A card I made with the new Art Journey stamps.

Een kaartje met de nieuwe stempels van Art Journey.

The Versafine #Onyx Black ink is heat embossed. I used Distress Inks for stamping, spongind and coloring.

De zwarte Versafine inkt is geëmbossed. Het overige is met Distress inkt gestempeld, gesponst en ingekleurd.

Sunday Scraps - 105

On today's card I stamped the Friend Definition from Hero Arts on a striped background. Added ribbon, stitching and a button. Flowers on the card are stamped with Ranger Archival #Jet Black.

Op dit kaartje gebruikte ik een gestreept achtergrondje, met daarop de Friend Definition stempel van Hero Arts. Lint, stiksels en een knoop. De bloemen zijn gestempeld met Ranger Archival inkt #Jet Black.

Black & White - 47

On this ATC I stamped the Darkroom Door image with Ranger Archival #Jet Black on white cardstock. Punched the edge at the top with Fiskars Apron Lace border punch and used needle and thread to sew on the white beads.

De Darkroom Door stempel op deze ATC is afgedrukt met Ranger Archival #Jet Black op wit karton. De schulprand bovenaan geponst met een randpons van Fiskars. Witte kraaltjes opgenaaid.

Darkroom Door - Valentine

The heart was cut from a piece of acetate and embossed with Tim Holtz embossing folder 'Rays".

I colored a piece of smooth cardstock with Distress Inks and a blending tool. After I stamped the flourish background on it I cut a heart shape, a little larger than the acetate heart.

The layers are kept together with Tim Holtz mini staples.

The heart is decorated with a Photobooth couple, a stamped rose, Tim Holtz Game Spinner, and a stamped sentiment from the All Occasions set.

Iattached a paper doily to the back.

Een hart geknipt uit acetaat en door de Cuttlebug gehaald met Tim Holtz embossingfolder "Rays"

Een stuk glad karton gesponst met een ink blending tool, de flourish background er op gestempeld en daarna een hart uitgeknipt dat iets groter is dan het acetaat hart.

De lagen samengeniet met Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

Het hart is opgesmukt met een koppel uit Darkroom Door's Photobooth reeks, een gestempelde roos en een metalen game spinner van Tim Holtz.

Tekststempel uit de All Occasions stempelset van Darkroom Door.

Afgewerkt met een taartkantje.

Birthday Card - Roses

A very sweet lady in our neighbourhood is turning 90 today. I made her this card.

Cross-Stitch Patterns

Things you can find when you go through your "old" stuff!

I found this little box, it holds 60 cards with cute cross-stitch patterns. It was a freebie from a Dutch Magazine Margriet.

Themes on the front side (in color) are Bears, Baby, Zodiac, Flowers, Farm, Vegetables, Easter, Gnomes & Mushrooms, More Flowers and Christmas. On the backsides are several alpha's (18), numbers (6), borders and more.

I don't see a copyright sign on it, but I emailed the editors from "Margriet" for permission to share the patterns on my blog. They are trying to find out if they are copyright free or not. I hope I can share the patterns with my blog readers.

Soms vind je leuke dingen bij het opruimen van kasten.

Zoals dit doosje met 60 kaartjes. Was ooit een gratis bijlage bij de Margriet.

Op de voorkant van de kaartjes staan leuke kruissteekpatroontjes in kleur, met de thema's beren, baby, dierenriem, bloemen, boerderij, groenten, pasen, paddenstoelen & kabouters, nog een reeks bloemen en kerstmis. Op de achterkant staan een aantal alfabetten (18), cijfers (6), boordjes en nog meer kleine telpatroontjes.

Ik heb naar de redactie van Margriet gemaild, om te vragen of ze onder copyright vallen. Als ze vrij zijn kan ik de patroontjes delen op mijn blog. Ze gaan het uitzoeken. Ben benieuwd!

All stamps here are by Darkroom Door. I stamped the Criss Cross background with Adirondack ink #Slate, the photo stamp and words with Archival Ink #Jet Black. I cut the long narrow quote into smaller parts and lined them up below the main image.

Acetate Tag - Rose

Looks like I'm into acetate :)

I embossed the tag in the Cuttlebug. The rose was stamped twice, cut out. I glued one rose to the front and one to the back of the tag. Two punched hearts too, one on the front, one on the back. Room for a handwritten message on the tiny tag.

Weer acetaat gebruikt. Leuk om mee te werken.

De tag is geëmbossed in de Cuttlebug. De roos 2x gestempeld, uitgeknipt, één op de voorkant geplakt en één op de achterkant. Het hartje is ook 2x uitgeponst. Op het labeltje kan iets geschreven worden.

Acetate Card - Friends

I embossed the acetate in the Cuttlebug, using a Tim Holtz embossing folder, one of my favorites. Stamping is a mix of old (words) and new (flower) Hero Arts stamps.

De acetaat is geëmbossed in de Cuttlebug, met één van mijn favoriete Tim Holtz embossingfolders. Oude (tekst) en nieuwe (bloem) Hero Arts stempels gecombineerd.

Inside is a smaller folded card, for a handwritten message.

Een dubbelgevouwen kaartje binnenin geplakt om iets op te kunnen schrijven.

I used a Stamping'Up! punch and EK Succes circle punches.

Hier is de foto gebruikt op een kaart die ik eerder al maakte.

Sunday Scraps - 103

Lots of flatpacks at our house these days. I made a post-it notes cover, that has the recycle symbols on it. I used a bit of gesso and stamped "recycle" with Darkroom Door's Alphabet Medley set. Used copy paper would have been a better recycling idea instead of the post-it notes.

Veel bouwpakketverpakkingen bij ons thuis op dit ogenblik. Een kaftje gemaakt voor post-it briefjes, met de recyclage symbolen op de voorkant. Beetje gesso gebruikt en "Recycle" gestempeld met de alfabetset van Darkroom Door. Het zou een beter recyclage-idee geweest zijn als ik gebruikt printerpapier genomen had, in plaats van zo'n kant-en-klaar post-it blokje.

I used a fine drill to make a hole in the pencil, and attached the string to the spine with Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

Een klein gaatje geboord in het potlood, en het touwtje met Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher aan het kaftje vastgeniet.

I stamped the flower stamp from Darkroom Door with Distress Ink #Victorian Velvet. I masked the image and sponged around it with the same ink. I used a paper distresser on the edges, and sponged with Distress Ink #Vintage Photo. Finished off with a sentiment, stamped with Vintage Photo too.

De bloemenstempel van Darkroom Door gestempeld met Distress Inkt #Victorian Velvet. Bedekt met een maskertje, en rondom gesponst met dezelfde inkt. Randjes bewerkt met een papierdistresser en gesponst met Distress Inkt #Vintage Photo. Met dezelfde inkt ook de wens gestempeld.

I inked an embossingfolder with Distress Ink, to color this background. Tulips are stamped on glossy photo paper with Distress Ink #Aged Mahogany.
