A set of Christmas tealights I made.
Een setje kerst-theelichtjes gemaakt.
I colored a piece of tissue paper with Distress Ink, and stamped the snowflakes with India Ink Black. I took the tealights apart, removed the candle-wicks. Cut candle-size circles from the paper.
Een stukje tissue papier gekleurd met Distress inkt, en de sneeuwkristallen met India Ink Black gestempeld. De theelichtjes uit elkaar genomen. Het was makkelijk om de pit eruit te halen bij deze theelichtjes. Soms zitten ze vast. Rondjes ter grootte van de kaarsjes uit het papier geknipt.
I used a heat tool to attach the paper to the candle. It's handy to use skewers, a piece of tape below the candle stops it from sliding down.
Met de heat tool het papier vastgesmolten aan de kaars. Om mijn vingers niet te verbranden heb ik satéstokjes gebruikt. Een stukje plakband belet dat de kaars naar beneden glijdt.

ReplyDeleteHallo, ik kwam hier via Art Journey. Dit ziet er ontzettend leuk uit, maar kan je ne theelichtjes gewoon branden daarna? vleigt de boel niet in de fik? Bedankt in elkgeval voor de duidelijke uitleg.

ReplyDeleteda's zo'n leuk idee, ben net klaar met een theelichtkaartje. Nu kan de theelichtjes in dezelfde kleur bewerken. Echt geweldig mooi.
Mag ik je vragen of je dit met een serviette gemaakt heb, op hoeveel laagjes papier heb je gewerkt?
