Black & White - 579

A simple black & white page in my sketchbook.  We have two blackbirds's nests again near our kitchen window.  Made me think of this old Stampendous stamp that I really love.  

Weinig tijd om te stempelen, dus werd het een snelle zwart-wit bladzijde in mijn schetsboek.  Zoals elk jaar hebben we weer enkele merelnesten dichtbij het keukenraam.  Daarom haalde ik de mooie Stampendous stempel nog eens voor de dag.

Oh Christmas Tree

Another simple Christmas card.

Nog een eenvoudig kerstkaartje gemaakt.

A while ago I made a bunch of simple backgrounds, using Wendy Vecchi's Archival re-inkers with alcolhol blending solution on a craftsheet.  Today I used one of them to create this quick & easy Christmas card.

Een tijdje geleden maakte ik een stapeltje eenvoudige achtergronden met Wendy Vecchi's Archival re-inkers en alcohol blending solution op een craftsheet.  Makkelijk begin voor een snel gemaakte kerstkaart.

I stamped with Archival inks English Ivy and Potting Soil, and added a small deer.

Met Archival inkten English Ivy en Potting Soil gestempeld en een hertje erbij gezet.

To add some texture I used the small Checkered stencil from Darkroom Door with Archival inks.

Op de achtergrond gebruikte ik de kleine Checkered stencil van Darkroom Door met Archival inkten.

Here's a card I made a while ago in black & white, but today I watercolored the flowers using Altenew watercolors.

A fviolet card in black & white, after a colored version from a few days ago.

Een viooltjeskaart in zwart-wit, na de gekleurde versie van enkele dagen geleden.

I used Penny Black dies to add a decorative edge.  Two good old favorite Texture stamps from Darkroom Door were stamped around the image.

De Penny Black stans zorgt voor een decoratief randje.  Rondom de bloem stempelde ik met enkele oudere favoriete texture stempels van Darkroom Door.

Photo Inspiration - Viola Odorata

Once a year I use this violets stamp, when the Viola Odorata is blooming in our garden.  I always colored them blue.  But today I discovered these in pink.  We didn't plant any of these, so I guess we have to thank the birds for bringing them to our garden :) 

Deze stempel gebruik ik eens per jaar, wanneer ik het maarts viooltje in bloei zie staan in de tuin.  Tot nu toe kleurde ik de bloemetjes blauw.  Maar vanmorgen ontdekte ik tot mijn verbazing heel wat roze viooltjes.  Ik wist zelfs niet dat die bestonden.  Alle maarts viooltjes kwamen vanzelf aangewaaid in onze tuin.  Waarschijnlijk moeten we daarvoor de vogels bedanken :)

I used Distress Markers and Derwent Procolour pencils on the flowers.  Inked the background with Distress inks.

Photo Inspiration - Viola Odorata

Yesterday I noticed the Viola Odorata in full bloom in the garden.  We didn't plant them, we thank the birds for bringing these Spring flowers to our garden.  There are more of them showing up every year. The flowers made me want to use this Stampendous stamp. I stamped with black Archival ink, colored the image with Altenew watercolor paint and used colored pencils on top of the watercoloring.  The pretty washi tape is by Wendy Vecchi.  Maybe I will add a saying later, but it is handy to have some neutral cards ready.

Gisteren zag ik dat het Maarts Viooltje in volle bloei stond.  We hebben die niet geplant, maar danken de vogels om deze lentebloeiers naar onze tuin te brengen.  Het worden er elk jaar meer.

Ik ben een viooltjesfan.  De bloemetjes deden me denken aan de viooltjesstempel van Stampendous.  Gestempeld met zwarte Archival inkt.  Ingekleurd met waterverfjes van Altenew.  Daar overheen met potloden gekleurd.  Een mooie washi tape van Wendy Vecchi erbij gebruikt.  Altijd handig om enkele kaarten zonder tekst op voorraad te hebben.

 I noticed that I have several "birds on branches" stamps.  Here are some of them in my watercolor album.

Ik merkte dat ik nogal wat stempels heb met "vogels op een takje" .  Ik heb er enkele afgedrukt in mijn aquarel album.

Get Well Card

An inky paper towel was used as a background on this get well card.

I stamped the flower and sentiment on a Distress Ink background from my stash.

Cut some leaves from the same paper.

Een beïnkt stuk keukenpapier gebruikt als achtergrond bij deze kaart.

De bloem en wens op een stukje Distress Inkt papier gestempeld.  En er ook een paar blaadjes uit geknipt.

 I couldn't resist this Hydrangea stamp by Stampendous.

It was stamped with black ink on a Distress Paint background, but then by mistake I used white embossingpowder instead of clear :(

The image is colored with Twinkling H2Os.

Hydrangea stempels kan ik moeilijk weerstaan, zoals deze van Stampendous.

Met zwarte inkt afgedrukt op een Distress Paint achtergrond, en toen per vergissing wit embossingpoeder gebruikt in plaats van kleurloos :(

Delicious Pear

 This beautiful pear stamp was stamped with Ranger Archival Ink #Jet Black.

A couple of flower tags I made today.  I made the background earlier, using the Ecoline & Salt technique (click)

Een paar bloemenlabels gemaakt vandaag.  De achtergrond was al klaar, gemaakt met een Ecoline & zout techniek (klik)

I heat embossed the Ranunculus stamp and colored it in with Twinkling H2Os.  Stitched onto black cardstock.

De ranonkels zijn geëmbossed en met Twinkling H2Os ingekleurd.  Op zwart kaartkarton gestikt.
