Butterfly card

SPS card for a Yahoo group I'm in. It also meets the Crazy Amigos challenge : Stitches.
SPS kaartje voor 1 van mijn Yahoo groepen. Meteen mijn bijdrage voor het steken thema bij de Crazy Amigos.

I stamped on a Distress Ink background, heat embossed. Machine stitching on the green felt. The quote is a stamp from De Creatie, I cut it up and replaced some of the words by a bigger version after going through my stamps :)

Gestempeld op een Distress inkt achtergrond, kleurloos geëmbossed. Het groene vilt is vastgestikt. De tekststempel is van De Creatie, in stukjes geknipt en sommige woorden door een groter exemplaar vervangen, leuk om nog eens tussen al mijn oudere stempels te rommelen :)

Art Journey dagen

4 Workshops we did at Art Journey last Saturday, put together in a book. It was fabulous, very well organized by Louise and her team. Louise also presented the new Art Journey stamps. Art Journey - Blog Hop

Louise from Art Journey presented two new plates and a single stamp from their own line, designed by Sija.

I made this triptych, each panel is ATC size. It's a mix of old (left panel) and new (middle and right panel) stamps. I used Distress inks for stamping and distressing. The stamped butterfly and punched heart are covered with a thick UTEE layer. I used Distress Stickles #Rock Candy on the lady's wings.

Next stop is our super talented Jo Capper-Sandon.

Ik heb dit drieluik gemaakt, elk paneel heeft de grootte van een ATC. Het is een mix van oude (links) en nieuwe (midden en rechts) stempels. Ik gebruikte distress inkt om te stempelen en distressen. De gestempelde vlinder en geponst hart zitten onder een dikke laag UTEE. Op de vleugels van de dame heb ik Distress Stickles #Rock Candy aangebracht.

Op de volgende halte kan je het supertalent van Jo Capper-Sandon bewonderen.

Sunday Scraps - 54

Two trial and error hearts from my book of hearts... I started my harmonica book with the heart at the left, but then I decided that I didn't want to hand stitch the hole book. On the heart at the right I forgot to attach the ribbon while I was stitching the edges. So I finished both hearts today as my Sunday Scraps :)
Al doende leert men... Een paar dagen geleden begon ik mijn hartenboekje met het linker hart op deze foto. Maar ik veranderde van idee, ik wou niet alle randen op deze manier doen. Bij het rechter hart vergat ik het lint mee te stikken. Dus heb ik ze vandaag allebei afgewerkt als Sunday Scraps post :)

Happy Valentine's Day

As soon as I saw this Floral Background stamp I wanted to know how it would look when stamped on vellum and heat embossed with white.... so I made this Valentine's frame.
I used an old picture frame, sanded and distressed it with gesso, and replaced the picture by the stamped "lace" piece and red cardstock. Words and little red heart are from the All Occasions set by Darkroom Door. Red Prima flowers, pearls and chocolate candy to finsih it off.

Meteen toen ik deze Floral Background stempel zag, wilde ik weten of ik er vellum "kant" mee zou kunnen maken... dat lukte! Dus deze lijst voor Valentijn gemaakt. Een oude fotolijst geschuurd en met gesso een verweerd uiterlijk gegeven. De foto vervangen door rood kaartkarton met het vellum kant. Tekst en hartje zijn stempels uit de All Occasions set van Darkroom Door. Afgewerkt met rode Prima bloemetjes, parels en een Chokotoff.

Another black & white card. I stamped with Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink #Charcoal on glossy photo paper. The cat is cut out and attached with 3D foamtape.

Darkroom Door - Roses

Some cards I made with the Roses photo stamp from Darkroom Door. On the first card I stamped the roses on a vibrant green ecoline background and softened it using a white pencil. After distressing the edges I layered it on vellum and on green cardstock. Words from the Full Bloom Wordstrip.

Enkele kaartjes gemaakt met de Roses fotostempel van Darkroom Door. Bij de eerste kaart heb ik op een felgroene ecoline achtergrond gestempeld, en de rozen met een wit potlood ingekleurd. De randjes rafelig gemaakt, daarna op een laag vellum en groen kaartkarton geplakt. Tekst uit de Full Bloom Wordstrip.

Beep Beep Hurray - Biep biep hoera

Two super bright robot cards. I used metal tape on cardstock again, embossed in the Cuttlebug.

Twee felgroene robotkaarten. Weer metaaltape op cardstock geplakt en door de Cuttlebug gehaald.

I used the speech balloon stamps from Darkroom Doors' Robot Vol 1 set, and stamped with the small letters from the Alphabet Medley set.

De kleine letters van Darkroom Doors' Alphabet Medley set gebruikt om in de tekstballonnen te stempelen. Die tekstballonnen horen bij de Robot Vol 1 set.

I punched holes in some of the stamped dots and rounded the corners.
Enkele gaatjes geponst in de gestempelde dots, en de hoeken van de kaarten afgerond.

Book of Hearts

In my head I started this book several months ago. It's not finished yet. I want to add some photos and maybe more embellishments. I lined the wooden box with stamped papers, stamps are from Darkroom Door (Floral and Dots).
I will list and link up the stamps I used below each photo for those of you who want to know.
I used my triangle template (click), and cut it into a heart shape.

Een hartenboekje dat ik al heel lang wilde maken. Het is nog niet helemaal klaar. Ik wil nog wat foto's inplakken en het misschien nog iets meer decoreren. Het papier in het kistje is bestempeld met Darkroom Door stempels (Floral en Dots).
Ik zal onder elke foto de stempels opnoemen en linken als het kan. Patroon van een driehoek gebruikt (klik), en in hartvorm geknipt.

Art Journey - Sneak Peek - hot wire cutter

Two more sneak peeks on the new Art Journey stamps, to be revealed this weekend. On Monday you can see them on Art Journey's website, and new cards on Art Journey's design-team blog.

Nog een paar sneak peeks, de nieuwe Art Journey stempels worden dit weekend voorgesteld tijdens de Art Journey dagen. Vanaf maandag zijn ze op de website van Art Journey te zien, en kaartjes met de stempels op de Art Journey Design-team blog.

Meanwhile I'm putting the stamps on EZmount, to store them in cd cases. Works better for me than keeping them in a binder.
Ondertussen ben ik al de vorige stempels op EZ mount aan't plakken, om ze in cd doosjes te bewaren. Werkt makkelijker voor mij dan in een bewaarmap.

I'm using a hot wire polystyreen cutter, to cut around the rubber. Scissors get really sticky when the rubber was already cut out. I try to avoid the fumes.

Om rond het rubber te snijden vind ik zo'n styrofoam snijder wel makkelijk. Een schaar wordt snel plakkerig als het rubber al uitgeknipt was. Ik probeer de dampen te vermijden, ze lijken me niet gezond.
