Christmas Ornaments

I know... it's still supposed to be summer, ... too early to be thinking about Christmas decoration. But as soon as I saw these new justjohanna stamps they made me think of Christmas decoration. Reading message boards, I know I'm not the only one who's looking for ideas already.
Ik weet het wel... 't is nog zomer... veel te vroeg om aan kerstmis te denken. Maar toen ik deze nieuwe stempels van justjohanna zag, deden ze me meteen aan kerstdecoratie denken. Op verschillende forums heb ik gemerkt dat ik niet de enige ben die al naar ideetjes op zoek is.

The Saddled Ragdoll Pony and Harvey Left are stamped and heat embossed with gold on soft yellow vellum cardstock, which I found in a local shop. Jingle bells and ribbon from my stash.
De Saddled Ragdoll Pony & Harvey Left zijn gestempeld en goud ge-embossed op zachtgeel dik vellum, dat ik in een plaatselijke winkel vond. Belletjes en lint uit mijn voorraad.
Ornaments are by Rayher (about 2" and 2 1/2").
De "kerstballen" zijn van Rayher, ze zijn ongeveer 5cm en 6,5 cm.

Sketch Card - Happy Birthday

A 4x4 card I made for Dee's Sketch on 2Peas.
Een 10x10cm kaartje gemaakt volgens Dee's schets op 2Peas.
I will also enter it on DCM's button challenge.
Twee vliegen in 1 klap, dit kaartje is ook geschikt voor de knoopjes uitdaging van DCM.

Strawberry Castle

This invitation is 5"x5", so the Strawberry Castle from justjohanna's new collection is really big, as you can see.
Deze uitnodiging is 12,5 x 12,5 cm. Dus dit aardbeienkasteel van justjohanna's nieuwe collectie is echt wel een grote stempel zoals je kan zien.
Colored with twinkling H2Os.
Ingekleurd met glinsterende waterverf van LuminArte.

Glassine envelope

A while ago Julie sent me some of these wonderful glassine envelopes she was using on her cards. I used one of them on this card. I stamped on it with Distress ink #Peeled Paint.

Een tijdje geleden stuurde Julie mij enkele van deze doorzichtige zakjes op, glassine zoals zij ze noemt. Ze doen me denken aan het kristalpapier dat mijn ouders vroeger gebruikten in hun bloemenwinkel, maar het is toch net iets anders. Ik heb er met Distress inkt #Peeled Paint op gestempeld.Inside the envelope is a tag I made for Worldwide Stamping Weekend on 2Peas. You can take a closer look HERE.

These cute fish stamps and words are new justjohanna stamps. I combined them with the seaweed, stems, heart trio and waves.
Deze leuke visjes en de tekst zijn nieuwe stempels van justjohanna. Gecombineerd met algen, stengels, hartjes en golfstempel.
Talens Van Gogh watercolors on the background, and these twinkling watercolors on the images.
Achtergrond van Talens Van Gogh aquarelverf, en deze glinsterende verf voor het inkleuren van de stempels.

Wishing you the tweetest day

A card I finished today, using an ATC I found while cleaning...I made it a few weeks ago. I even made step by step pictures then...
Deze kaart geraakte vandaag af, met een ATC die ik vond tijdens 't opruimen. Ik maakte zelfs stap voor stap foto's toen ik de ATC enkele weken geleden maakte.
I stamped the ragged pony, and masked it with a cut out image. Then I stamped with Versamark and applied chalk from my soft pastels with a paper towel. So far so good...

Ik stempelde en maskerde de pony. Daarna een achtergrond gestempeld met Versamark inkt, en met soft pastels gekleurd. Tot zover ging alles goed...

After stamping the sentiment with black ink, I realised that it was difficult to read. I removed the mask, tried to stamp the sentiment on cream cardstock, but I still didn't like it and put it away...
Toen ik de tekst met zwart gestempel had zag ik dat hij niet goed leesbaar was. Het maskertje verwijderd, tekst op ecru karton gestempeld, maar ik kreeg er geen zicht op, en heb de ATC weggelegd.

Today I found the ATC and added a deep red mat, soft turquoise strips and accents. I think it looks much better now.
Vandaag vond ik de ATC, gemat op donkerrood en wat licht turquoise accentjes gebruikt. Ik vind dat er nu veel beter uit ziet.

Sketch Card - Proficiat

The ATC is from my stash. I added copper embossing to match the metallic paper strips and the brads.
Ik gebruikte een ATC uit mijn voorraadje. De koperen embossing heb ik toegevoegd, zodat de ATC bij de strookjes papier en splitpennen past.

Circle Dot Background stamp, some circles are cut out, some I colored with a white pen.

I thought this little birdhouse would be perfect to decorate for the occasion.
Dit nestkastje leek me perfect om te decoreren voor deze gelegenheid.
I used vibrant red to paint the wood
Het hout heb ik felrood geschilderd.
I used the Lacy Border stamp on Ecoline paper to create the roof.
Het dak is gemaakt met de Lacy Border stempel op Ecoline papier.
Bird is cut out and glued on the little stick. I stamped the flowers, the fence and words, cut around them, so they can be put upright, as you can see on the first picture. Wishing you a "tweet" new home Johanna.
De vogel is uitgeknipt en op het zitstokje geplakt. De bloemen, het hekje en tekst zijn gestempeld, en rondom uitgesneden, zodat ze rechtop kunnen staan. Je kan het op de eerste foto zien.

Holland-België swap

Made for a swap: "Something typical about Belgium/Holland". I chose Bruges, one of the "lace cities" in Belgium.
Voor een "Typisch Hollands/Belgisch" swap: Ik koos voor Brugge, één van de bekende "Kant steden" in België.
The lace by Hero Arts is the only stamping here. I heat embossed it on vellum.
Alleen het kant van Hero Arts is gestempeld hier. Geëmbossed op vellum.

I used this folder template before, just cut off a strip at the top. CLICK
Het patroon voor dit mapje heb ik al eerder gebruikt, nu is er bovenaan een strook afgesneden. KLIKI made the envelopes too, and stamped the images with Memories White.
De envelopjes zijn ook zelfgemaakt. Gestempeld met Memories White.

Summer Time card

Bleach stamping and stamping on transparency. This card is 4" x 4". It was a bit tricky to take a picture. Sorry about the reflections.
Gestempeld met bleek en op een transparant sheet. Kaartje is 10 x 10cm. Niet makkelijk om dit te fotograferen.

I stamped on Ecoline background, these were the colors I used.
Gestempeld op Ecoline papier, deze kleuren heb ik gebruikt.
