kaartkarton van Papicolor geplakt en van een tekststempel (Odd Bird Planet) voorzien. De tekstjes zijn op een laagje rood karton geplakt.

Art Journey - "Summer Girl" stamps

A couple of tags I made with the "Summer Girl" stamps sheet from Art Journey. Versafine #Vintage Sepia ink on the bue/brown tag. Brilliance #Graphite Black ink on the white/red/black tag. The rose was stamped on Ecoline/shadowpaint background. I used the same cuttllebug folder on both tags.

Een paar tags, gemaakt met de "Summer Girl" stempellap van Art Journey. De bruin/blauwe tag is met Versafine #Vintage Sepia gestempeld, de rood/wit/zwarte met Brilliance #Graphite Black. De roos is op ecoline/shadowpaint papier gestempeld. Dezelfde Cuttlebug embossingfolder gebruikt op beide tags.

Today I'm reposting this card I made earlier, here's the "old" post which has links to more samples and a template. I checked my stats at box.net Looks like it's a popular template, almost 2,000 downloads.  This card is 4"x4" but the template can be used on larger cards too, just lay the template against the card fold.  The inlay (shirt) covers the whole inside of the card.

Vandaag toon ik nog eens een oudere kaart, hier is de "oude" blogpost, met links naar nog een paar voorbeelden en een patroon. Blijkbaar een populair patroon, in mijn statistiek op box.net zag ik dat het al bijna 2000 keer gebruikt werd.  Dit kaartje is 10 x 10 cm, maar het patroon kan ook op een grotere kaart gebruikt worden, leg het gewoon tegen de vouw van de kaart.  Het inlegvel (hemd) is net zo groot als de kaart.

Dit kaartje heb ik gemaakt voor Lisa Spangler's "Scribble This" uitdaging: White Color Balance. Lisa geeft allerlei tips en truukjes over fotografie. Ik vind het geweldig, en hoop meer uit mijn camera te halen. Heel erg bedankt Lisa!

This is how my white card looks using custom white balance setting. The lighting here is a energy saving light (compact fluorescent light). It shows much more texture than my usual photos (see last one in this post). I had to adjust the brightness just a little bit in photoshop. But the colors are great. Below are a few other settings.
Zo ziet de kaart er uit met aangepaste witbalans. De foto is genomen onder een spaarlamp (compact fluorescentielamp). Je ziet veel meer detail (vergelijk met de laatste foto in deze post). Ik heb in photoshop alleen de helderheid een beetje verhoogd, de kleuren waren prima. Hieronder zie je een paar andere standaard instellingen:

Birthday tag - Tulips

I stamped the tulips with Distress Ink #Aged Mahogany on Talens Ecoline background. Tag is cut from Color Core cardstock. Border is embossed in the Cuttlebug and sanded.
De tulpen zijn met Distress Inkt #Aged Mahogany gestempeld op ecolinepapier. De tag is uit Color Cord kaartkarton gesneden, een boord geëmbossed in de Cuttlebug, daarna geschuurd.
