Organizing Darkroom Door - Small Stencils

 If you are a crafter/stamper there is always something to organize :)  

On Darkroom Door's website I found a download link to print the storage case inserts.  Available for single stamps too.  Now my small Darkroom Door stencils are all in 1 place.

Als stempelen of kaarten maken je hobby is, valt er altijd wel iets op te ruimen of te sorteren. 

Op de website van Darkroom Door zag ik een link om zelf je index sheets te printen, die in hun opbergdozen passen.  Ook voor de losse stempels zijn er sheets.  Handig dat de kleine stencils er precies in passen.

 I used copy paper to print on, and decorated the sheet with stencils and Distress Oxide inks.

Gewoon printerpapier gebruikt, en de stencils met Distress Oxide inkten gesponst.

Inside this box are 10 stencils, some are in their packaging.

Er gaan makkelijk 10 stencils in 1 doos.  Sommige stencils zitten nog in hun verpakking.

Black & White - 363

 4 Artist Trading Coins with Vintage Automobiles for my black & white series.

4 Artist Trading Coins met Vintage Automobiles gemaakt voor mijn zwart-wit reeks.

 The car was stamped with black ink, and cut out.  I used these Darkroom Door background stamps.

De auto met zwarte inkt afgedrukt en uitgeknipt.  Deze achtergrondstempels erbij gebruikt.

Garden Birds - Hello

 A garden card.

Een tuinkaartje. 

 The birds and flower pots were stamped with Archival inks, and colored with Distress Crayons.   To stamp the fence I used Distress Oxide ink.

De vogeltjes en bloempotten werden met Archival inkt gestempeld en met Distress Crayons ingekleurd.  Om het hek te stempelen gebruikte ik Distress Oxide inkt.

I arranged the cut out pieces on white cardstock.  Finished the card off with black foliage and a stamp from the Simply Circles set.

De uitgeknipte delen op wit kaartkarton geplakt. Enkele zwarte takjes erbij gestempeld en een tekststempel uit de Simply Circles set.

Pages in my Gel Print Journal #9

 So glad I turned my gelprints into a journal.  Here's another page I finished.

Zo blij dat ik mijn gelprints ingebonden heb.  Weer een pagina af gemaakt.

 A lot of pages in my gel print journal need something to finish them.

Heel wat bladzijden in mijn gelprint journal hebben nog wat afwerking nodig.

 For this print I used an embossing folder on my gel plate.

Voor de print gebruikte ik deze embossingfolder op mijn gel plate.

 I doodled around the flowers and used Darkroom Door's Alphabet Medley stamp set to stamp a quote that I found online.

The small flower from the Full Bloom Vol 2 set is a favorite little stamp that I use often.

 De bloemen losjes nagetekend met een zwart pennetje.  Met de Alphabet Medley stempelset van Darkroom Door een citaat gestempeld dat ik online vond.  Het gestempelde bloemetje uit de Full Bloom Vol 2 set is een favoriet stempeltje dat ik regelmatig gebruik.

Darkroom Door - Garden Birds #5

A quick & easy card I made for Darkroom Door.  I used a gel print from my stash as a background for the little garden birds.  The large Circles stencil and Tribal background stamp were used on my gel plate to create the print.  I stamped the birds on the background, and once more on white cardstock to cut out.

I added texture using the new Swirls texture stamp with black Archival ink.  For the saying I used the Alphabet Medley stamp set.  

The frame was done with a black and a white pen.

Dit snel en makkelijk kaartje maakte ik voor Darkroom Door.  Uit mijn gelprint voorraad viste ik een achtergrond, die gemaakt werd met de grote Circles stencil en de Tribal achtergrondstempel op mijn gel plate.  De kleine vogels uit de Garden Birds set afgedrukt op de gelprint met zwarte Achival inkt en nog eens op wit kaartkarton om uit te knippen.

De nieuwe Swirls texture stempel hier en daar gedeeltelijk afgedrukt.  De tekst stempelde ik met de Alphabet Medley stempelset.  Tenslotte nog een lijstje rondom getekend met een witte en zwarte pen.

Darkroom Door - Garden Birds #4

A card I made for Darkroom Door, using the Garden Birds stamps.
I started with a thin coat of gesso, let it dry. The bird was stamped with black Archival ink. I used Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks to watercolor the bird, and to add a bit of color to the background
Deze kaart maakte ik voor Darkroom Door, met de Garden Birds stempelset.
Ik bracht eerst een dun laagje gesso aan.  De gesso goed laten drogen, en daarna de vogel met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt.  Met Scribble Sticks ingekleurd.  Ook de achtergrond alvast een beetje kleur gegeven.

I covered the bird with a mask, and used the large Circles stencil to sponge with Archival inks.  I also stamped the Swirls Texture stamp (a new one) using the same inks.  The poppy stems and words were stamped with black Archival ink. Shadow below the bird and poppies was done with a Scribble stick.

Het vogeltje bedekt met een maskertje om de achtergrond te sponzen.  Daarvoor gebruikte ik de grote Circles stencil van Darkroom Door met Archival inkten.  Dezelfde inkten gebruikt om de nieuwe Swirls texture stempel af te drukken.  De poppy stengels en tekst weer met zwarte inkt gestempeld.  Hier en daar wat schaduw aangebracht met een Scribble stick.

This journal is filled with prints from Birgit Koopsen's 31 days of gel printing challenge.  And this print with silly flowers was made for the crayon resist prompt. 

Mijn journal is gevuld met prints die ik maakte voor de 31 days of gel printing challenge van Birgit Koopsen.  Voor het crayon resist thema tekende ik deze "geweldige" bloemen :)

I used an old Hero Arts Alphabet set to stamp the words.

 As usual on Sundays, I made something from scraps and leftovers:  Artist Trading Coins.

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik weer iets met restjes:  Artist Trading Coins.

 I forgot to take a "before" photo.  Here I had already punched out the circles, and colored them with Distress Paints.

Helemaal vergeten om een "voor" foto te maken van mijn restjes.  Hier had ik al de cirkels uitgeponst en ingekleurd met Distress Paints.

Black & White - 362

 This week's black & white item is a pizza box I decorated with simple stamping.  

Voor mijn zwart-wit reeks bestempelde ik deze week de rand van een pizzadoos.

Als je mijn blog al een tijdje leest, heb je misschien mijn opberg-pizzadozen al gezien.

 After I had stamped the small Garden Birds, I used tiny stamps from several other stamp sets to add to the scene.

Eerst de kleine vogels uit de Garden Birds stempelset met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt, en daarna kleine stempels uit andere sets gebruikt om tafereeltjes te stempelen

Destiny

 On this card I combined some new Darkroom Door stamps:  the beautiful Suitcase and Tickets.  I stamped with Archival inks.  Words on the small tag are from the New York Vol 1 set, and I couldn't help adding a little Garden Bird :)

Een paar nieuwe stempels van Darkroom Door gebruikt op deze kaart:  de mooie Suitcase en Tickets.  Afgedrukt met Archival inkten.  De teksten op het labeltje zijn uit de New York Vol 1 stempelset.  En er is ook een kleine Garden Bird op de kaart geland :)

Poppies

 Poppies in our garden.  The petals don't last very long, as you can see on the picture below, taken 1 day later.  But I like the pods.  They last very long.  Love to photograph them, even at the end of summer, weather-beated.

Klaprozen in de tuin.  De bloemblaadjes vallen snel af, zoals je op deze foto's kan zien, ze werden 2 dagen na elkaar gemaakt.  Maar de zaaddozen vind ik prachtig.  Ze blijven lang mooi.  Zelfs als ze bruin en verweerd zijn, fotografeer ik ze nog :)

May all your Wishes come true

 Lots of butterflies on this card.  First I stamped the new Butterfly Note stamp, using Distress Oxide inks.  Next I covered the stamped butterfly with a butterfly stencil and sponged more Distress Oxide inks.  To stamp the small butterflies I used the Butterflies Background stamp.

Words are from the new Happy Birthday Sentiments stamp.  To ink up only the part I wanted to stamp, I covered the rest of the stamp with post-it notes.

Heel wat vlinders op deze kaart.  Ik begon met de nieuwe Butterfly Note stempel, afgedrukt met verschillende Distress Oxide inkten.  Daarna de afdruk met een vlinderstencil bedekt en met nog meer Distress Oxide inkten gesponst.  Voor de kleine vlinders onderaan de kaart gebruikte ik een achtergrondstempel. 

De nieuwe Happy Birthday Sentiments stamp gebruikt.  Gedeeltelijk beïnkt, door de rest met post-it briefjes te bedekken.

 Some pages in my gel print journal again.  I used the Garden Birds stamps on two "feather" gel print pages.

Weer enkele pagina's in mijn gel print journal bestempeld.  Deze keer koos ik pagina's met veren, om er de Garden Birds op te stempelen.

 On this page I added a quote from the Love Birds set, and a favorite branch from the Foliage set.

Hier stempelde ik een citaat uit de Love Birds set erbij, en een favoriet takje uit de Foliage stempelset.

 Some Fine Leaves and little Garden Birds here.  Words from the Love Birds set again.

I colored my stamping lightly with pencils.  It is not easy to get some color from pencils on an acrylic paint background, but that's ok. 

Blaadjes uit de Fine Leaves set en kleine vogeltjes uit de Garden Birds set.  Weer een bijpassende tekst uit de Love Birds set gebruikt.  Alles lichtjes ingekleurd met potloden.  Dat "pakt" niet goed op de achtergrond van acrylverf, maar ik vind het ok.
