Golden Oldies - 14

Good old stamps from Magenta on these labels.  Images are heat embossed and colored with watercolor pencils.  I sponged the labels with Distress Ink #Barn Door.

Oude Magenta stempeltjes gebruikt op deze labeltjes.  De afdrukjes werden geëmbossed en met aquarelpotloden ingekleurd.  Gesponst met Distress Ink #Barn Door.

Leuk dat deze linten lang genoeg zijn om over de hele breedte van de kaart te stempelen.

I stamped a heart from Darkroom Door's Hearts set, and made a few cuts to put in place.

Een hart van Darkroom Door's Hearts set gestempeld, een paar insnijdingen in de kaart gemaakt om het hart achter de linten te stoppen.

Harmonica Book - Roses and Music

This rose from the new Beautiful Roses sheet inspired me to make this little book.  I used several Art Journey stamps, with a music or roses theme

De roos van de nieuwe sheet Beautiful Roses inspireerde me om dit boekje te maken.  Ik zocht een aantal Art Journey stempels bij elkaar die met rozen en muziek te combineren zijn.

I stamped with black ink on the left hand pages, and attached a colorful stamped piece to the pages on the right hand side.

Aan de linkerkant stempelde ik telkens gewoon met zwarte inkt, aan de rechterkant plakte ik een kleurige gestempelde pagina.

On this page I stamped the pear, masked it to stamp the background.

De peer gestempeld en met een maskertje bedekt om de achtergrond te stempelen.

The Diva is watching the dancing couple :)

De Diva houdt het dansende paar in 't oog  :)

Work in Progress - Step 3

 The next step in decorating the mini-drawers kit.  I painted the wood with two layers of bright green acrylic paint.

De volgende stap voor mijn ladenkastje:  Ik schilderde het hout met felgroene acrylverf, 2 lagen.

 I sanded the poppies after the paint had dried.

Toen de verf goed droog was, schuurde ik de zijkanten op.

 The Kaisercraft kit.

Then I used the template again to lightly brush some gesso onto the poppies.

Daarna het sjabloon nog eens gebruikt om een dun laagje gesso over te poppies aan te brengen.

Sunday Scraps - 164

 As usual on Sundays, something made with scraps.

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik weer iets met restjes.

 I wanted to rescue this piece I found on my table.

Dit vond ik op mijn tafel, en probeerde het te redden van de papierbak.

Turned this last piece into tiny tabs.

Dit laatste stukje werden 2 labeltjes.

Golden Oldies - 13

 Another card made with old stamps and new inks.

Weer een kaartje met oude stempels en nieuwe inkt.

 I heat embossed the heart stamp and the edges of the oval diecut, clear embossingpowder on Versafine #Onyx Black ink.

De hartstempel en de randjes van de ovale stans werden geëmbossed met kleurloos embossingpoeder of Versafine #Onyx Black.

 I stamped the text background with Versamark ink on Canson Bristol paper, dried it with a heattool, and colored the paper with Distress Stains.  I was expecting to see a resist, but instead it added a soft texture, that feels like velvet :)  Happy accident.

Eerst stempelde ik de tekst achtergrondstempel met Versamark inkt op Canson Bristol papier, goed drooggemaakt met de heattool, en daarna met Distress Stains het papier gekleurd.  Ik dacht dat dat een resist effect zou opleveren, maar ik kreeg dit reliëf in de plaats, het voelt aan als velours.  Leuk als er zoiets onverwachts gebeurt.

Work in Progress - Step 2

 I've been working on this Mini Drawers kit from Kaisercraft again.  I used a Crafter's Workshop template and gesso to add some texture.

Nog eens iets aan mijn miniladenkastje van Kaisercraft gedaan.  Ik gebruikte een sjabloon van Crafter's Workshop met gesso op de zijkanten van het kastje.  Met gesso gesponst om een beetje textuur te verkrijgen.
