Fine Flower & Alcohol Ink Background #2

 After yesterday's cards, I made another one using a yupo paper background I found in my alcohol ink drawer.  The background was made with alcohol ink and alcohol lift ink (click) using a lace stamp from Darkroom Door.

Na de kaartjes van gisteren, maakte ik er nog eentje met een yupo papier achtergrond die ik in de alcohol ink lade vond.  Op de alcohol inkt achtergrond stempelde ik een kantstempel van Darkroom Door met alcohol lift ink (klik)

  

 The flower and words were stamped with Archival ink Potting Soil, and colored with Derwent pencils.

De bloem en tekst afgedrukt met Archival inkt Potting Soil, ingekleurd met Derwent potloden.

Fine Flowers & Alcohol Ink Backgrounds

 A while ago I made some alcohol ink backgrounds, today I used one of them to create these cards.

Een tijdje geleden maakte ik enkele achtergronden met alcohol inkt.  Vandaag nam ik er eentje van om deze kaarten te maken.

 The flowers and words were stamped onto cream cardstock using Archival Ink Potting Soil, and colored with pencils.

De bloemen en tekststempels werden met Archival inkt Potting Soil op crèmekleurig kaartkarton gestempeld en met potloden gekleurd.

 Recently I bought the Make Art mini STAY-tion, love the magnetic ruler to glue everything down straight.

Onlangs kocht ik de Make Art mini STAY-tion.  Handig, die magnetische lat erbij, om alles mooi recht op de kaart te plakken :)

 I glued the Yupo pieces onto blue paper, and used my Perfect Layers ruler to cut the blue paper, leaving a small border.

Het Yupo papier op lichtblauw papier geplakt, en mijn Perfect Layers latje gebruikt om het met een smal boordje op maat te snijden.

 The panels were glued onto a cream folded card, using my Make Art STAY-tion again.

Mijn Make Art STAY-tion weer gebruikt om het geheel om een crèmekleurige kaart te plakken.

Added some sequins for a finishing touch.

De kaarten verder afgewerkt met enkele sequins.

Darkroom Door - Carved Flowers Stencil #2

 Another card I made for Darkroom Door, using the new Small Carved Flowers Stencil.  On this card I combined the stencil with the coordinating stamp from the Fine Flowers Vol 1 set.

Nog een kaart, gemaakt voor Darkroom Door met de nieuwe Small Carved Flowers Stencil.  Bij deze kaart combineerde ik de stencil met de bijpassende stempel uit de Fine Flowers Vol 1 set.

First I made some alcohol ink backgrounds onto Ranger Yupo cardstock.  The same colors were used on all 4 pieces, but I applied them in a different way using the ink applicator felt.

Eerst maakte ik enkele achtergronden met alcoholinkten op Yupo cardstock van Ranger.  Dezelfde kleuren werden gebruikt voor alle achtergronden, maar ze werden verschillend aangebracht met de vilten applicator. 

To remove the alcohol inks through the stencil I used Alcohol Lift-Ink Refill on a mini ink blending tool with blending foam.  I stamped the coordinating flower with StazOn ink.

Before I glued the yupo onto a folded card I added strips of torn paper and vellum with words form the Simple Sayings Vol 2 set.

Om de alcoholinkt doorheen de stencil te verwijderen gebruikte ik enkele druppels uit het navulflesje Alcohol Lift-Ink op blending foam.  De bijpassende bloem werd met zwarte StazOn inkt gestempeld.

Vooraleer ik het yupo cardstock op een dubbelgevouwen kaart kleefde stikte ik onderaan enkele strookjes gescheurd papier en vellum vast, met daarop een wens uit de Simple Sayings Vol 2 stempelset.

Alcohol Ink Backgrounds

A few days ago I was playing with alcohol inks and yupo paper.  The same inks were used on all 4 pieces, but the result was very different.

I started with the striped one, just swiping from one side to the other.

Next I made the one at the bottom left, kept pouncing until I liked the result.

I added a few drops of the red ink to do the bottom right one.  I think it looks like flowers.

For the last one, at the top right, I added blue ink.  I pressed down and lifted the ink blending tool each time, no swiping or dabbing.

Een paar dagen geleden maakte ik deze achtergronden met alcoholinkt en yupo papier.  Dezelfde kleuren gebruikt voor allevier, maar met verschillend resultaat.

Ik begon met de gestreepte achtergrond, gewoon van de ene kant naar de andere gewreven.

Daarna onderaan links, de inkblending tool willekeurig op het papier gedrukt tot ik het mooi vond.

Daarna een paar druppels met een paar extra rode druppels inkt de achtergrond rechtsonder gemaakt.  Voor de laatste, bovenaan rechts nam ik nog enkele druppels blauwe inkt.  Ik drukte de inkblendingtool telkens in rijtjes op het papier zonder te wrijven, en bekwam dit patroon.

Sunday Scraps - 441

 As usual on Sundays, I made something using scraps and left over pieces from previous projects.

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik iets met restjes van vorige projecten.

 I've cut a frame/tag and glued it onto some Christmas (wrapping)paper.  A punched circle was used as a tag topper.  At the end of this blogpost is a link with more tag-toppers ideas.

Een lijstje in labelvorm gesneden en op kerstpapier geplakt.  Bovenaan het label afgewerkt met een geponst rondje.  Onderaan dit blogbericht staat een link naar meer ideetjes voor simpele tagtoppers.

Alcohol Lift Ink - Gift Box

 A little gift box I made.  I love this size.

Een kadodoosje gemaakt.  Dit vind ik een leuk formaat.

I used a sheet of Yupo paper that I made a while ago (CLICK)

 One side was decorated with dies.

Eén kant versierd met stansjes.

Leaves and a flower were cut with these dies.

Blaadjes en een bloemetje uitgesneden met deze stansen.

A name or message can be written on the tag.

Christmas 2018 - #2

 Yesterday I showed the heat embossed Yupo paper (heat embossed in the oven).  Here the Yupo paper is used on Christmas cards.

Gisteren toonde ik al het Yupo papier, dat ik in de oven gelegd had om te embossen.  Vandaag maakte ik er 2 kerstkaarten mee.

 The red bauble was heat embossed on watercolor paper, colored with Distress Paint.  I added a layer of Glossy Accents.

De rode kerstbal werd op glad aquarelpapier afgedrukt en met goud geëmbosst.  Ingekleurd met Distress Paint, na het drogen een laagje Glossy Accents aangebracht.

Heat Embossing on Yupo

I was wondering if it is possible to heat emboss on Yupo paper.  So I used one of the sheets I made a while ago with alcohol lift-ink to give it a go.

Ik was benieuwd of je Yupo papier kan embossen.  Dus nam ik één van de vellen die ik laatst maakte met alcohol lift-ink om een poging te wagen.

Although I was careful adding heat, the paper started warping.  But it worked well in the oven at 130°C.

Alhoewel ik heel voorzichtig was met de heattool, trok het yupo papier toch krom.  Dan maar in de oven gelegd op 130°.  Dat werkte prima.

 I played with the alcohol lift-ink.  I don't use my alcohol inks much, so I thought this would help :)

Een testje gedaan met de alcohol lift-ink.  Mijn alcoholinkten gebruik ik zelden, dus ik dacht dat dit misschien zou helpen :)

I think this one is my favorite.  Usually I like striped alcohol ink backgrounds best, but maybe not with this technique.

Dit is mijn favoriet denk ik.  Meestal vind ik gestreepte alcoholinkt achtergronden het mooist, maar misschien niet voor deze techniek.
