Art Journey Challenge - 12

I really like Paula's new Art Journey Challenge: Anything but a Card.

Paula bedacht een leuk thema voor de 12de Art Journey uitdaging: Alles behalve een kaart.

So, I decorated one of my empty coffee tins.

Ik koos een koffieblik om te versieren.

I used heavy weight copy paper, A4 size, covered it with gesso and Distress Stains.

I misted with water, sponged with Distress Ink to create a background.

Ik gebruikte een A4 vel dik kopiëerpapier. Ingesmeerd met gesso en Distress Stains.

Gesponst met Distress inkt en een spuitflesje met water gebruikt om een achtergrond te maken.

I stamped some fish with StazOn ink and cut them out.

Vissen gestempeld met StasOn inkt en uitgeknipt.

I also stamped a background with StazOn.

Ook een achtergrond gestempeld met StazOn.

Then I applied 2 layers of Adirondack acrylic paint on the lid, using a sponge. Love the texture.

Met een sponsje 2 laagjes Adirondack acrylverf aangebracht op het deksel. Geeft een mooie textuur.

I used a gluestick to attach the paper to the tin. Works fine.

Het papier met een plakstift op het blikje geplakt. Dat gaat heel goed.

Sunday Scraps - 129

Today I used some white leftover pieces of watercolor paper, because I wanted to draw more of these cute birds. I first found a link to Delphine Doreau's tutorial on "Deze is ook leuk" here.

Restjes aquarelpapier uitgezocht, want ik wou nog zo'n reeks leuke vogeltjes tekenen. Die zag ik voor 't eerst bij "Deze is ook leuk" hier.

Black & White - 65

On today's & white card I used a water lily stamp from Stampendous.  The card is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"

De waterlelie op deze zwart-wit kaart is een stempel van Stampendous.  Groot genoeg om een kaart van 13 x 13 cm te vullen.

Summer Fun

I used a heat emboss resist technique with Distress Inks on the background.

I love to do tags, when using up leftover pieces.

Labels, dat is wat ik 't liefst maak met mijn restjes papier.

These are the scraps I started with.  Leftovers from the cards below:

Met deze restjes begonnen vandaag.  Het zijn de restjes van de kaarten hieronder:

I cut out the center part of the stamped frame and distressed the edges.  I used the cut out part as a mask and sponged around it.

Het middengedeelte uit het lijstje geknipt, randjes rafelig gemaakt.  Het uitgeknipte deel als maskertje gebruikt om  een rand te sponzen.

Thank You Frames

A mix of old and new Hero Arts stamps on this card.

Oude en nieuwe stempels van Hero Arts door elkaar gebruikt op deze kaart.

I stamped the frames with Memories #Sand, used a mask to stamp the definition stamp and flowers inside the frames.

De kadertjes gestempeld met Memories #Sand, een maskertje geknipt om de definitiestempel en bloemen in de kadertjes te stempelen.

Do you remember THIS blogpost?  I printed the photo, it is pixelated because it's a screenshot, not the best quality for printing...

I cut a strip from this photo, stamped the filmstrip edge from Darkroom Door and taped the pieces together.

Weet je nog, DIT blogbericht?  Ik heb de foto geprint, niet de beste printkwaliteit, omdat het een schermafbeelding is...

Een strook uitgesneden, de filmrand van Darkroom Door gestempeld en langs de foto's geplakt.

In my head I made this several times already, at last here's a real one :)

I used a small branch from the garden and wire.

Stamped with StazOn #Timber Brown and colored with Distress Inks.

In gedachten maakte ik dit al vaak, hier is er eindelijk eentje in 't echt :)

Een takje uit de tuin gebruikt en ijzerdraad.

Zoals elke zondag, weer een kaart gemaakt met restjes. (hier inspiratie gevonden: klik)

After seeing THIS post on "Deze is ook leuk", I knew why I was saving all those ends of ribbon :)

Toen ik DIT bericht zag bij "Deze is ook leuk", wist ik waarom ik al die eindjes lint bewaarde :)
