 This card was made for a music lover.

Een kaartje voor iemand die van muziek houdt.

 The new Woodgrain Texture stamp was used with Archival ink Watering Can.  Then I stamped the guitar from the Rockstar set below the woodgrain.  Words and star are also from this set.

De nieuwe Woodgrain Texture stempel is afgedrukt met Archival inkt Watering Can.  Daarna werd de gitaar uit de Rockstar set er onder gestempeld met zwarte inkt.  De woorden en ster zijn uit dezelfde set.

 Archival ink is waterproof, perfect for watercoloring with Distress Ink.

Archival inkt is watervast, perfect om daarna met Distress inkt in te kleuren.

Christmas Post Collage Tag

I love the effect of colored pencils on kraft.  So that's what I wanted to do when I received this Christmas Post Collage stamp from Darkroom Door in the mail.  I stamped with Archival ink.

Kleurpotloden op kraft blijft één van mijn favoriete manieren van inkleuren.  Toen ik deze Christmas Post Collage stempel van Darkroom Door in de brievenbus vond, wist ik meteen wat ik ermee zou doen.  Gestempeld met Archival inkt.

I sponged little dots around the stamped image, using a stencil and Distress ink.

Rondom de afbeelding gesponst met een stencil en Distress inkt.

I colored the image with pencils and used a paper stump to get a smooth look.

Ingekleurd met potloden, en met een doezelaar alles mooi glad gemaakt.

As finishing touches I used stickles on the ornaments, used my good old crimper at the bottom of the tag and punched a circle to use at the top of my tag.

Het label verder afgewerkt met stickles op de kerstballen, voor de onderkant van het label kwam mijn gouwe ouwe ribbelaar nog eens van pas.  Een rondje geponst om het label bovenaan af te werken.

Poppies Are Red

 Here's my bright red version of the Pretty Poppies Collage stamp by Darkroom Door.

Vandaag toon ik de Pretty Poppies Collagestempel, ingekleurd in fel rood, zoals de poppies het vaakst te zien zijn in het landschap.

 Distress Ink #Festive Berries was used to color the poppies.

Ze werden met Distress inkt #Festive Berries ingekleurd.

 I also used Black Soot and a green Distress Marker on the centers, and bright Peacock Feathers to do the background.

Met Black Soot en een groene Distress Marker kleurde ik de bloemharten.  Voor de achtergrond koos ik ook een felle kleur, Peacock Feathers.

The Pretty Poppies stamp was also used to stamp the on white card.

Op de witte kaart werd dezelfde stempel vier keer afgedrukt.

Els Brigé Stempels

Today is an exciting day for Els Brigé, as she started a new website, and she is launching her own, new (Dutch) stamps. 

Vandaag is een spannende dag voor Els Brigé, haar nieuwe website gaat live, en ze lanceert haar eigen nieuwe stempels met Nederlandse teksten.  Ik wil haar dan ook veel geluk wensen!

Pink Poppies

 I love poppies!  I was happy to see the Pretty Poppies Collage stamp in Darkroom Door's new release.

Ik hou van poppies!  En ik was dan ook blij om deze Pretty Poppies Collagestempel te zien bij de reeks nieuwe stempels van Darkroom Door.

 I stamped with Archival Ink #Plum and watercolored with Distress ink.

Gestempeld met Archival inkt #Plum en met Distress inkten en een penseel ingekleurd.

 I used a white crayon on the centers and the script to get a resist.

Waar ik kleur wilde vermijden, op de bloemharten en rond de tekst, gebruikte ik op voorhand een wit pastelkrijtje.

A hint of green was added to the centers and stems, using a green Distress Marker. To finish off the card I used the "dream" stamp from the Simply Circles set, punched it out with a 1 inch punch and attached it with foam tape to the card.

De harten en stengels kregen nog een vleugje groen van een Distress Marker.  De "dream" stempel uit de Simply Circles set gestempeld met Archival inkt, uitgeponst en met 3D tape op de kaart geplakt.

Darkroom Door - Inked Irises

Have you seen Darkroom Door's new stamps yet?  This Inked Irises Collage stamp is one of them.

Zag je de nieuwe stempels van Darkroom Door al?  Deze Inked Irises Collage stempel is er één van.

I used these Distress Inks with water on a craftsheet to create a background.  I used smooth watercolor paper.  I stamped the Dots Texture stamp with gesso.  To stamp the collage stamp I used black Archival ink.

Met Distress inkt Salty Ocean, Spiced Marmalade en water maakte ik de achtergrond op een craftsheet.  Ik gebruikte daarvoor Bristol papier van Canson.  De Dots texture stempel werd met gesso afgedrukt.  Daarna gebruikte ik zwarte Archival inkt om de collagestempel af te drukken.

I used colored pencils to color the flowers.  The sentiment from the Happy Birthday stamp set was stamped on a leftover strip of the background paper.

De bloemen werden met potloden ingekleurd.  De verjaardagswens werd op een restje papier van de achtergrond gestempeld.

Distress Stain - Sunflower

 I've made a bunch of cards, but I can't show them yet.  So here's a sunflower, made with Distress Stains and a black pen.

Ik maakte een aantal kaartjes, die ik nog niet kan tonen.  Dus vandaag een zonnebloem, gemaakt met Distress Stains en een zwart stiftje.

 Today I had fun coloring these doodled flowers.

Vandaag kleurde ik deze bloemen in, leuk om te doen.

 I shared this photo on Instagram back in July.  

Deze foto deelde ik al in juli op Instagram.

 These Distress inks were used to watercolor the background and the flowers.  I pressed the inkpads onto an acrylic block, and used a wet brush to pick up the ink and color the page.

Deze Distress inkten werden gebruikt.  Telkens een inktkussen op een acrylblok gedrukt, dat als palet dienst deed, en met een penseel de achtergrond en bloemen gekleurd.

 I dried the page with my heatgun and rubbed off the masking fluid.

Met de heattool alles goed droog gemaakt, en daarna de maskeergom afgewreven.
