I wanted to try a photo of my Holiday blog banner on Christmas cards. I combined it with bookplate from Tim Holtz Alterations die "Tag & Bookplates"

I stamped on the bookplate and covered it with several layers of clear embossing.

Op de bookplate gestempeld, en met verschillende laagjes embossing bedekt.

The Noel stamp set from Darkroom Door has 4 gorgeous photo corner stamps. I used one of them to stamp a scalloped border.

I used an acrylic block and Distress Inks to stamp a background. Stamped the lace and vine, and added beads from my stash.

Sunday Scraps - 97

It's another tag today. My plan is to use it as a cover for a little photo album, with a page for each month of the new year.

This Tim Holtz Alterations Die "Tag & Bookplates" is probably my most used die at this moment. The tag is cut from packaging, the bookplate is from the same packaging, but it shows the other side. Some corrugated cardboard from my box of scraps too. I used a bit of gesso and stamped with India Ink Black and Distress Ink #Aged Mahogany.

Weer een label vandaag. Ik ben van plan om het als kaft te gebruiken voor een mini fotoalbum, met een pagina voor elke maand van volgend jaar.

Deze Tim Holtz Alterations Die "Tag & Bookplates" is mijn meest gebruikte stans de laatste tijd. Het label is uit verpakking gestanst, de bookplate ook maar daar heb ik de andere kant als voorkant gebruikt. Golfkarton uit de restjesdoos. Gesso gebruikt, en gestempeld met India Ink Black en Distress Inkt #Aged Mahogany.

Blog Banner for the Holidays

A while ago I started making some houses with Darkroom Door stamps. It turned out to be a mini Christmas Village, exactely what I needed for my Holiday blog banner.

I used my son's favorite sweater (that I felted in the washing machine by accident) to create snow.

Een tijdje geleden ben ik begonnen met Darkroom Door huisjes te maken voor een kerstdorp. Het is een mini dorpje geworden, net genoeg om een kerstbanner te maken voor mijn blog. Mijn zoon's favoriete trui (per ongeluk gevilt in de wasmachine) doet dienst als sneeuw.

Pom-pons and pins were used to make a few snowmen.

Met pomponnetjes en spelden een paar sneeuwmannen gemaakt.

I used Judikins Diamond Glaze to attach pins to the light-posts.

Darkroom Door Photochips make a great background for my village :)

Darkroom Door Photochips waren perfect om als achtergrond te gebruiken voor mijn dorpje.

This was the photo I selected. I added lights in Photoshop Elements 7, and asked Louise from Art Journey if I could turn one of her text stamps into a digital brush, to use on the red square.

I also picked a new background color for my blog here

Deze foto is het uiteindelijk geworden. In Photoshop Elements 7 heb ik de lichtjes gemaakt, en Louise van Art Journey gaf me toestemming om 1 van haar tekststempels in een digitale brush te veranderen, om op het rode vlak te gebruiken.

Gothic Arch - Signs Of The Zodiac

My arch for Inkurable Gothic Arches #23: Signs Of The Zodiac. No Zodiac stamps in my collection, so I searched for an image on the internet and found this site. Cuttlebug embossing, and sponging with Distress inks.

Mijn arch voor thema #23 bij Inkurable Gothic Arches: Signs Of The Zodiac. Geen enkele Zodiac stempel in mijn collectie, dus op het internet gezocht naar een afbeelding, en deze site gevonden.

Flower Basket

An "all accasions" card. The flower basket is a new stamp by Darkroom Door. I inked it up with 3 different colors of Distress Ink, used a Mini Mister to spray water on the inked stamp. After stamping it on smooth watercolor paper I stamped it once more with Versafine #Onyx Black ink. Een kaartje voor "alle gelegenheden". Het bloemenmandje is een nieuwe stempel van Darkroom Door. De stempel met 3 kleuren Distress Inkt beïnkt, beneveld met water uit een Mini Mister en afgedrukt op glad aquarelpapier. Nog eens opnieuw afgedrukt met Versafine #Onyx Black.

I stamped the French Script background stamp and sponged with Distress Ink #Rusty Hinge.

I used a pencil to add a bit more color to the flowers.

De French Script achtergrondstempel er overheen gestempeld met Distress Inkt #Rusty Hinge, en de achtergrond gesponst. Met een kleurpotlood de bloemen nog wat meer kleur gegeven.

Gothic Arch - Mythical Creatures

A year of challenges at Inkurable Gothic Arches is almost over. This is Challenge #22, Mythical Creatures, not an easy one for me.

Nog een paar Gothic Arches moeten er gemaakt worden, voor de jaar-uitdaging bij Inkurable Gothic Arches. Thema 22 is Mythical Creatures, geen makkelijk onderwerp vind ik.

Gestempeld en gesponst met Distress inkt. Randen zijn goud geëmbossed.

Happy Holidays

Fence and Christmas Seal are stamped on one of these backgrounds. I also used an ATC as a background. White dots are done with a pen. I stamped the snowman on watercolor paper and used Distress Ink to add a bit of color.

Hekje en Christmas Seal zijn op één van deze achtergrondjes gestempeld. Ook zo'n ATC gebruikt als achtergrond. Puntjes gemaakt met een witte gelpen. De sneeuwman is op glad aquarelpapier gestempeld en met Distress inkt lichtjes ingekleurd.

I found some left over images from last year's Let it Snow cards.

On the second card I used a digital image from Hero Arts. It was printed twice, so I cut one snowman out, and attached it with 3D tape.

Cuttlebugged background, punched edge. I used some good old Hero Arts stamps as finishing touches.

Op de tweede kaart gebruikte ik een digitale afbeelding van Hero Arts. Die was tweemaal geprint. Dus heb ik 1 sneeuwman uitgeknipt en met 3D tape op het andere plaatje geplakt. Een Cuttlebug achtergrondje en een geponste rand. De kaart afgewerkt met een paar gouwe ouwe Hero Arts stempels.

Black & White - 43

Today's black & white card is a masculine card, made with 2 new stamps from Darkroom Door, the Motorcycle photo stamp and the criss cross background stamp. I used black Archival Ink from Ranger. Words are cut from Darkroom Door's Wordstrips #Venetian.

Black leather triangle is used as a photo corner.

Twee nieuwe stempels van Darkroom Door gebruikt voor mijn zwart-wit kaart. Het is een mannenkaart geworden. Gestempeld met zwarte Archival inkt van Ranger. Woorden gebruikt uit de Wordstrips #Venetian van Darkroom Door. Een lederen driehoekje geknipt en als fotohoekje gebruikt.

Look & See

On a ecoline-gesso-perfectpearls background I stamped the Hero Arts fern with Distress Ink.

I colored a piece of vellum with shimmery acrylic paint and used it to punch tiny flowers. I attached them with Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

The images and words are from Zorana. I glued a Tim Holtz fragment on the small image.

De Hero Arts varen is met Distress inkt gestempeld op een achtergrond van ecoline, gesso en perfect pearls. Een stukje vellum met glanzende acrylverf gekleurd en er bloemetjes uit geponst. Ze zijn met kleine nietjes van Tim Holtz vastgezet. De tekeningen en tekst zijn van Zorana. Op het kleine vogeltje heb ik een Tim Holtz fragment geplakt.
