Pomander

I love to make a pomander each Christmas.  I chose one of many patterns I found on Pinterest.
Een pomander maken, dat hoort er ook elk jaar bij met kerstmis.

Oranges and cloves, I love the scent.
Heerlijk, die geur van sinaasappel en kruidnagel.

Christmas Snowy Photo Cards

 A snowy photo from my archives was used on this nostalgic Christmas Card.

Een nostalgische kerstkaart met een foto uit mijn archief.

 I made some in kraft, some in blue.  I used an Art Journey stamp for the Dutch words.

Ik maakte ze in 2 kleuren.  Een tekststempel van Art Journey gebruikt.

Have Fun

 I'm working on my last batch of Christmas cards.  Meanwhile, here's a card I made with the Carved Birds from Darkroom Door. 

Ben aan een laatste reeks kerstkaarten bezig.  Maar tussendoor nog eens een kaartje met de Carved Birds van Darkroom Door.

 The background was done with Distress Ink and a stamping block.  I inked the block, sprayed water and pressed it onto the paper several times without reinking.  Then I stamped the Circles Background with Distress ink.

De achtergrond is gemaakt met een acrylblok en Distress inkt.  Water op de beïnkte blok verneveld, en enkele keren afgedrukt zonder opnieuw inkt te gebruiken.  Wel telkens terug water verneveld natuurlijk.  Daarna de Circles Background gestempeld met Distress inkt.

Winter Bird

I love this bird stamp by Stampendous.  It just had to go on one of my Christmas cards.

Stamped on a Lyra crayons background, colored in with pencils.

Dit vind ik zo'n leuke vogelstempel van Stampendous.  Moest echt op 1 van mijn kerstkaarten belanden.  Gestempeld op een achtergrond van Lyra krijtjes, en ingekleurd met potloden.

 This week's Black & White piece is a Christmas tag, made from chocolate packaging and dies.

Voor mijn zwart-wit reeks maakte ik deze week een kerstlabel.  Ik gebruikte de verpakking van chocolaatjes en enkele stansen.

This tag was stamped with Art Journey stamps and Archival ink.  I added a strip of Distress Ink paper at the bottom of the tag.

Altered Bread Board For Christmas

I used an old bread board to decorate for Christmas.

Een oud broodplankje versierd voor kerstmis.

The Christmas Word Block stamp by Darkroom Door was pressed into Fimo Light, an air drying modelling clay.  

De Christmas Word Block stempel van Darkroom Door in Fimo Light gedrukt.  Die kan drogen zonder oven. 

I painted the board with gesso and acrylic paint.  Sponged with Distress ink and stamped with Archival inks.

Het plankje geverfd met gesso en acrylverf.  Gesponsd met Distress inkt en met Archival inkt gestempeld.

I colored the clay with Distress Paint and Distress Stain. 

Na het drogen werd de klei gekleurd met Distress Paint en Distress Stain.

To do the background I stamped a row of Christmas trees with gesso and colored the paper with Distress Paint.

Op de achtergrond een rij kerstboompjes gestempeld met gesso, daarna het papier gekleurd met Distress Paint.

I added a cut out tree and words from Darkroom Door's Stitched Christmas set.

Een uitgeknipt kerstboompje en teksten uit de Stitched Christmas set van Darkroom Door erbij gebruikt.

Finished off with tape and bakers twine.

Kaartjes afgewerkt met tape en bakkerstouw.
