Coffee Time

Birthday card for a coffee lover.

Verjaardagskaartje voor een koffiekenner.

I stamped the cup of coffee using Archival Ink Acorn.  Next I masked the cup to stamp the Morrocan Tiles and Mesh background, and to sponge with Distress Inks.

De kop koffie met Archival inkt Acorn afgedrukt.  Bedekt met een maskertje om de Morrocan Tiles en Mesh achtergrond te stempelen.  Om te achtergrond te sponzen gebruikte ik Distress inkten.

Sentiment is from the Happy Birthday set.

Een tekststempel uit de Happy Birthday set erbij afgedrukt.

Get Well Card

Today's card is a get well card.

Vandaag maakte ik een beterschapskaartje.

I used the large stencil Checkered from Darkroom Door with Distress Oxide inks to create the background.

Met Distress inkten en de grote stencil Checkered van Darkroom Door maakte ik de ruitjesachtergrond.

The Envelope Note stamp was stamped with black Archival ink.  I made a mask to cover the envelope, so I could stamp the flowers and words on the card.

De Envelope Note stempel met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt.  Een masker gemaakt om de envelop te bedekken, zodat alleen de kaart bestempeld werd met bloemen en tekst.

The stamps from the Gathered Flowers set were inked with Distress Markers.  The envelope was cut out and glued onto the checkered card base.

De stempels uit de Gathered Flowers set beïnkt met Distress Markers.  De omslag uitgeknipt en op de geruite kaart gekleefd.

Darkroom Door Texture Stamp - Snow Flakes

A snow man on this Christmas card.

Een sneeuwman op deze kerstkaart.

I used the circle masks from the Three Circles stencil set, taped them together to form a snow man, and used these as a mask.  At the bottom of the card I used torn sticky notes to mask off the white card.

De rondjes uit de Three Circles stencil set aan elkaar geplakt om een sneeuwman te vormen.  Deze gebruikte ik als een masker.  Onderaan de kaart kleefde ik gescheurde post-its om de witte kaart te bedekken.

Next I inked the background around the masked snow man, using these Distress Oxide inks.

Daarna rondom de sneeuwman de achtergrond gekleurd met deze Distress Oxide inkten.

Leaving the masks in place I stamped the Snow Flakes texture stamp (a new one from Darkroom Door), using Distress Oxide ink Broken China.  I used non static powder before I stamped and heat embossed snow flakes.  I removed the masks one by one to add shading to the snow man and snow bank, using Distress Oxide Iced Spruce.

De maskertjes op hun plek laten liggen om de Snow Flakes texture stempel (een nieuwe van Darkroom Door) af te drukken met Distress Oxide Broken China.  Non-static poeder op de achtergrond aangebracht om de sneeuwvlokken met Versamark inkt te stempelen en met wit poeder te embossen.  Daarna de maskertjes één na één weggenomen om schaduw aan te brengen op de sneeuwman.  Dat deed ik met Distress Oxide Iced Spruce.  

I added the hat, eyes, arms, buttons using a Micron pen.  I did the carrot/nose with a Distress Marker.

De hoed, ogen, armen en knopen getekend met een Micron pen.  Voor de wortel/neus nam ik een Distress Marker.

Finished off with a saying from the Christmas Bush stamp set, stamped with black Archival ink.

Verder nog een tekst uit de Christmas Bush erbij afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt.

Another Christmas card I made.

The Envelope Note stamp is a new one from DarkroomDoor.  Love to use these frame stamps with a masking technique.

Darkroom Door released a bunch of great new stamps.  Here's a 1 layer card I made, using the Envelope Frame stamp with a masking technique.

Darkroom Door bracht weer nieuwe mooie stempels uit.  Deze kaart maakte ik met de Envelope Frame stempel en een maskertechnique.

I've used these Archival inks with masks I've cut to color the envelopes.

Met deze inkten kleurde ik de enveloppen.  Daarvoor maakte ik enkele maskers om de overige delen te bedekken.  

Sometimes I just love using a lot of stamps on a project.  Frame stamps are perfect to do so.

Af en toe wil ik een kaart maken met veel stempels.  Frame stempels lenen zich perfect daarvoor.

August 30 - Book

A stamped book on today's tag.

Een boek gestempeld op mijn label vandaag.

After stamping the Mini Open Book stamp wtih black Archival ink, I masked the image to sponge the background with Distress Inks.  I also used these Texture stamps with Forest Moss Distrss ink.

Eerst het Mini Open Book afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt, met een maskertje bedekt om de achtergrond te sponzen met Distress inkten.  De Texture stempels afgedrukt met Distress inkt Forest Moss.

The stamps from the Nature Walk set were inked with Ecoline Brush Pens.

De stempels uit de Nature Walk set werden met Ecoline Brush Pens beïnkt.

A saying form this set was stamped with black Archival ink.  

Een tekststempel uit de set afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt.

The pages looked too bright, so I inked the pages using a  detail blending tool with Distress Ink Antique Linen.

De bladzijden in het book leken een beetje te wit.  Met een detail blending tool bracht ik hier en daar wat Distress inkt Antique Linen aan.

Tags - Baby

I really love this small Checkered stencil from Darkroom Door.  Today I used the stencil on a set of baby tags.

Deze kleine Checkered stencil van Darkroom Door is een absolute favoriet.  Vandaag gebruikte ik 'em op een set baby labels.

Only 1 inkpad was used.  The Distress Marker was used to make the string from the balloon a bit longer.  I stamped and masked the images from the Hello Baby Vol 1 stamp set and the balloon.

Slechts 1 stempelinkt gebruikt.  Distress Marker in dezelfde kleur gebruikt om het touwtje wat langer te maken.  Ballon en stempels uit de Hello Baby Vol 1 set afgedrukt en met een maskertje bedekt.

I sponged through the stencil, moved the stencil a bit to sponge without using extra ink, hence the soft brown squares.

Door de stencil gesponst, daarna de stencil een beetje verschoven om de lichtere blokjes te sponzen, dat deed ik zonder extra inkt te gebruiken.

Black & White - 506

On this black & white card I covered the white folded card with a large torn post-it note to stamp the Daisy Delight background stamp.  Next I used the other part of the torn post-it note to cover the stamped flowers so I could stamp the Plaid background.  I also sponged the edge with black Archival ink.

Twee achtergrondstempels van Darkroom Door gebruikt op deze zwart-wit kaart.  Elke helft afzonderlijk bedekt met een groot gescheurd post-it plakbriefje om de bloemen en ruitjes te stempelen.  Ook een randje in het midden gesponst.

Words from the Beautiful Blooms set were stamped with black Archival ink and cut out with die from Elisabeth Craft Designs.  I rounded the corners of my card with the corner chomper from WeRMemoryMakers.

Sometimes I want to use a lot of stamps on a small project :)  The tag was cut with a die from  ElisabethCraftDesigns.  The tag topper, pencil and saying were glued on, for everything else I used the masking technique. 

Af en toe komen er veel stempels aan te pas om een klein projectje te voltooien :)  Om het label uit te stansen gebruikte ik snijmallen van ElisabethCraftDesigns.  Het deel bovenaan, het potlood en de tekst werden opgeplakt.  De rest werd gestempeld met de maskeertechniek.

A page in my large Dina Wakley Media Journal.  The background was sprayed with Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays.  I used Darkroom Door stencils with Archival ink Potting Soil.  I love the large stencil to fill a page.

Een pagina in mijn Dina Wakley Media Journal gemaakt.  Gloss Sprays gebruikt op de achtergrond.  De stencils van Darkroom Door gebruikte ik met Archival Inkt Potting Soil.  Een pagina is snel gevuld met zo'n grote stencil.

A lot of masking was needed to stamp the Glass Dome, nest and leaves.  I stamped with Archival Ink and Distress inks.  To watercolor the dome I used Distress Inks.

Om de glazen stolp, nest en blaadjes te stempelen kwam er aardig wat maskeren aan te pas.  Gestempeld met Archival inkt en Distress Inkten.  De stolp ingekleurd met Distress inkten en een penseel.

The Mini Open Book stamp is a new one by Darkroom Door.

Mini Open Book

A fun stamp to combine with lots of other stamps.  I stamped the book twice with black Archival ink, using a mask to cover the first image.  Next I stamped the Torn Text texure stamp using Shadow Grey Archival ink.  I decided to fill the book with insects and wildflowers.

Een leuke stempel om met andere stempels te combineren.  Ik stempelde met zwarte Archival inkt.  De eerste afdruk bedekt met een maskertje om nog een 2de boek te stempelen.  Daarna de Torn Text texture stempel met lichtgrijze Archival inkt afgedrukt op de pagina's.  Ik koos nu voor insecten en onkruid in de boeken.

To sponge around the books I covered them with masks.
