Sunday Scraps - 179

I used one of my favorite embossing folders on these cards (inspired by this card on pinterest).

After I embossed the cardstock, I stamped a definition stamp from Darkroom Door's Noel stamp set.

The stars are leftover images from a digital kit, found in my stash.

The scraps I started with.
Deze restjes gebruikt.

-Digital kit:  New Beginnings (used to create this Christmas Album too)
-Darkroom Door stamps:  Noel, All Occasions
Sizzix embossing folder: Rays

Have a great Sunday!

  3. These are beautiful, Godelieve. So simply done yet very striking & with a look of taking hours to make.

  7. I love the effect you got here, but I'm not sure how you did it. You used an embossing folder (one of my favorites) so I know that those raised sections are dry embossed, not heat embossed. How did they resist the stamping? Did you use a glossy cardstock and dye ink which you could wipe off the raised areas? Also, why wasn't weren't the embossed areas flattened by the stamp? Do you think I asked enough questions? LOL.

Thanks for sharing your terrific cards

    1. Thanks Daria.
It probably doesn't show very well in the pictures, but the stamping is on the raised parts of the embossed cardstock.
So this is what I did:
      - I embossed the cardstock (non glossy) using an embossing folder in the Cuttlebug
-stamped on the embossed cardstock, the stamping is mostly on the raised parts
-added color using Distress Ink and an ink blending tool.

      I hope this helps:)
