Spinning Card

We have a big family, so lots of kids to send a card when they are on a camp.

Als je een grote familie hebt is er altijd wel een kind op kamp, dat een kaartje wil ontvangen :)

I used my old Maryse Carrier stamps.  I think they still are available at Stampotique Originals.  Background stamp by Darkroom Door and a Dutch word by Els Brigé.

Mijn gouwe ouwe Maryse Carrier stempels weer gebruikt.  Ik denk dat die bij Stampotique Originals nog verkrijgbaar zijn.  De stippen achtergrondstempel is van Darkroom Door, de tekststempel van Els Brigé.

Christmas Accordion Card

Here's an interactive Christmas card I made, using Wendy Vecchi products with Karen Burniston dies.

Een accordion kerstkaart gemaakt met Wendy Vecchi producten en snijmallen van Karen Burniston.

These Karen Burniston dies were used to cut the pages and frames.

Deze stansen van Karen Burniston gebruikte ik om de pagina's en lijstjes uit te snijden.

I used Wendy Vecchi Archival ink English Ivy to ink the pages, and to do all stamping on my card.

To do the blue backgrounds inside de card I've cut the panels first.  Love how the panels turned out after embossing them with inked embossing folders. New ink and old embossing folders :)

Om de blauwe achtergrondjes te maken sneed ik 6 paneeltjes uit.  Ik vind het effect wel leuk na het embossen met beïnkte embossingfolders.  Ook leuk om oudere embossingfolders met nieuwe inkt te combineren.

The panels were decorated with stamped images from the Warm Wishes stamp, die & stencil set.  To do the watercoloring I used these Liquid Pearls for a soft shimmer.

Alle paneeltjes versierd met stempelwerk.  Daarvoor gebruikte ik de Warm Wishes stempel-, stans- en stencilset.  Ingekleurd met Liquid Pearls voor een zacht glanzend resultaat.

Because we need a spot to write something down, 1 panel is removable.

Dit paneeltje kan er uit genomen worden om iets neer te schrijven.

Black & White - 508

This week's black & white item is a mini wobble card, size is just over 3"

Voor mijn zwart-wit reeks maakte ik deze week een mini wiebelkaart.  De cirkel is ongeveer 7,5 cm.

Shadow Box Card

Love making interactive cards for kids.  Made this one after watching a video by Jennifer McGuire.

Kaartjes maken voor kinderen vind ik leuk om te doen.  Dit kaartje maakte ik nadat ik een video zag van Jennifer McGuire.

On the background I used a heat emboss resist technique with a Darkroom Door backround stamp, and Make Art Blendable Dye inks.

Op de achtergrond gebruikte ik de heat emboss resist techniek, met een achtergrondstempel van Darkroom Door en Make Art Blendable Dye inkten.

I punched 2 balloons and colored them with Make Art inks.

Twee ballonnen geponst en met Make Art inkten gekleurd.

The little heart from the All Occasions set and Happy Birthday were stamped onto the balloons, using black Archival Ink.  To stamp the cupcake I used Make Art Blendable Dye ink.

Het hartje uit de All Occasions set, en Happy Birthday op de ballonnen gestempeld met zwarte Archival inkt.  Voor de cupcake nam ik weer Make Art Blendable Dye inkt.

On scrap paper I stamped the number 2 from the Sketched Numbers set.  I turned it into a candle and added Liquid Pearls to the flame.

Het cijfer 2 uit de Sketched Numbers set afgedrukt op een restje papier, een wiek en vlam erbij getekend, uitgeknipt en Liquid Pearls op de vlam aangebracht.

Darkroom Door - Sketched Numbers #1

DarkroomDoor released new stamps.  I received the Sketched Numbers set, which I love.  These numbers will go well with the Sketched Alphabet.  But today I used some numbers on a birthday card.

DarkroomDoor bracht nieuwe stempels uit.  Ik ontving de Sketched Numbers set.  Deze nonchalante cijfers passen perfect bij de letters van de Sketched Alphabet set.  Vandaag gebruikte ik enkele cijfers uit de set op een verjaardagskaart.

Sketched Numbers

I started with a gel print.  The circles at the left hand side (Abstract 02) were already on the gel print.  I added the new Abstract 11 stamp on the right hand side, using Archival Ink Dandelion.

Gestart met een gelprint.  De cirkels aan de linkerkant (Abstract 02) zaten al op de gelprint.  Aan de rechterkant drukte ik de nieuwe Abstract 11 stempel af met Archival inkt Dandelion.

To stamp the word block I used black Archival ink.

De word block stempel afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt.

The Sketched Numbers were printed on a gelprint and cut out.  To make them stand out against the background I glued them on a stamped label from the Lots of Labels set.

De Sketched Numbers op een stukje gelprint afgedrukt en uitgeknipt.  Ze kregen een wit gestempeld label als achtergrond, een stempel uit de Lots of Labels set.

For a fun detail I used a wobble spring.

Voor een extra accent gebruikte ik een springveertje.

I used brayer paper from a gel print session, and stamped the dots with Archival ink.

Here's a wobble card I made for a little girl.

Een wiebelkaart gemaakt voor een kleine meid.

The penguins were stamped with Versafine ink.  I used a Distress Marker and a black pen to color them.  Had to draw an igloo.  To do the cloud I used a stencil from DarkroomDoor.

De pinguïns werden gestempeld met zwarte Versafine inkt.  Ingekleurd met een Distress Marker en een zwart pennetje.  Ik tekende de iglo.  Om de wolk te tekenen gebruikte ik een stencil van Darkroom Door.

Bridge Card - Castle, Knight & Dragon

Made this birthday card for a boy.  It is a bridge card.  

Een verjaardagskaart gemaakt voor een jongen.  Dit kaartmodel blijft mooi rechtop staan. 

I used die sets from Karen Burniston and Avery Elle.

Stansen gebruikt van Karen Burniston en Avery Elle.

I used black mat cardstock (300g) for the base.  Next I colored the backgrounds using white cardstock with Distress Inks on my glass mat, cut to size and glued onto the black cardstock.  All pieces were glued in place.  Sentiment is a DarkroomDoor stamp.

Zwart kaartkarton  gebruikt voor de basis.  Wit kaartkarton gekleurd met Distress inkten op mijn glasplaat.  Op maat gesneden en op de zwarte kaart gekleefd.  Alle elementen opgeplakt en een tekststempel van DarkroomDoor gebruikt.

The card folds flat to go inside an envelope.  

De kaart kan platgedrukt worden, zo past ze in een gewone omslag.

Darkroom Door Eclectic Stamp - Television

Here's a slider card I made, using the vintage Television stamp from Darkroom Door's new release.  I love making cards like these, but always forget that they are difficult to photograph :(

Een schuifkaart gemaakt met de vintage Television stempel die Darkroom Door pas uitbracht.  Ik vind het altijd leuk om dit soort kaarten te maken, alleen vergeet ik telkens dat ze moeilijk te fotograferen zijn  :(

I used stamps from the London Vol 2 set, stamped with Archival ink Potting Soil.  To add texture I used a background stamp and texture stamps, all listed at the end of this blogpost.  'Dream, imagine, journey' is a small stamp from the Prague Vol 1 set.
