DarkroomDoor Stencil - Five Wonky Strips #1

On this card I combined the Botanical Notes collage sheet with the Five Wonky Strips stencil, both from DarkroomDoor's new release.

Op deze kaart maakte ik een combinatie van de Botanical Notes collage sheet met de Five Wonky Strips stencil, allebei pas nieuw bij DarkroomDoor.

Distress inks were used to sponge through the stencil and to ink the edges of my card.

Distress inkten gebruikt om door de stencil te sponzen en de randen van de kaart te beïnkten.

After stamping the Pinstripe background I chose some circle images from the Botanical Notes collage sheet.  I used a good old punch and dies to cut them out.

De Pinstripe achtergrondstempel afgedrukt met Distress inkten, en enkele ronde plaatjes uitgezocht uit de Botanical Notes.  Een punch en stansen gebruikt om ze uit te snijden.

I arranged the flowers on the card, and used Archival Ink Potting Soil to stamp the Postmarks and saying.

De bloemen op de kaart geschikt, en met Archival inkt Potting Soil de Poststempels en tekst erbij afgedrukt.

Happy words on this card.  I stamped the flowers first using Archival mini Pink Peony.  Next I stamped with Violet over the pink flower.  I also used Violet to stamp the Carved Flowers.

Vrolijke woorden op deze kaart.  De bloemen drukte ik eerst af met Archival mini Pink Peony.  Daar stempelde ik overheen met Violet.  Ook de blaadjes met Violet afgedrukt.

To fill the space inbetween the flowers I used sponged through a stencil.

Een stencil gebruikt met Archival inkten om de witte ruimte tussen de bloemen op te vullen.

Love the Simply Circles stamp set from Darkroom Door.  I stamped some of the stamps with Pink Peony and used a circle die to cut them out.  I glued the circles on the flower centers.

Voor de teksten gebruikte ik de Simply Circles set van Darkroom Door.  Afgedrukt met Pink Peony, uitgestanst en als bloemharten gebruikt.

Last Batch of Christmas Cards

I finished my Christmas cards today.

Vandaag de laatste kerstkaarten gemaakt.

Dina Wakley Media Gloss Sprays were used to color the paper a while ago.

Laatst enkele vellen papier gekleurd met Dina Wakley Media Gloss Sprays.

I've cut triangles, and embossed them using an embossing folder.

Driehoeken uitgesneden en door de cuttelbug gehaald om te embossen.

Liquid Pearls Night Sky dots.

Stippen gezet met Liquid Pearls Night Sky.

On the white folded cards I stenciled the little squares, using a Darkroom Door stencil with Distress inks.

Blokjes gestenciled op witte dubbelgevouwen kaarten, met een stencil van Darkroom Door en Distress Inkten.

I used a golden gel pen to draw a line at the bottom of each card and added Dutch words before I glued the trees onto the cards.

Onderaan elke kaart een lijn getekend met een gouden gelpen, en de tekst afgedrukt.  Daarna de kerstbomen op de kaarten gekleefd.

Sunday Scraps - 590

As usual on Sundays I made something using scraps (see last picture in this blogpost).  I made 2 Christmas cards in unusual colors.

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik iets met restjes (die je op de laatste foto in dit blogbericht kan zien).  Twee kerstkaarten, geen standaard kerstkleuren.

I've cut two circles, and 4 ornament caps.  I painted the blue circles with Liquid Pearls.  Next I added white lines and dots using a gel pen.  I decorated the ornaments with Liquid Pearls. Unfortunately the soft shimmer doesn't show up on the picture.

Twee rondjes uitgesneden, en ook de toppers om de kerstballen op te kunnen hangen.  De blauwe rondjes kregen een laagje Liquid Pearls.  Daarna een patroon getekend met een witte gelpen.  Verder afgewerkt met Liquid Pearls stippen.  Helaas kan je de zachte glinstering niet zien op de foto.

On the white folded cards I sponged stars, using a Darkroom Door stencil and Archival Ink Petunia.

De witte gevouwen kaarten kregen bovenaan sterretjes, gemaakt met een stencil van Darkroom Door en Archival ink Petunia..

Next I stamped the pine needles and berries, using Make Art stamps with Archival Ink Petunia.

Dennentakjes en besjes afgedrukt met Make Art stempels en Archival inkt Petunia.

Tags - Snowmen

3 Snowman tags I made today, using the heat emboss resist technique.

Vandaag een setje van 3 labels met een sneeuwman gemaakt.  Ik gebruikte de heat emboss resist techniek.

I stamped the Falling Snowflakes border stamp with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

De Falling Snowflakes border stempel met Versamark inkt afgedrukt om met wit poeder te embossen.

After embossing the snowflakes I sponged with Distress Inks Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood and a hint of Villainous Potion.

Na het embossen gebruikte ik Distress inkten Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood en een beetje Villainous Potion om te sponzen.

To create each snowman I've cut 3 circles using Aremio dies.  The hats, 'arms' and noses were hand cut.  I've also cut a little snowbank.  Weathered Wood and Tumbled Glass Distress inks were use with a water brush to add a bit of color to the snowmen.  Sayings are from the Christmas Sentiment Stamps.

Om de sneeuwmannen te maken sneed ik telkens 3 rondjes uit met stansen van Artemio.  Hoeden, 'armen' en neuzen met een schaartje geknipt.  Ook een bergje sneeuw geknipt.  Met Distress inkten Tumbled Glass en Weathered Wood gaf ik de sneeuw een beetje kleur.  Teksten afgedrukt met de Christmas Sentiments stempels.

Sunday Scraps - 577

As usual on Sundays I made something using scraps or left over pieces.

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik iets met restjes.

I used these golden oldies, Hero Arts stamps, to stamp the cute flowers.  I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and used a white gel pen on the petals.

Deze gouwe ouwe bloemenstempeltjes van Hero Arts nog eens tevoorschijn gehaald.  Gestempeld met Versafine Onyx Black en de bloemblaadjes ingekleurd met een witte gelpen.

Glow in the Dark Dino

A dino in the woods on this birthday card.  The background is a gel print from my stash, where I had used real leaves.  I used dies to cut the dino and tree.

Een dino verjaardagskaartje.  Voor de achtergrond nam ik een gelprint uit mijn voorraad, waarbij ik echte blaadjes gebruikte.  Dino en boom werden uitgestanst.

After I had glued the dino pieces in place I added a few layers of heat embossing, using 'glow in the dark' embossing powder.

Nadat alle delen van de dino op hun plek gekleefd waren bracht ik enkele lagen heat embossing aan.  Ik gebruikte 'glow in the dark' embossingpoeder.

Good to know that this very old embossing powder still works :)

Het embossingpoeder is al oud, maar het werkt blijkbaar nog :)

Sunday Scraps - 557

As usual on Sundays, I made something using scraps and left over pieces

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik iets met restjes.

I used my sewing machine to attach the vellum to the kraft cardstock.  The stamped butterfly from my stash was also sewn on.  I used a pencil to draw the antennae.  I've die cut a kraft flower and leaves to attach in the upper left corner of my card.

Met de naaimachine stikte ik het vellum vast op kraft kaartkarton.  De gestempelde vlinder vond ik in de restjesdoos.  Hij werd ook vastgestikt, en kreeg nieuwe voelsprieten.  Een bloem en blaadjes uitgestanst uit een restje kraft kaartkarton om bovenaan links op de kaart te plakken.

Darkroom Door - Sketched Numbers #1

DarkroomDoor released new stamps.  I received the Sketched Numbers set, which I love.  These numbers will go well with the Sketched Alphabet.  But today I used some numbers on a birthday card.

DarkroomDoor bracht nieuwe stempels uit.  Ik ontving de Sketched Numbers set.  Deze nonchalante cijfers passen perfect bij de letters van de Sketched Alphabet set.  Vandaag gebruikte ik enkele cijfers uit de set op een verjaardagskaart.

I started with a gel print.  The circles at the left hand side (Abstract 02) were already on the gel print.  I added the new Abstract 11 stamp on the right hand side, using Archival Ink Dandelion.

Gestart met een gelprint.  De cirkels aan de linkerkant (Abstract 02) zaten al op de gelprint.  Aan de rechterkant drukte ik de nieuwe Abstract 11 stempel af met Archival inkt Dandelion.

To stamp the word block I used black Archival ink.

De word block stempel afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt.

The Sketched Numbers were printed on a gelprint and cut out.  To make them stand out against the background I glued them on a stamped label from the Lots of Labels set.

De Sketched Numbers op een stukje gelprint afgedrukt en uitgeknipt.  Ze kregen een wit gestempeld label als achtergrond, een stempel uit de Lots of Labels set.

For a fun detail I used a wobble spring.

Voor een extra accent gebruikte ik een springveertje.

Simple tags in black & white.  I had stamped the Miffy images last week on her 65th birthday, to post to my Instagram account.  Today I've cut them out, cut some tags, stamped the tag toppers and added Dutch words (have a nice day)

Enkele simpele labels gemaakt in zwart-wit.  De nijntjes had ik vorige week gestempeld op haar 65ste verjaardag om op Instagram te posten.  Labels uitgestanst, en de nijntjes afbeeldingen in cirkels uitgesneden.  Stippen gestempeld en Nederlandse tekstjes.

A colored version of a black & white card I posted on Saturday (HERE).  I used Distress Oxide ink Broken China to color the background and to stamp the Butterfly Note stamp.
