 A background from my stash was used on these mini cards.

 Een achtergrondje uit mijn voorraad gebruikt bij deze minikaartjes.

 Gesso was used with a stencil to add texture.  Colored with permanent ink.

The flower is a favorite stamp by Darkrom Door.

Textuur aangebracht met gesso en een stencil.

De bloemenstempel is een favoriet van Darkroom Door.

Sunday Scraps - 272

 While we were waiting for our son's new birds to start singing, I got the idea for this card :)
I inked the edges and lines of the bird stamps with a black Distress Marker, and stamped them on colored scraps.  The quote from Darkroom Door's Love Birds set was cut apart.

 Terwijl de vogels van zoonlief moesten wennen aan hun nieuwe thuis, hoopten we dat ze snel zouden gaan zingen, wat ze ondertussen volop doen.  Zo kreeg ik inspiratie voor dit kaartje :)
De omtrek en lijnen van de vogelstempels beïnkt met een zwarte Distress Marker, en afgedrukt op restjes gekleurd papier.  De tekst uit de Love Birds set in stukjes geknipt en herschikt.

Black & White - 197

For this week's black & white post, I decided to use one of the black gelli prints I made a while ago.

I stamped with Darkroom Door's French Script Texture stamp and Carved Flowers stamp.

Dutch words are justjohanna stamps (no longer available)

Voor mijn zwart-wit berichtje koos ik één van de zwarte gelli prints die ik een tijd geleden maakte.  Hieronder kan je ze allemaal samen zien.

Ik stempelde met de French Texture en Carved Flowers van Darkroom Door.

De tekststempels van justjohanna zijn niet meer te koop.

Hearts

 I applied a layer of gesso onto my paper first.  After it had dried I embossed the paper and colored it with Distress Paints.  

I stamped Darkroom Door's Mesh Background with Distress Paints too.  The stitches were stamped with Archival ink. 

The punched hearts are heat embossed with UTEE.

Papier ingesmeerd met gesso, na het drogen geëmbossed met een Cuttlebug embossingfolder.

Daarna gekleurd met Distress Paint.  De Mesh achtergrondstempel van Darkroom Door ook met Distress Paint afgedrukt, de stiksels met Archival inkt.

Hartjes geponst en van enkele lagen UTEE voorzien.

Het label afgewerkt met woordstickers en velours leder lint.

Java Finches - Rijstvogels

Inspired by our son's new birds :)

From One Card To Another #5

 The blue background on this card was made by cleaning my stencil after making yesterday's card.

De blauwe achtergrond maakte ik door mijn stencil op papier te reinigen, nadat ik gisteren mijn kaartje klaar had.

I've cut the caravan into a smaller shape, and added some doodling.

De caravan in een kleiner formaat geknipt, en een beetje gedoodled.

 I traced the lines and edges of this bird stamp with Distress Markers, so the bird would stay white.

 De krullen om omtrek van de vogel beïnkt met Distress Markers, zodat de vogel wit bleef.

 Then I masked the bird, and used a stencil to sponge the background.

I also stamped with Texture Stamps from Darkroom Door.

Een maskertje op de vogel gelegd en een stencil gebruikt om de achtergrond te sponzen.  Ook Texture stempels van Darkroom Door gebruikt.

I added some word stickers from Tim Holtz.

Woorden van Tim Holtz erbij gebruikt.

Sunday Scraps - 271

 Love to choose some scraps every Sunday morning, to create something.

Zoals elke zondag, weer wat restjes opgevist om iets mee te maken.

 The loop is adjustable by pulling the ends of the twine.

De lus bovenaan maak je zo klein als je wil door aan de eindjes te trekken.

 I heat embossed on an Ecoline background.  The flower was stamped on a Gelli print leftover.

Geëmbossed op een Ecoline achtergrond.  De bloem is afgedrukt op een restje van een Gelli print.

 The background on this card was made with Distress Paint and an embossing folder.

 Een achtergrond gemaakt met Distress Paints en een embossingfolder.

 The flower was also stamped with Distress Paint, and over stamped with black Archival ink.

De bloem ook eerst met Distress Paint afgedrukt, en er daarna met zwart Archival inkt overheen gestempeld.

 I cut out the stamped words.

De gestempelde tekst uitgeknipt.

Love the distressed look of stamping with paint.

Het effect van stempelen met Distress Paint vind ik wel leuk, niet te netjes.

From One Card To Another #4

After cutting square cards from A4 sheets, I used the leftover pieces to make these quick and easy cards.

I've switched the Hollyhock Stem from Memory Box and glued white cardstock inside the cards, folded to the front.

De kaartjes bleven over nadat ik vierkante kaarten gesneden had uit een A4 vel.  Goed voor een paar simpele kaartjes.  De bloem uitgestanst en in de andere kaart geplakt.  Wit papier binnenin de kaart geplakt, dat onderaan naar de voorkant gevouwen werd.

Bister Tag

 I've been playing with bister again.  I think I *need* more colors, because it is really fun stuff to work with.

Weer een bister gebruikt op dit label.  Ik heb denk ik nog meer kleuren *nodig* want het is leuk spul om mee te werken.

First I heat embossed the Circles Background stamp from Darkroom Door with white embossing powder.  I used red and brown bister.

Eerst de Circles achtergrondstempel van Darkroom Door met wit geëmbossed.  Rode en bruine bister gebruikt.

Another Flower Card

 A simple gelli print from my stash was used on this card.  I stamped with Archival ink #Potting Soil.  Stamped the flowers on colored scraps and cut them out.

Een eenvoudige gelli print uit mijn voorraad gevist en er met Archival inkt #Potting Soil op gestempeld.  De bloemen nog eens op gekleurde restjes papier gestempeld om uit te knippen.

Cherry Time

 A thank you card, with lots of cherries.

Een heleboel kersen op deze dankkaart.

 I stamped the cherries, a Different Colors stamp, with black Archival ink.

De kersenstempel van Different Colors afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt.

 I used Neocolors on the cherries.  My watercoloring is not too precise.

After watercoloring the cherries I stamped Darkroom Door's Plaid Texture stamp with Archival Ink #Cornflower Blue and the French Script Texture with Watering Can, a nice grey ink.

The card was finished off with a Sizzix bookplate and black twine.

Niet te nauwkeurig gewerkt bij het inkleuren van de kersen.  Ik gebruikte daarvoor Neocolors.

Daarna de achtergrond gestempeld met Darkroom Door's Plaid Texture en French Script Texture stempel.  Afgedrukt met Archival inkt in de kleuren Cornflower Blue en Watering Can.

De kaart verder afgewerkt met een uitgestanste bookplate van Sizzix en een zwart touwtje.
