It's a Girl

Another heart. I used the Fairytale kit from Odd Bird Planet again (it's on sale!), I really love the papers and lace in this kit.
Nog eens een hart gemaakt, ik heb de Fairytale kit van Odd Bird Planet weer gebruikt, die is nog tot 23 januari in de aanbieding. Er zit prachtig papier en kant in de kit.

Satin ribbon is from my stash, but the lace, gold cord, pearls and buttons come with the kit. I used a Dutch sentiment Het is een meisje (SALE), available in English too, It's a Girl (SALE).
Het satijnen lint is uit mijn voorraad, maar het kantje, gouden koord, parels en knoopjes zitten in de kit. Tekststempel Het is een meisje is tot de 23ste januari in de aanbieding.

A while ago Klaartje hosted a Fairytale Fatbook swap. You can see all pages on her blog. She also made a beautiful cover for the albums. I'm the lucky owner of such a gorgeous fatbook.
Een tijdje geleden nam ik deel aan een sprookjesfatbook swap, georganiseerd door Klaartje. Je kan alle bladzijden zien op haar blog. Klaartje maakte ook de mooie kaft voor alle boekjes, het is een prachtig album geworden.

I wanted to make a page about the Indian Water-Lilies, because this fairytale is written by Queen Fabiola from Belgium. A lot of people know this fairytale from the Theme Park De Efteling in Holland. You can click on the photos below for more details.
Ik koos De Indische Waterlelies, omdat dat sprookje geschreven is door Koningin Fabiola van België. De meeste mensen zullen het kennen van De Efteling in Nederland. Klik op de foto's hieronder als je meer detail wil zien.

Frames were cut from watercolor paper, colored with Distress Crackle Paint and Distress embossing powder.
Het lijstje uit aquarelpapier is gekleurd met Distress Crackle Paint en Distress embossingpoeder.


Words were printed on schrink foil, attached with JudiKins Diamond Glaze to this rough surface.
Titel is geprint op krimpfolie en met JudiKins Diamond Glaze op het ruwe oppervlak geplakt.

Ecoline background. Hero Arts moon was stamped with bleach. Trees are from Art Impressions and Art Journey. A Penny Black flower was used as a water-lily.
Ecoline achtergrond. De Hero Arts maan is met bleek gestempeld. Bomen zijn van Art Impressions en Art Journey. Een bloemenstempel van Penny Black doet dienst als waterlelie.

Get well cards

A couple of get well cards I made, using Odd Bird Planet's Fairytale kit. I used a scalloped punch to "bite" in the apple.
Een paar beterschapskaartjes, gemaakt met de Fairytale kit van Odd Bird Planet. In de appel "gebeten" met een geschulpte pons.

I used my nestabilities and cuttlebug embossingfolder on the second card. I love how the shimmery cardstock (comes with the kit) looks with the embossed dots.
Mijn nestabilities en cuttlebug embossingmal gebruikt. De dotjes heb ik al vaak gebruikt, leuk effect op dit glanzend kaartkarton uit de kit.

Heat embossed images (from the kit), colored with twinkling H2Os.
Gestempeld met Versafine Onyx black, kleurloos geëmbossed en met twinkling H2Os ingekleurd.

A set of "home sweet home" mini labels, on a ball chain from Tim Holtz' idea-ology collection.. I colored the tags with Distress Ink on a non-stick craft sheet. Words are from KI Memories paper #Jack+Abby Words (Love, Elsie).

Een verzameling mini labels met als thema "home sweet home", bij elkaar gehouden met een kettinkje uit de Tim Holtz idea-ology collectie. De labeltjes zijn gekleurd met Distress inkt op een non-stick craft sheet. Woorden zijn uit scrappapier van KI Memories #Jack+Abby Words (Love, Elsie)

Work in progress

This morning I colored a bunch of mini tags, using Distress Ink and a mister on a non-stick craft sheet.
Vanmorgen een aantal labeltjes gekleurd, met Distress Inkt en water op een non-stick craft sheet.

Inked edges.
Randjes bijgekleurd.

I started decorating 1 tag. The pillow stamps are from Odd Bird Planet's Fairytale Kit. Word is cut out form Love, Elsie's designer paper.

Voorlopig begin gemaakt met 1 labeltje. De kussen stempels zijn uit de Sprookjeskit van Odd Bird Planet. Woordje geknipt uit een vel scrappapier van Love, Elsie.

Art Journal - Spring

I finished this page in my art  journal, I started it months ago.
Een pagina in mijn art journal afgemaakt, waar ik maanden geleden aan begon.

Acrylic paint background.  I stamped the red DotsTexture stamps Distress Paint, the French Script and Floral Texture Stamps with StazOn ink.  The gate was colored with Neocolors.

Achtergrond gemaakt met acrylverf.  De rode bolletjes zijn met Distress Paint en Darkroom Door's Dots Texture stempel afgedrukt.  De French Script en Floral Texture stempels werden met StazOn inkt afgedrukt.  Het poortje is gekleurd met Neocolors.

The little bird is a stamp by Art Journey.  Twine wreath and a punched heart.
Het vogeltje is een stempel van Art Journey.  Kransje van touw met een geponst hart.
