Clock - Silent Night

Tim's clock has just the right size to use on a cd.

I printed Silent Night sheet music (freebie found via Pinterest.com), and glued it onto a cd using bookbinding glue.  Inked the edges with Distress Ink #Vintage Photo.

Holly punch and peppercorns are used to add a festive touch for the holidays.

Sunday Scraps - 146

 As usual on Sundays, I'm using scraps from previous projects.  Today I made a booklet.  I made a black & white one last year: click

Zoals elke zondag, weer wat restjes opgebruikt.  Vandaag werd het een boekje. Vorig jaar maakte ik er zo eentje in zwart-wit:  klik

 I wanted to use the leftover pieces from the napkins I used on this altered bread board.

Ik wou deze overgebleven stukjes gebruiken van de servetjes die ik op dit broodplankje gebruikte.

 I used double sided sticky foil (aslan) to attach the napkins to white cardstock.  I cut a tag, as a cover for the booklet.  Pages are cut from colorful cardstock.

De servetten met dubbelzijdige plakfolie (aslan) op wit kaartkarton geplakt, en er een tag uit gestanst.  Dubbelgeplooid wordt dit het kaftje.  Pagina's gesneden uit allerlei gekleurd kaartkarton.

 I glued each folded page on top of the previous one.

De dubbelgevouwen pagina telkens gewoon op de vorige geplakt.

More bookplates for future use.

Deze bookplates komen later nog wel van pas.

Another Christmas card to add to my black & white series.

Christmas - Altered Bread Board

I turned an old bread board, into a Christmas decoration.

Een oud broodplankje gebruikt voor deze kerstdecoratie.

Tim Holtz Ornate Plate.

I started with this well used bread board, painted it lightly with Viva Paint.  It gives a nice sheen.

Een goed gebruikt broodplankje, lichtjes geverfd met Viva Paint.  Zorgt voor een mooie glans.

1 -  A layer of Golden gel medium and torn paper napkins.

2 - Gesso on top of the napkins

3 - Distress Crackle paint here and there

4 - Sponged the surface with Distress Ink #Gathered Twigs.

I applied a bit of gold acrylic paint to the edges and brushed lightly some paint to highlight the textures. I stamped with Ranger Archival Ink #Coffee.  Stamps are from Darkroom Door.

Afgewerkt met een beetje gouden acrylverf op de randen, en accentjes die het reliëf benadrukken.  Gestempeld met Ranger Archival inkt #Coffee.  Stempels van Darkroom Door.

Warm candlelight colors.

Warme kleuren door het kaarslicht.

Tealights in a recycled glass yoghurt jar.  Decorated with feathers, ribbon and the shrink plastic angels I stamped a few weeks ago.

Theelichtjes in gerecycleerde glazen yoghurtpotjes.  Versierd met veertjes, lint en de engeltjes op krimpfolie, die ik een paar weken geleden stempelde.

I often use the speckles from this set as blossoms or flowers, as I did on this tag.

A quick & easy tag.

I started with the Roses photo stamp from Darkroom Door. A tag stamp on top of it, and finished off with Wordstrips and a Montage image, all by Darkroom Door.

Sunday Scraps - 145

As usual on Sundays, I used scraps from previous projects to make some cards.

Zoals elke zondag, een paar kaartjes gemaakt met restjes.

I wanted to use the hearts, after cutting up a stamped flower. Leftover acetate, cardstock and paper towel.

De hartjes die ik over had nadat ik een bloem in stukjes knipte, wou ik vandaag gebruiken. Verder nog restjes acetaat, karton en keukenpapier.

Black & White - 79

 On today's black & white card I embossed a piece of acetate in the Cuttlebug.

Inside is a small folded card.

To cover the tape, I added black cardstock to the back of the card.

 Vandaag een acetaat kaartje voor mijn zwart-wit reeks.  Het acetaat door de Cuttlebug gedraaid.  Binnenin een dubbelgevouwen kaartje geplakt.  Om de tape te bedekken is aan de achterkant een stukje zwart kaartkarton geplakt.

X-Mas Tealights

Last Spring I bought a flower arrangment with tulips (I included a picture at the end of this blogpost) and I thought it would look great with tealights inside the jars for Christmas.

In het voorjaar kocht ik een bloemstukje met tulpen (een foto zie je onderaan dit bericht) en ik dacht dat het wel een leuk effect zou geven met theelichtjes voor kerstmis.

So, I stamped a couple of Darkroom Door tags, and used several Christmas stamp sets to decorate them.

I love this tiny reindeer, it's part of the Christmas Sentiments set.

Dus stempelde ik een paar Darkroom Door tags, en combineerde er stempels uit verschillende kerst sets op.

Dit mini rendier vind ik leuk op tags. Het hoort bij de Christmas Sentiments set.
