Faux Postage - Carved Stamp

Made some quick and easy faux postage stamps.

Weer een setje nep postzegels gemaakt.

Found a carved stamp in my stash that had just the right size to go with my previoux faux postage stamps.

Een gekerfde stempel uit mijn voorraad gebruikt, die net het juiste formaat had om bij de eerder gemaakte postzegels te passen.

Stamped with Distress Oxide inks.

Met Distress Oxide inkten afgedrukt.

Finished off with a postmark and cancellation stamp from Darkroom Door's Venetian Vol 1 set.

Stempels uit de Venetian Vol 1 set van Darkroom Door erbij gebruikt.  Cijfers zijn van Invoke Art.

Sunday Scraps - 648 ; Faux Postage - Leaves

Left over pieces were used to create these faux postage stamps.  Theme is Autumn Leaves.

Restjes gebruikt om nog eens nep postzegels te maken.  Zo leuk om te doen.  Thema is herfstblaadjes.

I used the small stamps from my Carved Leaves stamp set with Distress Oxide inks.

De kleine stempels uit mijn Carved Leaves stempelset gebruikt met Distress Oxide inkten.

Finished off with Global Postmarks stamps and a texture stamp.

Faux Postage Stamps - Insects

Made another set of faux postage stamps. 

Weer een setje nep postzegels gemaakt. 

I used a Darkroom Door stencil to draw the squares, and to sponge with Distress inks.  

Een stencil van Darkroom Door gebruikt om de vierkantjes te tekenen, en te sponzen met Distress inkten.

Subtle texture.

Subtiel gebruik gemaakt van een texture stempel.

The insect stamps are by Art Journey.  I stamped with black Archival ink and used Talens Van Gogh paints to color them.

De insecten zijn oudere stempels van Art Journey.  Afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt, ingekleurd met Talens Van Gogh aquarelverf.

As a finishing touch I used the Global Postmarks stamp set from Darkroom Door.

Ook weer de Global Postmarks stempelset van Darkroom Door gebruikt.

The small numbers and currency stamps are very old, I think they were by Invoke Arts.

De kleine cijferstempeltjes en het euro symbool zijn heel oude stempeltjes, ik denk van Invoke Arts.

Keeping hem all in this small tin.

In een blikje bewaar ik alles bij elkaar.

Trying to get back into stamping modus with these simple black & white faux postage stamps.

Faux Postage Stamps - Gathered Flowers

On these faux postage stamps I used the new Gathered Flowers stamp set from Darkroom Door.

Weer een setje 'postzegels' gemaakt.  De bloemen uit de nieuwe Gathered Flowers stempelset van Darkroom Door lenen er zich perfect voor.

First I stamped the squares, using Darkroom Door's Frame stamp Shadow 6 UP with Distress Ink Lost Shadow.  I used my special scissors to cut them out.

Eerst de vierkantjes afgedrukt met de frame stempel Shadow 6UP van Darkroom Door met Distress inkt Lost Shadow. De vierkantjes uitgeknipt met mijn postzegelrandschaar.

I inked the flower stamps with Distress Markers.  

De bloemenstempels beïnkt met Distress Markers.

Stamps from the Global Postmarks set were used to finish off the faux postages stamps.

Today I wanted to create some faux postage stamps.

Vandaag had ik zin om 'postzegels' te stempelen.

I used a stencil from Darkroom Door (forgot to take a picture) to sponge the squares with Wendi Vecchi Make Art Blendable Dye inks from Ranger.

Een stencil van Darkroom Door gebruikt (vergat ik te fotograferen) om de vierkantjes te sponzen met Ranger's Make Art Blendable Dye inkten van Wendy Vecchi.

I used small flower stamps from these sets.

Kleine bloemenstempels uit deze sets gebruikt.

Pencils were used to color the flowers.

De bloemetjes ingekleurd met potloden.

I added stamps from Darkroom Door's Global Postmarks set, and a texture stamp.

I love doing series on my blog.  I think I started a new one:  Faux Postage Stamps, really enjoy making them.  As it is Saturday, I did these also for my black & white series.

Werken in blogreeksen vind ik tof om te doen.  En ik denk dat ik een nieuwe gestart ben:  Faux Postage Stamps, ze zijn heel leuk om te maken.  Omdat het zaterdag is maakte ik deze ook meteen voor mijn zwart-wit reeks.

I used a stencil from Darkroom Door to draw the squares.  The World Map background stamp was used as a background on the faux postage stamps.  I stamped and sponged with black Archival ink.

Met behulp van een Darkroom Door stencil tekende ik de vierkanten.  De World Map achtergrondstempel werd als achtergrond gebruikt, logisch :)  Ik stempelde met zwarte Archival inkt, en gebruikte die ook om te sponzen.

Faux Postage Stamps - Birds

Making faux postages stamps is fun. 

Leuk om te maken, deze nep postzegels. 

I used this Darkroom Door stencil.  First I stamped a bird using black Archival ink.  Next I covered the birds with a mask (last picture) to sponge around them with Distress inks.  I also stamped the Mesh Texture stamp before removing the mask.

Een stencil van Darkroom Door gebruikt.  Eerst de vogeltjes gestempeld met zwarte Archival inkt.  Bedekt met een maskertje (laatste foto) om de achtergrond te sponzen en de texture stempel af te drukken.

After cutting the masks I saved the rest of the post-it notes, so I could use these to color the birds.  

I cut out the squares with decorative scissors. The euro symbol and numbers are old stamps, by Invoke Arts I think?

Nadat de maskertjes uitgeknipt waren bewaarde ik de rest van de post-its om de achtergrond te bedekken en zo de vogels in te kleuren.  Het euro symbool en cijfertjes zijn oude stempels, ik denk ven Invoke Arts?  Met een postzegelrandschaar te vierkantjes uitgeknipt.

Here are some faux postages stamps I made with a Fall theme.

For the images I used Wendy Vecchi's Make Art set Autumn Greetings.  Darkroom Door's Global Postmarks and Alphabet Medley stamp set were used to finish off the faux postage stamps.

I stamped and sponged with these Archival inks.

Faux postage on today's card.

Vandaag een kaart met "postzegels"

 I found this paper in my stash.  The color on this paper came from tissue paper, that I've put on top of the watercolor paper, sprayed with water and left to dry.  I've cut the paper into pieces and hope to make a card with them each day this week.

 Het papier vond ik in mijn voorraad.  De kleur is afkomstig van tissuepapier dat ik (lang geleden) over het aquarelpapier legde, nat maakte en dan liet drogen.  Ik heb het nu in stukken gesneden en hoop er deze week elke dag een kaartje mee te maken.

 I stamped Darkroom Door's Postal 6UP Frame Stamp with black Archival ink.  I've cut a mask out of a post-it note, and used it to sponge with Distress Inks.
Eerst de Postal 6UP Frame stempel van Darkroom Door afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt.  Uit een Post-it briefje maakte ik een maskertje om de vierkantjes te sponzen met Distress Inkten.

 The Dutch word die is by Els Brigé.
De woordstans is van Els Brigé.
