I stamped and heat embossed the inchies on Rein's background, punched a few flowers too.
De inchies zijn gestempeld en geëmbossed op een achtergrondje van Rein.

Sunday Scraps - 8

The strips on this card are colored with Distress ink, Ecoline and Brilliance refill, scraps from previous cards. I taped them together at the back. There was a red and a cream strip where you see the black ones, but they didn't take the black stamping very well, so I replaced them and stitched the piece on cream cardstock.
De strookjes papier zijn gekleurd met Distress inkt, ecoline en Brilliance uit een navulflesje, allemaal restjes van vroegere kaarten. Achterkant aan elkaar geplakt met plakband. Waar je nu een zwarte strook ziet zat eerst een rode en crèmekleurige strook papier, maar daar pakte de zwarte inkt niet goed op, dus heb ik ze vervangen. Het geheel op crèmekleurig papier gestikt.

Sorry I'm late...

... my life is a circus.

This card is about 4" x 5". I used red and white strips of paper to create a striped circus background for the birds. All stamps on this card, except the words are on sale now (30% off!) at Odd Bird Planet. Complete list is on Johanna's blog HERE. Available woodmounted or rubber only.
De afmetingen van deze kaart zijn ongeveer 10,5 x 12,5 cm. De gestreepte circusachtergrond is gemaakt met strookjes papier. Copper Butterflies & flowers

I've been wondering for a while if Talens Ecoline would work on grungeboard, so I had to give it a try.  Actually I used Shadowpaint here, which is the same as Ecoline.  
Ik vroeg me al een tijdje af of Talens Ecoline op grungeboard gebruikt kan worden, dat moest ik dus eens proberen.  Hier heb ik Shadowpaint gebruikt, maar dat is dezelfde inkt als Ecoline.

I used a circle cutter and sciccors to cut the grungeboard, distressed the edges with Tim Holtz paper distresser.  Highlighted with metallic rub-ons (copper).
Een circelsnijder en schaar gebruikt om het grungeboard te snijden.  Randjes bijgewerkt met Tim Holtz paper distresser.  Daarna wat metallic rob-ons accentjes aangebracht (koper).

The flowers are not stamped, I cut them from a decorative embossed sheet of heavy weight metallic cardstock (stash).  I stamped the butterflies on the back with Versamark, heat embossed them with copper embossing powder and cut them out.
 De bloemen zijn niet gestempeld, maar uit een decoratief vel geëmbossed metallic cardstock geknipt.  De vlinders zijn op de achterkant gestempeld met Versamark, koper geëmbossed en uitgeknipt.

I used stitching and brads to keep everything in place. And Diamond Glaze to attach the butterflies. 

Stiksels en splitpennen gebruikt om alles op zijn plaats te houden. Vlinders zijn met Diamond Glaze opgeplakt.

Art Journey- Thank you card

I used markers and a mini mister on the flower stamp.
Stempelstiften en mini mister gebruikt om de bloemen te stempelen.

Tim Holtz paper distresser was used on the edges.
Randjes rafelig gemaakt met de paper distresser van Tim Holtz.

Speckles are made with Yasutomo pearslescent watercolors and a brush. I also used this paint on the edges.
Spatjes gemaakt met Yasutomo pearlescent waterverf en een penseel, ook op de randjes gebruikt.

Sunday Scraps - 7

Just 1 card for my Sunday scraps today, but I made a few step by step pictures.
Vandaag maar 1 kaartje met restjes gemaakt, maar ik maakte tussendoor foto's.

I started with a piece of leftover watercolor paper, covered with gesso (from a gesso transfer project).
I begon met een restje aquarelpapier, bedekt met gesso (van een gesso transfer project).

I colored it with Chalk ink, direct to paper, you can see the brush strokes showing up. Heat set with my heatgun.
Gekleurd met Chalk inkt door het stempelkussen er over te wrijven. Je kan de penseelstreken nu goed zien. Met mijn heatgun de kleur gefixeerd.

I don't "plan" or sketch my cards. After sponging with Blue Iris Chalk ink, the lower edge looked really dark, because it had no gesso on it. So I thought it looked like water and sky. I distressed the edges. Stamped the little boat with gnomes twice on brown cardstock scraps, and once on white cardstock. Cut out and pieced it together. Stamped the cloud twice and trimmed one of them.
Ik plan of schets mijn kaartjes niet op voorhand. Toen het papier met Blue Iris Chalk inkt gesponst was, vond ik dat het er als water en lucht uitzag, de rand zonder gesso had veel meer inkt opgenomen. Met een papier distresser de randjes rafelig gemaakt. Bootje met kabouters 2x op bruin papier gestempeld, 1x op wit, uitgeknipt en de laagjes op elkaar geplakt. De wolk 2x gestempeld, eentje heb ik wat bijgeknipt.

A frugal tip, goes with the scraps : I cut the colored layer from my sponge to have a fresh one :)
Nog een zuinige tip die bij een restjeskaart past: het gekleurd laagje van het sponsje afgeknipt in plaats van weer een nieuw sponsje te nemen :)

Dymhie's 50 books project

Do you remember Dymphie's 50 books project she started in October? Can't believe she already finished 22. Amazing how many different shapes and techniques she showed. I always love the steps she shows.

Herinner je je nog het 50 boeken project van Dymphie? Ze begon in oktober, en ze heeft er al 22 klaar. Niet te geloven!! Ik wist niet dat er zoveel modellen en technieken bestonden. Leuk hoe ze vaak stap voor stap foto's laat zien.

Two cards I made for Art Journey. I used the "Summer girl" stamps and combined them with other Art Journey stamps. Distress Inks and Colorbox Chalk inks were used for the coloring and background.
Nog twee kaartjes die ik voor Art Journey maakte met het stempelsheet "Summer Girl" gecombineerd met andere Art Journey stempels. Distress inkt en Colorbox inkt gebruikt voor het inkleuren en voor de achtergrond.

A colorful set of cards I made for Art Journey using the inchies stamps, combined with previous Art Journey stamps.

I stamped on a Talens Ecoline background, heat embossed and made the flowers "twinkle".

I used Distress Ink to color a packaging (picture below). It was meant to use on a trash to treasure challenge on 2Peas, but I messed it up :) Today I rescued some parts of it
Distress Inkt gebruikt om een verpakking (foto hieronder) te kleuren. Was bedoeld voor een trash to treasure uitdaging op 2Peas, maar mislukt :) Vandaag de geschikte stukjes gebruikt.
