Flower Card for all Occasions

A flower card I made today.

Een bloemenkaart gestempeld vandaag.

 I used Ecoline brush pens to ink up the stamps.

De stempels beïnkt met Ecoline brush pennen.

The colors I used.

Deze kleuren gebruikt.

The flower is from the Beautiful Blooms set.  I added grass and weeds from the Nature Walk set, and a bee from the Buzzing Bees stamp set.

De mooie bloem komt uit de Beautiful Blooms stempelset.  Erbij stempelde ik grassen en onkruid uit de Nature Walk set.  En er was nog plek voor een bijtje uit de Buzzing Bees set.

Around the stamped images I sponged with Iced Spruce Distress Ink, through a DarkroomDoor stencil.

Rondom gesponst met Distress inkt Iced Spruce doorheen een DarkroomDoor stencil.

Sunday Scraps - 526

 

As usual on Sundays I made something using scraps and left over pieces.  Today I made these tags with a seaside theme, using the scraps you see on the picture below.

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik iets met restjes.  Vandaag werden dat 2 labels met het thema strand.  Hieronder zie je de restjes waar ik mee aan de slag ging.

Black & White - 471

 

I love using my photos on my cards.  I captured this bird a few days ago.  Turned the picture into black & white (in fact it is dark grey)  using PSE. 

Op mijn kaarten gebruik ik vaak foto's.  Dit vogeltje kreeg ik de voorbije week voor mijn lens in de tuin.  In Photoshop Elements veranderde ik de foto in zwart-wit (donkergrijs eigenlijk) 

I added words from DarkroomDoor's Love Birds stamp set.

Een tekstje erbij gestempeld uit de Love Birds stempelset van DarkroomDoor.

I stamped with Archival ink Watering Can, a nice grey ink, to match the grey in my photo.

Met Archival inkt Watering Can gestempeld, een mooie grijze inkt die bij het grijs in de foto past.

Find the Beauty in every Day

Another gel print from my stash was used as a background on this card.  

Weer een kaart gemaakt met een gelprint uit mijn voorraad.

This stencil was used on the gel print. 

Deze stencil werd gebruikt om de gelprint te maken.

The gel print had a lot of white space.  That's where I stamped the Flower Garden Texture stamp using Archival Ink Garden Patina.

Er was veel witruimte op deze gelprint.  Daar drukte ik de Flower Garden Texture stempel af met Archival inkt Garden Patina.

To stamp the other texture stamps, the flower and the saying I used Archival ink Watering Can, a favorite grey ink.

Om de andere texture stempels, de bloem en de tekst af te drukkken gebruikte ik Archival inkt Watering Can, een mooie grijze inkt.

Blogger changes my text below the photos into a link, makes me switch to html and back.  Adding tags is not as easy as it was.  When I look at my blog on my phone, photos are stretched,... pffffffff

Ben helemaal niet blij met de vernieuwingen bij Blogger.  Voor mij zijn het geen verbeteringen, integendeel!  Het duurt een eeuwigheid om een blogbericht te schrijven.  Blogger verandert de tekst onder mijn foto's in een link, waardoor ik telkens naar de html versie moet overschakelen om de fout recht te zetten.  Tags toevoegen is lastig.  Als ik mijn blog op mijn telefoon bekijk zijn de foto's helemaal uitgerekt...

On this card I used a gel print from my stash as a background.  I added some Texture stamps:  Flower Garden and Torn Text, stamped with Archival inks Pink Peony and Potting Soil.

Voor deze kaart gebruikte ik een gelprint uit mijn voorraad als achtergrond.  Ik drukte er enkele Texture stempels op af:  Flower Garden en Torn Text met Archival inkten Pink Peony en Potting Soil.

Baby Girl

A card for a baby girl.

Een babykaart voor een meisje.

Inspiration came from the birth favor.

Inspiratie gevonden in de doopsuiker.

I used Ecoline brush pens to ink up the stamps and a gold gel pen to add the dots between flowers and leaves, to mimic the tiny card.

De stempels werden beïnkt met Ecoline brush pennen.  Met een gouden gelpen plaatste ik stippen tussen de bloemen en blaadjes, zoals die op het kleine kaartje.

On the baby announcement card was a ladybug, so I wanted to stamp one on my card too.

Op het geboortekaartje zag ik ook een lieveheersbeestje, dus stempelde ik er eentje op mijn kaart.

Sunday Scraps -525

I'm trying to get back into stamping routine.  Here's a little booklet I made for my Sunday Scraps series.

Ik probeer terug mijn stempelroutine op te pikken.  Dit boekje maakte ik voor mijn Sunday Scraps reeks.

Darkroom Door has a lot of flower stamps.  I would have to make more booklets like this, to use them all.  Each stamp was used only once here.  So, a lot of stamps to clean after I finished my project :)

Darkroom Door heeft veel mooie bloemenstempels.  Ik zou er enkele boekjes zoals dit mee kunnen vullen.  Elke stempel werd maar  keer afgedrukt hier, dus veel stempels proper te maken achteraf :)

I used scratch paper (see last photo) and used the Dots Texture stamp and stamps from the Lots of Labels set to add texture.  

Ik gebruikte en vel kladpapier (zie laatste foto).  Met de Dots Texture stempel en enkele stempels uit de Lots of Labels set een achtergrond gemaakt.

All flowers were stamped with black Archival ink.

Alle bloemen werden met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt.

Bumblebee

The Waterlogue app on my phone was used to edit a garden photo.  I wish I could paint like this :)

Een tuinfoto bewerkt met de Waterlogue app op mijn telefoon.  Ik wou dat ik zo kon schilderen :)

Black & White - 470

 No stamping on this week's black & white item.  I recycled a cosmetic spray bottle and cleaned my fine tip applicator.

On the spray bottle I used a Posca pen to add the white dots.  I hope they will not rub off.  The fine tip applicator was decorated with striped tape. 

Niets gestempeld voor mijn zwart-wit reeks deze keer.  Ik recycleerde een lege deodorantverstuiver en maakte mijn fine tip lijmflesje schoon.  

Op de verstuiver zette ik witte stippen met een Posca pen.  Op het lijmflesje plakte ik gestreepte tape.  Dat ziet er weer netjes uit.

Spiral Notebook - Masking #3

 Love the new Speckled Egg Distress Inks.  I combined the ink here with Peeled Paint.

I used Distress Oxide ink to stamp, and Distress Ink to sponge on this card.

Post-it notes were used to mask parts of the card, so I could stamp 'inside' and 'behind' the notebook and tags.

 Mooie kleur, die nieuwe Speckled Egg.  Op deze kaart gecombineerd met Peeled Paint.  Met Distress Oxide inkten gestempeld en met Distress inkt gesponst.

Post-its gebruikt om delen van de kaart te bedekken, zo kon ik 'in' en 'achter' het notaboekje en labels stempelen.

Caravan Trip - Masking #2

 On today's card I used the masking technique again, to decorate the caravan and car, and to stamp 'behind' them.

Op deze kaart gebruikte ik weer de maskertechniek, om de caravan en auto te bestempelen, en om er 'achter' te stempelen.

 I used black Archival ink to stamp the caravan and classic car.  Masks were cut to stamp the Flower Garden Texture Stamp with red Archival Distress ink.  Next I covered them to stamp the trees with black ink.  To sponge the trees I used Distress Oxide inks.  At the bottom of the card I sponged with Distress Oxide Ink Mowed Lawn, and stamped the Stone Background to add texture before I removed the masks.

De caravan en oldtimer werden met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt.  Ik sneed maskertjes om de rode bloemenpatroon op de caravan en auto de kunnen stempelen.  Daarna de caravan en auto helemaal bedekt om de bomen met zwarte inkt af te drukken. Met Oxide inkten werd het bladerdek gesponst.  Onderaan ook met groene inkt gesponst, en met de Stone achtergrondstempel textuur aangebracht.  Daarna mochten de maskertjes verwijderd worden.

 Couldn't help doodling a little bit.

Er moesten wat bloemetjes bij gekrabbeld worden.
