 Last week I made a pile of gel prints, using new Abstract Stamps from Darkroom Door with Amsterdam acrylic paints.  So handy to have these ready for a quick card.

Vorige week maakte ik een stapel gelprints met enkele nieuwe Abstract stempels van Darkroom Door en Amsterdam acrylverf.  Handige voorraad om snel een kaartje klaar te hebben.

 After seeing Leonie in action on Hochanda yesterday, I wanted to use my photography stamps.  I stamped with black Archival ink over the gelprint.  The vintage camera was stamped on white cardstock and cut out.

Gisteren zag ik Leonie in actie op Hochanda, en kreeg meteen zin om ook met mijn fotografiestempels van Darkroom Door aan de slag te gaan.  Met zwarte Archival inkt gestempeld op de gelprint.  De camera op wit kaartkarton gestempeld om uit te knippen.

Een gelprint uit deze stapel als achtergrond gebruikt bij deze kaart.  Deze gelprint maakt ik met Abstract stempels van Darkroom Door en Amsterdam acrylverf.

Be Brave

 I stamped the quote over the gel print, using Archival Ink Thistle.  I heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I used a die to cut the rectangle, glued it onto burgundy paper and put it back in place.

De quotestempel op de gelprint afgedrukt met Archival Inkt Thistle, en meteen met kleurloos embossingpoeder bestrooid.  Achival inkt kan je embossen als je snel werkt.  Met een stans een rechthoek uitgesneden, en met een bordeaux papiertje eronder terug op zijn plaats geplakt.

The same burgundy paper was used to cut some flowers.  I added liquid pearls in the center of each flower.

Uit hetzelfde bordeaux papier bloemetjes gestanst.  Ze kregen een oranje Liquid Pearls hart.

 I stamped with black Archival ink.

Met zwarte Archival inkt gestempeld.

 Next I used Distress inks to sponge and stencil the page.

Met Distress inkten de pagina gesponst.  Rondom de leeuw gebruikte ik een stencil.

To color the Abstract 05 stamp I used these Caran d' Ache pencils.

Met deze Caran d' Ache potloden de blokjes van de Abstract 05 stempel ingekleurd.

Sunday Scraps - 504

 As usual on Sundays, I made something using scraps.  

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik weer iets met restjes.

The Warm Wishes stamp set is a new favorite :)  Here I used the flowers on 'underpaper'.  I also used a Texture stamp and Dutch words.  I stamped with Distress Oxide ink and Archival ink.  To ink the edges I used Distress Ink.

Deze Warm Wishes stempelset is een nieuwe favoriet :)  Enkele bloemetjes op kladpapier gestempeld.  Ook een Texture stempel kwam er aan te pas, en een Nederlandse tekststempel.  Gestempeld met Distress Oxide inkt en Archival inkt.  De randen gesponst met Distress inkt.

Black & White - 448

Here's a little quick & easy notebook I made in black & white.

Een klein notaboekje gemaakt, snel en makkelijk, en zwart-wit.

When I was making a wrapped journal a while ago, I was not paying attention, and cut my pages too small.  Today I used 1 of these signatures to create this little booklet.

Toen ik laatst de pagina's voor een wrapped journal sneed, was ik verstrooid en sneed ze te klein.  Vandaag al 1 katern gebruikt om dit miniboekje te maken.

I stamped the Abstract 05 stamp from Darkroom Door several times on the front cover, using Versamark ink, and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  A pamphlet stitch was used the bind the notebook.  I rounded the corners of the cover.

De Abstract 05 stempel van Darkroom Door een aantal keren afgedrukt op het kaftje met Versamark inkt, om met wit poeder te embossen.  Een makkelijke pamfletsteek gebruikt om het boekje te binden.

On today's cards I used the new Abstract 05 Stamp from Darkroom Door.  I love their Abstract Stamp collection.
Vandaag enkele kaarten die ik maakte met de nieuwe Abstract 05 stempel van Darkroom Door.  Toffe stempels om mee te werken, die Abstract reeks.

On both cards I used a gel print (see previous blogpost)
Op beide kaarten een gelprint gebruikt (zie vorige blogbericht)

 For the first card I stamped some bottles over a gel print, using Thistle Archival ink, clear embossed and cut them out.  I used the Abstract 05 stamp again to stamp on the bottom edge of the bottles. 
Voor de eerste kaart stempelde ik met Thistke Archival inkt de flessen op een gelprint, kleurloos geëmbosst en uitgeknipt.  Onderaan op de flessen nog eens de Abstract 05 stempel afgedrukt.

I've been neglecting my Distress Inks lately, so here I used them to sponge a background.  I also used a new stencil:  Grunge Borders.  A flower and saying from the Warm Wishes stamp set were stamped with Thistle Archival ink too.  Love that color!  Glued the bottles onto the background.
Sinds de Distress Oxide inkten er zijn heb ik mijn gewone Distress inkten een beetje uit het oog verloren.  Maar hier gebruikte ik ze weer eens om de achtergrond te sponzen.  Ook een nieuwe stencil gebruikt:  Grunge Borders.  De bloemen en tekst uit de Warm Wishes stempelset met Thistle Archival inkt afgedrukt op de achtergrond, en de flessen op de kaart geplakt.

The coffee cup and Shipping Tags were stamped over a gel print using Jet Black Archival ink and cut out.  I stamped the tags once more onto the kraft card.  At the bottom of the card I stamped the Abstract 05 stamp using black Archival ink.  The saying I used is from the Warm Wishes stamp set.
De koffiekop en labels op een gelprint afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt, en uitgeknipt.  De labels en de Abstract 05 stempel nogmaals met zwarte inkt op de kraft kaart gestempeld.  De uitgeknipte labels en koffiekop op de kaart geplakt.  Weer een tekststempel uit de Warm Wishes set gebruikt.

 Here's another card I made for Darkroom Door, using a new Sentiment Stamp:  Dream Big.

Voor Darkroom Door maakte ik deze kaart met een nieuwe Sentiment stempel:  Dream Big.

 I used these Distress Oxide Sprays to do the background.

Met deze Distress Oxide Sprays een achtergrond gemaakt.

After I had stamped the Abstract 04 stamp at the bottom of the card, I covered it with a sticky note to stamp the words.  I also used some stamps from the New York collection on the background.  

The car from the Classic Cars set was stamped on white cardstock and cut out.

Eerst de Abstract 04 stempel onderaan afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt, bedekt met een post-it om de woorden te stempelen.  Ook enkele stempels uit de New York collectie gestempeld op de achtergrond.  De auto uit de Classic Cars set op wit kaartkarton gestempeld en uitgeknipt.

I stamped the Dream Big stamp again onto white cardstock, to cut some of the words out.  I used foam tape to attach the words to the card.  The car was glued in place, using glue at the bottom and foam tape at the top of the car.

De Dream Big stempel nogmaals afgedrukt op wit kaartkarton om enkele woorden uit te stansen.  Die plakte ik op de kaart met 3D tape.  Ook de auto opgeplakt, met lijm onderaan en 3D tape bovenaan.

Lots of words for future cardmaking.

Veel teksten om later te gebruiken.

Sunday Scraps - 503

 As usual on Sundays, I made something using scraps and left over pieces.  These mini cards are 3".  I used a gel print, Sizzix dies and a Karen Burniston die cut.  

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik weer iets met restjes.  De afmeting van deze kaartjes is 7,5 cm.  Ik gebruikte een gelprint en Sizzix stansen.  Het groene papier was uitgesneden met een Karen Burniston stans.

Black & White - 447

 A bunch of encouraging words, in black and white.  

Aanmoedingende woorden in zwart wit.  

 I love the Sentiment Stamps by Darkroom Door.  This one from the new release is called 'Dream Big'.  I stamped with black Archival ink on white cardstock, and heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock.

  Ik ben fan van de Sentiment Stamps van Darkroom Door.  Deze 'Dream Big' stempel is een nieuwe.  Op wit kaartkarton drukte ik hem af met zwarte Archival inkt.  Op het zwarte kaartkarton stempelde ik met Versamark inkt, om daarna met wit poeder te embossen.

 I have cut the sayings apart and glued them back to back, mixing them up, and adding black & white baker's twine. 

 De teksten doorgeknipt en met de achterkanten tegen elkaar geplakt, met een zwart-wit bakkerskoord ertussen.  

  

 On the bottom piece I stamped some little stars.

Op het onderste kaartje stempelde ik enkele sterretjes.

An envelope filled wiht encouraging words!  I stamped a quote on the glassine envelope, using black Archival ink.  I was not sure if the ink would dry completely, so I used clear powder to emboss the quote.

Een zakje gevuld met aanmoedigende woorden!  Op een glassine envelop drukte ik de quote stempel af met zwarte Archival inkt.  Omdat ik niet zeker was of de inkt volledig zou drogen, deed ik er een laatje kleurloos embossing overheen.

Here's another card I made for Darkroom Door, using the new Warm Wishes stamp set.

Distress Oxide Spray inks were used on the background.

Met Distress Oxide Spray inkten een achtergrond gemaakt.

Next I used a new Darkroom Door stencil to sponge the hearts with Distress inks.

Daarna met Distress inkten de hartjes gesponst door een nieuwe Darkroom Door stencil.

To stamp the flowers and words from the Warm Wishes set I used black Archival ink.  The grass border from the Nature Walk set was stamped twice, using Fern Green and Jet Black Archival.  

Om de bloemen en tekst uit de Warm Wishes set af te drukken gebruikte ik zwarte Archival inkt.  Het grasrandje uit de Nature Walk set past mooi bij deze bloemen vind ik.  Tweemaal afgedrukt, met Fern Green en Jet Black Archival inkt.
