A black & white card, made with the "Friends2" stamp set from Art Journey. Below are step by step photos. You can click each photo to enlarge for better view.
Een zwart-witte kaart, gemaakt met de "Friends2" stempelset van Art Journey. Hieronder zie je foto's die ik nam terwijl ik de kaart maakte. Je kan elke kleine foto vergroten door ze aan te klikken.

Stamp the boys on the card and on a post-it note (mask).
Stempel de jongens op de kaart en op een post-it (masker).

Put the post-it mask in place and use a piece of paper or acetate on top of the mask. Sponge around the acetate.
Leg het maskertje op zijn plaats en leg er een stuk papier of acetaat overheen. Spons rondom.

Remove the acetate and stamp the background. Peel off the mask and finish the card.
Verwijder het stuk papier of acetaat en stempel de achtergrond. Verwijder het masker en werk de kaart verder af.

After stamping this framed stamp with Memories Black, I masked the kids to color the background with Distress Ink. I cut another mask to sponge along the lines.
I used the Bind-it-All to punch the holes.

Eerst gestempeld met Memories Black, en de kids gemaskerd om de achtergrond te kleuren met Distress inkt. Nog een ander masker geknipt om langs de lijnen te sponzen.
Gaatjes geponst met de Bind-it-All.

Sponged with these Distress Inks.

A button without holes, I used Judikins Diamond Glaze to glue it onto the flower.
Een knoop zonder gaatjes, met Judikins Diamond Glaze op de bloem geplakt.

Art Journey - Blossom Thank You

The blossom stamp is heat embossed, and colored with water-soluble crayons.
De bloesem is met Versafine Onyx Black inkt gestempeld en kleurloos geëmbossed. Met wateroplosbare krijtjes ingekleurd.

I stamped the border on vellum with Versamark, heat embossed with Ranger Seafoam White. Cut out with embroidery scissors.

Randje is op vellum gestempeld met Versamark, en met Ranger Seafoam White geëmbossed. Het knippen was een geduldwerkje :)

Art Journey - Pear

Stamping, masking and sponging...
Stempelen, maskeren en sponzen...

This stamp (from Art Journey's "Umbrella Girl" sheet) is great in combination with Spellbinders Nestabilities Label One. I used a stamp positioner to do the frame.
Deze stempel (van Art Journey's "Umbrella Girl" sheet) kan heel goed gecombineerd worden met de Label One van Spellbinders Nestabilities. Ik heb een stempelliniaal gebruikt om er een kadertje mee te stempelen.

-Distress Inks I used: Vintage Photo, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, Aged Mahogany.

-Memories Black

Darkroom Door - Robot Photochips

Here's a set I made with Darkroom Door's Robot Photochips, Filmstrips and Wordstrips. Rachel posted the description in English on Darkroom Door blog here.

Een robot-burosetje, gemaakt met de Photochips, Filmstrips en Wordstrips van Darkroom Door. Een stevig potloodbakje gemaakt met vierkante stukken cardboard. De binnenkant beplakt met metaaltape, en rondom robot photochips opgeplakt. De randen zijn met een stift zwart gemaakt.

Een stukje kaartkarton met metaaltape beplakt en door de Cuttlebug gehaald. Een strook robot filmstrip er op aangebracht, en met mini-nietjes (Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher) vastgezet.

Splitpennen van Rayher gebruikt, ze lijken op spijkers.

Het notablokje heeft een zelfklevende kaft. Makkelijk om met aluminiumfolie en nog een fotochip af te werken. Jen Compen had zulke blokjes te koop op de Art Specially stempelbeurs in Zeist.

Allerlei supercoole woorden uit de Wordstrips gekozen om de set te decoreren.

Art Journey - Dream Big

I really love this boys stamp by Art Journey, it's on their Friends2 sheet. I stamped the boys on smooth watercolor paper, cut it out and glued the image onto one of my beach photos. It can be used on a sport background too, I can imagine the boys watching races, a soccer game (color the shirts in the club's colors), ... or a concert. Endless possibilities!

Deze jongensstempel van Art Journey vind ik echt schitterend!! Hij staat op het Friends2 sheet. De jongens heb ik gestempeld op glad aquarelpapier, uitgeknipt en op één van mijn strandfoto's geplakt. Een andere foto had ook gekund, ik kan me voorstellen dat ze een voetbalwedstrijd of zo bekijken (kleur de shirts in de kleuren van de club), ... of een concert. Eindeloos veel mogelijkheden!

I used the tulip from the Full Bloom collection. The words are from the Art de Fleur Vol 2 stamp set. I masked parts of the stamp with tape before I inked it.

Ik gebruikte de tulp uit de Full Bloom collectie. De tekststempel is van de Art de Fleur Vol 2 stempelset. Ik heb hem telkens gedeeltelijk beïnkt, door stukjes met plakband te bedekken.

De cijfers zijn in 2 kleuren Colorbox Chalk inkt gestempeld op de Plaid Background.

Voor de afwerking een paar bloemetjes uit Darkroom Door's montage Art De Fleur gebruikt, en een bijpassend lint.

Geen probleem als het niet lukt om een foto van je scherm te maken, waar ik het gisteren al over had. Er komt na het weekend nog iets anders om mee te doen :)

Ugly Background Rescue - part 6

All week I've been posting cards, using a sheet of watercolored paper that I was not happy about. Today's card is distressed with Distress Ink #Vintage Photo, the collage stamp from Elusive Images is heat embossed, and I bleached the butterfly and poppies.
Amazing how many cards you can make with one ugly A4 sheet of paper :)
De hele week heb ik kaartjes gepost, gemaakt met een vel ecolinepapier waar ik niet tevreden over was. Vandaag is de achtergrond bijgekleurd met Distress Inkt #Vintage Photo. De collagestempel van Elusive Images is geëmbossed, bleek gebruikt om de vlinder en papavers te ontkleuren.
Verbazend, hoeveel kaartjes je met zo'n mislukt A4 vel kan maken :)

I moved my counter temporary to the top of my sidebar at the left, because it's going to show 1 million hits soon. I would never have imagined this when I started my blog about 4 years ago. More about that after the weekend!

Meanwhile, if you happen to see the counter jump to 1,000,000 or close to 1 million, be sure to take a screenshot like this, including the counter, clock, blogheader and post of the day. You can turn the mouse wheel while holding the Ctrl key to resize if necessary and take the photo using the "prt sc" key.

Save the photo until next week, and stay tuned ....

Ik heb mijn teller tijdelijk bovenaan de linker kantlijn geplaatst, omdat hij binnenkort de 1.000.000ste hit gaat tonen (volgende week ergens?) Had ik nooit durven dromen toen ik ongeveer 4 jaar geleden met bloggen begon. Meer daarover na het weekend!

Mocht je ondertussen de teller op 1 miljoen zien springen, of dicht erbij, maak dan alvast zo'n foto van het scherm, inclusief de teller, klok, blogbanner en blogpost. Indien nodig kan je het muiswieltje draaien terwijl je de Ctrl toets indrukt om een kleiner/groter beeld te krijgen vooraleer je de foto maakt met de "prt sc" toets.

Bewaar de foto tot volgende week voor het vervolg....

Ugly Background Rescue - part 5

Another attempt to use some of the background paper ...
The theme at Inkurable Arches is "Hats". So I could used one of my favorite Art Journey stamps.
Nog een poging om wat van het niet geslaagde ecolinepapier te redden... Bij Inkurable Arches is het thema "hoeden", een mooie gelegenheid om nog eens 1 van mijn favoriete Art Journey stempels te gebruiken.

I used a stamp positioner to avoid stamping the face on a dark spot.
Een stempelliniaal gebruikt om een geschikte plek te bepalen voor de stempel.

The light meter stamp is from Darkroom Door's Photography set.
De lichtmeter is een stempel uit de fotografieset van Darkroom Door.

I had to add a small strip to make this arch the same size as the previous arches I made. So I cut off a strip below and stitched another piece of cardstock inbetween.
Om dezelfde afmeting te hebben als de vorige bogen die ik maakte, moest hij een beetje hoger worden: Onderaan doorgesneden en er een strookje bijpassend kaartkarton tussen gestikt.
