Time to use some good old favorite stamps again. Love this angel from Hero Arts.

Alcohol Ink background on glossy cardstock.

Nog eens een paar gouwe ouwe stempels tevoorschijn gehaald, het leuke engeltje is van Hero Arts. Achtergrond is gemaakt met alcohol inkt op glanzend kaartkarton.

The angel is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, heat embossed and colored with twinkling H2Os.

De engel is gestempeld met Versafine Onyx Black, en geëmbossed met kleurloos poeder.

Block Background - Twinkle

I wanted to try block background stamping on this card. The background is made with Distress Inks on an acrylic block. Jennifer McGuire shows it in this video. To get straight edges I have to use less water in future. I stamped the trees and words with Memento #Rich Cocoa and the stars with Distress Ink #Crushed Olive.

Blokstempelen geprobeerd op deze kaart. De achtergrond is gemaakt met Distress Inkt en een acrylblok, zoals Jennifer McGuire toont in deze video. Om rechte kantjes te krijgen moet ik voortaan wat minder water gebruiken. Bomen en tekst zijn gestempeld met Memento #Rich Cocoa, de sterren met Distress Inkt #Crushed Olive.

Building a Christmas Village

The second house for my Christmas Village is finished.

It's my entry for the Houses theme at Crazy Amigos.

Het tweede huisje voor mijn kerstdorpje is klaar.

Meteen mijn bijdrage voor het thema Huizen bij de Crazy Amigos.

Darkroom Door house, stamped with India Ink Black on smooth watercolor paper.

I used the crayon resist technique with Distress Ink again.

Darkroom Door huisje, met India Ink Black op glad aquarelpapier gestempeld. Het vetkrijtje zorgt er weer voor dat de raampjes wit blijven bij het sponzen met Distress inkt.

The roof is cut from corrugated cardboard, sponged with Distress Ink.

Een dakje van golfkarton, gesponst met Distress inkt.

So far my "village" has 2 houses :)

Christmas Tealights

A set of Christmas tealights I made.

Een setje kerst-theelichtjes gemaakt.

I colored a piece of tissue paper with Distress Ink, and stamped the snowflakes with India Ink Black. I took the tealights apart, removed the candle-wicks. Cut candle-size circles from the paper.

Een stukje tissue papier gekleurd met Distress inkt, en de sneeuwkristallen met India Ink Black gestempeld. De theelichtjes uit elkaar genomen. Het was makkelijk om de pit eruit te halen bij deze theelichtjes. Soms zitten ze vast. Rondjes ter grootte van de kaarsjes uit het papier geknipt.

I used a heat tool to attach the paper to the candle. It's handy to use skewers, a piece of tape below the candle stops it from sliding down.

Met de heat tool het papier vastgesmolten aan de kaars. Om mijn vingers niet te verbranden heb ik satéstokjes gebruikt. Een stukje plakband belet dat de kaars naar beneden glijdt.

De driehoekjes bovenaan deze labels zijn overschotjes van een huisje dat ik deze week maakte: klik.

I stamped on a piece of cardstock that had Glimmer Mist on it from another project. I stamped with Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy and inked the edges with Bundled Sage to match the green Glimmer Mist.

Met Distress Ink #Brushed Corduroy gestempeld op een stuk kaartkarton, er zat nog Glimmer Mist op van een vorig project. De randen met Distress Inkt #Bundled Sage gesponst, zodat het bij de Glimmer Mist past.

I stitched the pieces together and glued them onto the brown cardstock. After cutting it out, I finished it off with twine and a button, and added the words.

De delen samengestikt en op bruin kaartkarton geplakt. Uitgeknipt en met een touwtje, knoop en tekststempel afgewerkt.

Black & White - 35

A 4" x 4" card for my black & white series.

I stamped the birdcage on white cardstock and cut off the bottom part. Glued onto an embossed background.

Een vierkant kaartje van 10 cm voor mijn zwart-wit reeks. Het vogelkooitje is op wit kaartkarton gestempeld, het onderste deel heb ik afgeknipt. De achtergrond is geëmbossed in de Cuttlebug.

This is one of those cards that look better in real life than on a photo.

Dit is zo'n kaart die er in het echt beter uit ziet dan op een foto.

I used new Art Journey stamps for the tree and words.  Stamped with Versamark ink, gold embossed.

De kerstboom en tekststempel zijn nieuw van Art Journey.  Ik heb ze met Versamark gestempeld, en goud geëmbossed.

Home Sweet Home

I've had this idea in my head for a while now, but it seems I have more ideas than time :)

Dit idee zit al een hele tijd in mijn hoofd, maar blijkbaar heb ik meer ideeën dan tijd :)

I stamped a house from Darkroom Door's Home Sweet Home set 4 times on smooth watercolor paper and cut them out. I used a white crayon on the windows and a few strokes on the walls, to keep them white later.

Een huisje van Darkroom Door's Home Sweet Home set 4 keer afgedrukt op glad aquarelpapier. Uitgeknipt. Met een wit waskrijtje de raampjes gekleurd en een paar streepjes op de muren gezet, zodat die straks wit blijven.

Sponged with Distress Ink #Pumice Stone.

Gesponst met Distress Inkt #Pumice Stone.

I added more color with Distress Ink #Brushed Corduroy.

Nog meer kleur aangebracht met Distress Inkt #Brushed Corduroy.

I noticed that these two colors match very well with Darkroom Door Wilderness Photochips.

De kleuren blijken perfect te passen bij de Wilderness Photohips van Darkroom Door.

That could be fun ... maybe an idea for my Holidays blog banner..... I'm a bit carried away already :) Forgot to mention that I cut a rectangular piece of watercolor paper for the roof. Colored with Distress Inks too.

Dat schept mogelijkheden... misschien een idee voor mijn blogbanner tijdens de feestdagen... Mijn fantasie slaat al op hol :) Ik vergeet bijna te vermelden dat het dakje gemaakt is met een rechthoekig stukje aquarelpapier, ook gekleurd met Distress Inkt.

I painted it with Eberhard Faber Twin Color.  Don't know yet what the next step is going to be...

Art Journey - Candle

The Cherub is a new Holidays stamp by Art Journey. I stamped it on tissue paper and used a heat tool to attach it to the candle.

Het cherubijntje is een nieuwe kerststempel van Art Journey. Ik heb het op tissuepapier afgedrukt en een heat tool gebruikt om het op de kaars te bevestigen.

I used pins to attach the ribbon.

Het lint is met spelden vastgeprikt.

I used my Nesties to cut the scaloped circle from golden cardstock, to protect my 35 years old coasters :)

Een cirkel met schulprand uit gouden kaartkarton gestanst, om mijn 35 jaar oude onderzetters te beschermen :)
