I stamped the Florish Grids stamp twice, to get a complete circle.

Heat embossed with Ranger Seafoam White embossing powder on vellum. I cut out some parts of the vellum and attached the circle to a scalloped mat using brads. Black flower in the center is from Hero Arts.
Met Ranger Seafoam White geëmbossed op vellum. Stukjes van het patroon weggesneden, en de vellum cirkel met brads op een zwarte cirkel met schulprand bevestigd. Het zwarte bloemetje in het midden is van Hero Arts.

Darkroom Door - Family Recipes

I decorated the cover of this book with Darkroom Door stamps. I just love the combination of their From The Kitchen stamps with the Plaid Background stamp. I used Marvy LePlume II markers to ink the plaid background stamp with different colors.

I heat embossed the whisk with silver embossing powder, and used embroidery scissors to cut it out.

De linnen kaft van een notaboekje versierd met Darkroom Door stempels. De keukenstempels en de ruitjesachtergrond zijn voor elkaar gemaakt als je't mij vraagt :) Met Marvy LePlume II stiften in verschillende kleuren inkt aangebracht op de ruitjesstempel.
Kader, "Recipes" en garde zijn stempels uit de keuken stempelset. De letters zijn met mininietjes van Tim Holtz vastgezet.
De garde is in zilver geëmbossed en met een borduurschaartje uitgeknipt.

Alles is met boekbinderslijm vastgeplakt.

Apple & Cherries

The apple and cherries are stamped on smooth watercolor paper, colored with pencils and cut out. I will add a sentiment later, depends on the occasion I will use it for.

Appel en kersen zijn of glad aquarelpapier gestempeld, met potloden ingekleurd en uitgeknipt. Tekst zet ik er later bij als ik de kaart ga versturen.

Birthday card for a little one :)

I colored a piece of watercolor paper with Distress Ink #Crushed Olive, stamped the image on it. After embossing the dots in the Cuttlebug I sanded the surface. I flattened the dots where the image is, using an embossing stylus, so it would be easier to glue on the image later. The sheep and sentiment are stamped on smooth watercolor paper, colored with pencils and cut out. Plaid Background was stamped with Crushed Olive on the card, I added more color to the edges using the ink blending tool.

Een verjaardagskaart voor een kleintje. Een stuk cardstock gekleurd met Distress Inkt #Crushed Olive. Het schaapje erop gestempeld. Door de Cuttlebug gehaald, en de dotjes geschuurd. De dotjes weer platgedrukt met een embossingpen, waar later de uitgeknipte afdruk komt. Het is dan makkelijker om die op te plakken. Schaapje en ronde tekststempel op glad aquarelpapier gestempeld, met potloden ingekleurd en opgeplakt. Plaid Background op de kaart gestempeld met Crushed Olive, de randen bijgekleurd.

Sunday Scraps - 68

On these tags I used two tall, narrow paper scraps.
Deze labels zijn gemaakt van 2 lange smalle restjes papier.

I put one scrap on top of the other one, and cut a wavy line through both layers. So I had a matching edges. Stamped the dots background with Distress Ink #Vintage Photo and stitched the pieces together.
De 2 restjes papier op elkaar gelegd, en met een mesje door allebei de lagen gesneden. Zo had ik 2 gebogen randen die perfect tegen elkaar passen. Dotjes gestempeld met Distress Inkt #Vintage Photo, en de stukken aan elkaar gestikt.

Black & White - 15

Today I stamped, masked and sponged an envelope for my black & white series. It's my entry for Sarah's Mail Art challenge. I mixed lots of Darkroom Door stamps. The Dots background was stamped on scrap paper first, so it would not look too dark as a background.

Vandaag heb ik voor mijn zwart-wit reeks een envelop gestempeld, gemaskerd en gesponst. Het is mijn bijdrage voor Sarah's Mail Art challenge. Verschillende stempels van Darkroom Door gebruikt. De Dots achtergrond heb ik eerst een keer op een kladpapier gestempeld, zodat ie niet te donker zou worden als achtergrond.

From The Kitchen - card, bookmark & labels

This card has a detachable bookmark. It can be taken off, and used in a cook book.
Dit kaartje heeft een afneembare bladwijzer, die je achteraf in je kookboek kan gebruiken.

I love the Plaid Background stamp together with the From The Kitchen stamp set.

De Plaid Background en de From The Kitchen stempels gaan goed samen.

I used words from the Enjoy Life stamp set to create my own sentiment on the card.

Een tekststempel uit de Enjoy Life stempelset gebruikt om mijn eigen tekst te vormen.

I also stamped a bunch of labels. They all have a Plaid background.

Darkroom Door - Doorhanger

This doorhanger would be a perfect gift for my hubby :)
Deze deurhanger zou een perfect kadootje zijn voor mijn ventje :)

I used acrylic paint on the wooden doorhanger. Letters are from these Darkroom Door Alphastrips.
Het hout is met acrylverf geschilderd. De letters heb ik uit deze Darkroom Door Alphastrips geknipt.

I taped two Stampbord tiles together at the back, colored them with Distress Inks and stamped the From The Kitchen stamps with Memories Black. I scratched the surface with Tim Holtz Retractable Craft Scratcher.
De Stampbord tegeltjes heb ik aan de achterkant aan elkaar geplakt met tape, gekleurd met Distress Inkt. Stempels zijn uit de From The Kitchen set. Tim Holtz Retractable Craft Scratcher gebruikt om de witte lijntjes in het Stampbord te krassen.

I removed the tape from the back, inked the edges and used bookbinding glue to attach the tiles to the painted doorhanger.
De stukjes tape verwijderd, de randjes zwart gemaakt, en de tegeltjes met boekbinderslijm op het geschilderd hout geplakt.

Work in Progress - next step

Something I'm working on... I painted the wooden box with Eberhard Faber acrylic paint. I could remove the cubes inside the box, that made painting it a lot easier. I cut a sheet of BasicGrey paper to size to cover the bottom and put the cubes back in place. So far, so good.

Tussendoor, als ik even tijd heb, werk ik aan dit projectje. Het houten theekistje is met acrylverf van Eberhard Faber geschilderd. De vakjes kon ik uit het kistje nemen, dat maakte het schilderen heel wat makkelijker. Op de bodem een stuk op maat gesneden BasicGrey papier gelegd, en de vakjes teruggeplaatst.

Poppy

A quick and easy card. I stamped the leaves with Memories Black ink, and with Colorbox Fluid Chalk #Lime Pastel on top of the black stamping. Added the stamped script and the poppy. I colored the background with Distress Ink #Crushed Olive and Fired Brick.

Een snel en makkelijk kaartje. Het blad met Memories Black gestempeld, er overheen gestempeld met Colorbox Fluid Chalk #Lime Pastel. Gestempeld schrift, klaproos opgeplakt met Judikins Diamond Glaze. Achtergrond bijgekleurd met Distress Inkt #Crushed Olive en Fired Brick.

Veel vragen over de klaproos. Gewoon eentje van deze bloemen op de kaart geplakt, zoals ik al zei: snel en makkelijk :)

Sunday Scraps - 67

Sometimes when you use a new stamp for the first time, it doesn't stamp very well, as the photo below shows. So I cut off the bad parts, and ended up with a half orange slide and I took a "bite" of the strawberry, using a Spellbinders Nestabilities die. "Mmm..." is a stamp from Art Journey. The black and white strip is a leftover from yesterday's card. The green envelope was in my scraps box too, it had the left part cut off (don't remember when I did that *lol*)

Soms krijg je geen perfecte afdruk als je een nieuwe stempel voor 't eerst gebruikt, zoals je hierboven kan zien. De slechte stukken heb ik afgeknipt, de halve sinaasappel is nu een half schijfje geworden, en er is in de aardbei "gebeten" met een Spellbinders Nestabilities stans. Het zwart-witte strookje is een overschotje van gisteren. De groene envelop zat ook in de restjesdoos. De linkerkant was er afgeknipt, kan me niet herinneren waarvoor ik dat ooit gedaan heb *lol*
