I ♥ dandelions.  Couldn't resist these stamps from Ludiec.

Paardenbloemen, ik vind ze mooi.  Dus die stempels van Ludiec had ik nodig.

I stamped with Different Colors ink Soft Desert, colored the images with Altenew watercolor paints and Derwent Procolour pencils.

Gestempeld met Different Colors inkt Soft Desert.  Ingekleurd met waterverfjes van Altenew en kleurpotloden van Derwent.

Faux Postage Stamps - Gathered Flowers

On these faux postage stamps I used the new Gathered Flowers stamp set from Darkroom Door.

Weer een setje 'postzegels' gemaakt.  De bloemen uit de nieuwe Gathered Flowers stempelset van Darkroom Door lenen er zich perfect voor.

First I stamped the squares, using Darkroom Door's Frame stamp Shadow 6 UP with Distress Ink Lost Shadow.  I used my special scissors to cut them out.

Eerst de vierkantjes afgedrukt met de frame stempel Shadow 6UP van Darkroom Door met Distress inkt Lost Shadow. De vierkantjes uitgeknipt met mijn postzegelrandschaar.

I inked the flower stamps with Distress Markers.  

De bloemenstempels beïnkt met Distress Markers.

Stamps from the Global Postmarks set were used to finish off the faux postages stamps.

Swatches - Caran d' Ache Neocolor II

Started doing swatches.  First my Neocolor II, inspired by Emma Lefebvre.

Een begin gemaakt met kleurstaaltjes.  Mijn Neocolor II kwamen eerst aan de beurt, geïnspireerd door Emma Lefebvre.

 

Get Well Card

Today's card is a get well card.

Vandaag maakte ik een beterschapskaartje.

I used the large stencil Checkered from Darkroom Door with Distress Oxide inks to create the background.

Met Distress inkten en de grote stencil Checkered van Darkroom Door maakte ik de ruitjesachtergrond.

The Envelope Note stamp was stamped with black Archival ink.  I made a mask to cover the envelope, so I could stamp the flowers and words on the card.

De Envelope Note stempel met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt.  Een masker gemaakt om de envelop te bedekken, zodat alleen de kaart bestempeld werd met bloemen en tekst.

The stamps from the Gathered Flowers set were inked with Distress Markers.  The envelope was cut out and glued onto the checkered card base.

Darkroom Door - Terracotta Pot #3

A kraft card.  Behind the cut out circle I glued the stamped Lattice.  I chose a flower from the Botanical notes collage sheets to put in de Terracotta Pot.

Een kraft kaart.  Een cirkel uitgesneden en er de gestempelde Lattice achter geplaatst.  Een bloem gekozen uit de Botanical Notes collage sheets van Darkroom Door.

The Terracotta Pot was stamped with Distress Oxide Candied Apple.  and decorated with the Damask Texture stamp.

De Terracotta Pot gestempeld met Distress Oxide Candied Apple.  De Damask texture stempel er overheen afgedrukt ter decoratie.

A little butterfly from the Wings set as a finishing touch.

Een vlindertje uit de Wings set moest er gewoon bij.

Sunday Scraps - 633

As usual on Sundays I made something using scraps (see last photo)

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik iets met restjes (zie laatste foto)

I used pencils to color the flower.  Missing petals were added using a black pen.  Next I've cut out the flower and leaves.  

Met potloden de bloem ingekleurd.  Ontbrekende bloemblaadjes erbij getekend met een zwart stiftje.  Bloem en blaadjes uitgeknipt.

A stencil and Distress Oxide Ink were used to do the dots.  Sentiment is a new stamp from DarkroomDoor.

Stippen gesponst met Distress Oxide inkt en een stencil.  De tekststempel is een nieuwe van DarkroomDoor.

When you stamp too close to the binding rings in a sketchbook :(  But I saved the print :)

Als je te dicht bij de ringen van je schetsboek stempelt :(  Maar de afdruk is gered :)

Long Distance Hugs

I love the Sentiment stamps from Darkroom Door.  I recently bought this one:  Long Distance.

Ik ben fan van de Sentiment stempels van Darkroom Door.  Dit is mijn nieuwste aankoop:  Long Distance.

For today's card I made a vibrant background using the Tribal texture stamp with Distress inks.

Voor deze kaart maakte ik een achtergrond in felle kleurtjes met de Tribal texture stempel en Distress inkten.

I stamped with black Archival ink.  Perfect Pearls from my stash were used on the flowers and tiny heart inside the Small Glass Dome.  Hard to catch the shimmer on a photo.  I also used pencils on the dome:  deep brown on the plate and white on the glass.

Met zwarte Archival inkt gestempeld.  Mijn Perfect Pearls nog eens tevoorschijn gehaald, en aangebracht op de bloemen en het hartje onder de glazen stolp.  De zachte glans is helaas niet goed te zien op de foto.  Kleurpotloden gebruikt voor de stolp:  Donkerbruin voor de houten plaat en wit op het glas.

Gathered Flowers #4

A row of Gathered Flowers on this card.  The flower stamps are from Darkroom Door's new release.

Een rij Gathered Flowers op deze kaart.  De bloemenstempels zijn pas uitgebracht door Darkroom Door.

I was inspired by Jane Clark when she was using these flower stamps with good old chalks.

Ik zag Jane Clark deze bloemen gebruikten met chalks.  Mijn pastelpotloden meteen uit de kast gehaald!

I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink and used Van Gogh Pastel pencils by Talens o add color to the flowers.

De bloemen afgedrukt met Versamark inkt, en met Van Gogh pastelpotloden van Talens ingekleurd.

Next I inked the background with Distress Ink Tumbled Glaze.  The quote was stamped with Distress Oxide Faded Jeans.

Daarna de achtergrond gekleurd met Distress inkt Tumbled Glaze.  De tekst afgedrukt met Distress Oxide inkt Faded Jeans.

I used Altenew watercolors and Derwent Procolour pencils for coloring.  Distress Ink Vintage Photo was used to ink the edges.

Darkroom Door - Terracotta Pot #2

Another card I made, using the new Terracotta Pot stamp from Darkroom Door.  I chose blue here.

Nog een kaart gemaakt met de nieuwe Terracotta Pot stempel van Darkroom Door.  Hier koos ik blauw.

I picked a flower from the Beautiful Blooms stamp set, inked up with Distress Markers.

Een bloem gekozen uit de Beautiful Blooms set.  Beïnkt met Distress Markers.

I covered the stamped flower with a post-it note to stamp the Terracotta Pot.  I used my Misti and an acetate sheet to find the position for the stamp (as shown here in an older blogpost).  The pot, lattice and words were all stamped with Distress Oxide Prize Ribbon.

De gestempelde bloem bedekt met een post-it om de Terracotta Pot te stempelen.  Ik gebruikte mijn Misti en een acetaat vel om de juiste plek van de pot te vinden (zoals ik hier al eens toonde in een ouder blogbericht).  De bloempot, tekst en latwerk werden allemaal met Distress Oxide Prize Ribbon gestempeld.

I've inked the new Gathered Flowers stamps with Distress Markers and put them inside the Polaroid Frame stamp.

De nieuwe Gathered Flowers stempels beïnkt met Distress Markers.  Ik drukte ze af in het Polaroid Frame.

Some Gathered Flowers were stamped on the background.  Some flowers were cut out and adhered to the pages.

Bloemen op de achtergrond gestempeld, en gestempelde bloemen uitgeknipt om hier en daar op de pagina's te plakken.

I stamped the Terracotta Pots with Distress Oxide Inks, used a wet brush to spread the ink, and decorated the pots using Texture stamps.

De Terracotta potten afgedrukt met Distress Oxide inkten, de inkt mooi verspreid met een nat penseel.  Daarna Texture stempels gebruikt om een motief op de potten aan te brengen.

The Lattice stamp goes well with this garden theme.  I stamped with Archival Ink Acorn and colored with Distress Oxide Bundled Sage.  I've cut the print into smaller pieces and added these on my pages.

De Lattice stempel past mooi bij het thema tuin.  Ik stempelde die met Archival inkt Acorn.  Met een blending tool bracht ik een laag Distress Oxide aan. Kleine stukken van het latwerk hier en daar aangebracht op de pagina's.
