I used the Cheetah Texture Stamp from with Distress Oxide ink to stamp the flower centers.  Next I started adding petals, using Ecoline Brush Pens.

Om de bloemhartjes te stempelen nam ik de Cheetah texture stempel, afgedrukt met Distress Oxide inkt.  De bloemblaadjes maakte ik met Ecoline Brush Pennen.

As usual on Sundays I made something using scraps and left over pieces.

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik iets met restjes.

When I was using the Ransom Alphabet stamps from Darkroom Door in my art journal, I stamped leftover ink on this scrap paper.

Een kladpapier vol gestempelde letters van de Ransom Alphabet set van Darkroom Door, ontstond vanzelf tijdens het stempelen van een quote in mijn art journal.

I colored the paper with Distress Stains.

Het papier gekleurd met Distress Stains.

On the oval I stamped the Step-through Bicycle.  Words are from the Party Balloons set.

Een ovaal uit de witte papierrestjen gesneden en er de fiets op afgedrukt.  Tekststempels zijn uit de Party Balloons set.

On a white folded card I stamped the Plaid background stamp from Darkroom Door using Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide ink.

Op een witte dubbele kaart stempelde ik de Plaid achtergrondstempel van Darkroom Door met Distress Oxide inkt Shabby Shutters.

I still have to make some Christmas cards, but today I wanted to make a simple black & white card.

Eigenlijk moet ik nog wat kerstkaarten maken, maar vandaag had ik zin in een eenvoudige zwart-wit kaart.

I've made a wavy cut in a post-it note to create masks .

Een post-it doormidden gesneden om de gegolfde maskertjes te maken.

On the left hand side I sponged with Archival ink through the large Checkerd stencil.  At the right hand side I used the Daisy Delight background stamp.  Saying is from the Party Balloons stamp set.

De linkerkant is gesponst met zwarte Archival inkt door de grote Checkered stencil.  Aan de rechterkant drukte ik de Daisy Delight achtergrondstempel af.  Een tekststempel erbij uit de Party Balloons stempelset.

Sunday Scraps - 585

As usual on Sundays I made something using scraps or left over pieces (see last photo in this blogpost).  Because I wanted to stamp the saying at the bottom, I've cut the stamped piece apart and rearranged the pieces.

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik iets met restjes (zie laatste foto in dit blogbericht). Omdat ik de tekst onderaan wilde stempelen, heb ik het gestempelde restje versneden en op een andere manier  terug aan elkaar gekleefd.

To make the white cardstock match with the patterned paper I inked with these Distress inks.

Om het witte kaartkarton te laten matchen met het gedessineerd papier koos ik deze Distress inkten.

A saying from the Party Balloons set and the zig-zag stitches were stamped with Archival Ink Night Sky.

Een tekststempel uit de Party Ballons set en de zigzagsteekjes afgedrukt met Archival inkt Night Sky.

The image on the scrap paper was from this Botanical Script set.

De afdruk op het restje papier waarmee ik begon komt uit de Botanical Script stempelset.

Tags - Baby

I really love this small Checkered stencil from Darkroom Door.  Today I used the stencil on a set of baby tags.

Deze kleine Checkered stencil van Darkroom Door is een absolute favoriet.  Vandaag gebruikte ik 'em op een set baby labels.

Only 1 inkpad was used.  The Distress Marker was used to make the string from the balloon a bit longer.  I stamped and masked the images from the Hello Baby Vol 1 stamp set and the balloon.

Slechts 1 stempelinkt gebruikt.  Distress Marker in dezelfde kleur gebruikt om het touwtje wat langer te maken.  Ballon en stempels uit de Hello Baby Vol 1 set afgedrukt en met een maskertje bedekt.

I sponged through the stencil, moved the stencil a bit to sponge without using extra ink, hence the soft brown squares.

Door de stencil gesponst, daarna de stencil een beetje verschoven om de lichtere blokjes te sponzen, dat deed ik zonder extra inkt te gebruiken.

Watercolor Wednesday #2

When I was doing a page for my black & white series in my sketchbook, I thought this could be a card.

Terwijl ik een pagina in mijn schetsboek maakte voor mijn zwart-wit reeks, vond ik dat het een kaart kon worden.

I had used a stencil to draw the rectangles.

Een stencil gebruikt om de vakjes te tekenen.

I stamped the images using black Archival ink.  This ink is waterproof, perfect for watercoloring my card.

Gestempeld met zwarte Archival inkt.  Die is watervast, perfect dus om mijn kaart met aquarelverf in te kleuren.

Let Go

Using the new Party Balloons stamp set from Darkroom Door in my Dyalog journal.

De nieuwe Party Balloons stempelset van Darkroom Door in mijn Dyalog journal gebruikt.

I chose these pages to work on.  I had picked up Speckled Egg Distress Ink after another project.

Deze pagina's uitgekozen om iets mee te doen.  Distress inkt Speckled Egg opgenomen van mijn glasplaat na een vorig project.

I sponged with Distress inks through the small Checkered stencil.  Gesso was used to soften the colors.

Met Distress inkten door de kleine Checkered stencil gesponst.  Daarna hier en daar gesso aangebracht om het geheel wat te verzachten.

I used several stamp sets to stamp a quote that I found online.  I stamped with black Archival ink.  Distress Crayons were used to color the balloons and Sketched letters.

Met verschillende stempelsets een tekst afgedrukt die ik online vond.  Gestempeld met zwarte Archival inkt.  De ballonnen en Sketched letters met Distress Crayons ingekleurd.

Darkroom Door - Party Balloons

Using the Party Balloons stamp set and Brushed Stars texture stamp from Darkroom Door's new release on these cards.

De Party Balloons stempelset en Brushed Stars texture stempel van Darkroom Door zijn nieuw.

I've inked the long stamping block with Distress Oxide inks, misted with water and pressed the inked block on a A4 sheet of cardstock.  Next I used the Brushed Stars stamp with Distress Oxides Carved Pumpkin, Kitsch Flamingo and Scattered Straw.  Balloons were stamped with black Archival ink on this colored background, and on another piece of cardstock that was inked with Carved Pumpkin and Kitch Flamingo.  The balloons and sayings were cut out and glued in place.

De lange stempelblok gebruikte ik als 'stempel' op de achtergronden, beïnkt met Distress Oxides waar ik water over vernevelde.  Deze stempelblok is lang genoeg om een A4 vel te bedekken.  De Brushed Stars texture stempel afgedrukt met Distress Oxides Kitsch Flamingo, Carved Pumpkin en Scattered Straw.  De ballonnen met zwarte Archival inkt op deze achtergronden afgedrukt.  Een ander stuk kaartkarton beïnkt met Kitsch Flamingo en Carved Pumpkin om de ballonnen nogmaals te stempelen en uit te knippen.  Ook de teksten afgedrukt op dit gekleurd kaartkarton.  De uitgeknipte delen op de kaart geplakt.

Sunday Scraps - 578

Rainbow balloons on this week's Sunday Scraps cards.  Card size is 4" x 4".

I used the new Party Balloons stamp set from Darkroom Door, and a label from the Lots of Labels stamp set.

De nieuwe Party Balloons stempelset gebruikt en een label uit de Lots of Labels stempelset.

I have some left over paper from the Artful August Challenge, where I had changed my mind or something went wrong :)   To do the rainbow colors here, I had used Distress Stains.

Na de Arftul August Challenge heb ik weer een stapeltje restpapier, omdat ik van idee veranderde, of omdat er iets mis liep :)  De regenboogkleuren maakte ik met Distress Stains.
