I love butterflies on Summer cards. So, when I found this stamped butterfly in my box of scraps, I wanted to use it on today's card.
Vlinders staan altijd leuk op zomerse kaartjes. Toen ik deze gestempelde vlinder in de restjesdoos vond, moest ie gewoon op de kaart van vandaag belanden.
The butterfly was stamped and heat embossed on watercolor paper, quite thick paper. I cut it out, using my favorite embroidery scissors and a craft knife.
De vlinder was al gestempeld en geëmbossed op vrij dik aquarelpapier. Met mijn favoriete borduurschaartje en een hobbymes uitgeknipt/gesneden.

ReplyDeleteDoor het knipwerk is het wel een supermooie vlinder geworden, mooi ook met de parels! Dat reepje opgestikt vilt maakt het af. Prachtig!

ReplyDeleteOH MY GOODNESS!! I kept looking at your pictures and reading your description, thinking that this was stampted on acetate, since I could see through it.....then it dawned on me.....Godelieve cut that out! Holy cow, that is detailed cutting! Beautifully done!

ReplyDeleteSame thing happened to me! Thought it was acetate, then you said paper, then I looked again. . .still couldn't figure it out. I read some comments and it came clear! What an amazing job cutting, Godelieve! And it's not just the butterfly. The whole card is just beautiful!
