Sunday Scraps - 52

As I was thinking about my Sunday Scraps post, I saw the new theme at Inkurable Stampers' Arches : Lace.
So I started cutting out flowers from a piece of stamped and heat embossed vellum that didn't turn out very well.
I used Distress Ink and Memories black to do the stamping.

Net op tijd het nieuwe thema gezien bij Inkurable Stampers' arches: Kant.
Bloemetjes geknipt uit een stuk gestempeld en geëmbossed vellum, dat slecht gestempeld was omdat het niet vlak lag tijdens het stempelen.

Sunday Scraps - 51

I used a flower punch and a Nestabilities die to cut parts from a stamped piece. The turquoise strip is embossed in the Cuttlebug and I used a "Thanks" definition stamp and swirl on the cream strip.

Een bloemenpons en Nestabilities die gebruikt om stukjes uit een gestempeld stukje papier te stansen. Het was al ingekleurd. Turquoise strook door de Cuttlebug gehaald, en op het cremekleurig papier de "Thanks" definitie en krul gestempeld.

Darkroom Door - ATC Country Cottage

The Country Cottage image was stamped with Memories Black ink on a Talens Ecoline & Perfect Pearls background. I cut the image in half to create 2 ATCs. Colored the image with pencils. Layered on a stamped Plaid Background. I added color to the wordstrips with Distress Ink #Frayed Burlap. QuicKutz photo corners, Making Memories mini brads and Tim Holtz mini staples.

De Country Cottage is gestempeld met Memories Black op een achtergrond van Talens Ecoline met Perfect Pearls. Afdruk doormidden gesneden om 2 ATCs te maken. Ingekleurd met potloden en op een Plaid achtergrond geplakt. De wordstrips een beetje kleur gegeven met Distress Ink #Frayed Burlap. QuicKutz fotohoekjes, met Making Memories mini brads vastgezet. Mini nietjes van Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

Darkroom Door - Hugs & Kisses

I cut a heart from a stamped Plaid Background. The rose is stamped and heat embossed, colored with Twinkling H2Os. I love that you can bend the stem when you put the stamp onto the clear stamping block.

Een hart uit de gestempeld Plaid Background geknipt. De roos is gestempeld en kleurloos geëmbossed. Ingekleurd met Twinkling H2Os. Leuk dat je de steel van de roos een beetje gebogen op je acrylblok kan plakken.

Robot - Hello

Hubby was organizing his stuff and found this metal tape. It's 3" wide. I stole a piece :) I put it on cardstock, cuttlebugged a part, punched a flower and stamped a robot on it. Easy to cut out! I used a black acrylic paint dabber on the embossed part, left it to dry a bit and used baby wipes to remove most of it again.

Mijn ventje vond een rol metalen tape bij het sorteren van zijn spullen. De rol is 7,5 cm breed. Ik heb er een stukje van gejat :) Op cardstock geplakt en een deel door de cuttlebug gehaald, met een laagje zwarte acryl paint dabber bedekt, even laten drogen en met een babydoekje weer verwijderd. Een bloem geponst en een robot gestempeld. Het is heel makkelijk te knippen met een gewone schaar.

Thank You card

I stamped the large flower twice on watercolor paper. I cut parts off from the top layer and used 2 shades of pearlescent watercolor paint. The sentiment is an older stamp from Hero Arts, love it's shape when I make this fold on a card.

De grote bloem 2 keer gestempeld op aquarelpapier. Gekleurd met deze parelmoerverf, en delen van de bovenlaag weggeknipt. De tekststempel is een oudere Hero Arts stempel, de langwerpige vorm past goed bij deze kaarten.

Thinking of You - Rose

The background on this card is made with ecoline/shadowpaint. I stamped with Adirondack #Oregano and Brilliance #Graphite Black. The black ink is heat embossed. I used the Adirondack ink to color the rose. Cuttlebug embossing, and a punched border.
De achtergrond is gemaakt met ecoline/shadowpaint. Gestempeld met Adirondack #Oregano en Brilliance #Graphite Black. De zwarte inkt is kleurloos geëmbossed, de roos ingekleurd met Adirondack inkt. Cuttlebug embossing en een geponste rand.

Darkroom Door - Far and Away

The Plaid Background stamp was inked up with Marvy Le Plume markers, using two different colors: Laurel Green and Burnt Umber. The photochip is machine stitched onto matching green cardstock. Ribbon, button and wordstrips are used as finishing touches.

Twee kleuren Marvy Le Plume markers zijn gebruikt om de Plaid Background te inkten: Laurel Green & Burnt Umber. De fotochip is met een zigzagsteek op bijpassend groen cardstock gestikt. Lint, knoop en wordstrips gekozen voor de afwerking.

I'm learning :)

I'm making more index sheets for my Darkroom Door stamps, but I learned a few things :)
-I stamped the whole sheet before cutting it up
-I stamped on vellum (you can see my fingers), so I can stick the stamps on the back. Useful for odd shapes, such as the saxophone.

Ben nog meer index-sheets aan't maken voor mijn Darkroom Door stempels, maar ik leer bij :)
- de hele lap eerst gestempeld, daarna de stempels pas uitgeknipt
- op vellum gestempeld, zo kan ik de stempels op de achterkant plakken. Handig voor stempels met assymetrische vormen, zoals de saxofoon.

The laminated sheets go into the Darkroom Door tins. I've put the stamps on EZ Mount, so they stick very well to the laminated sheets.

Het vellum weer gelamineerd, en in het Darkroom Door bewaarblikje gelegd. Ik gebruik EZ Mount om de stempels te monteren, ze blijven goed zitten op deze index-sheets.
