Again cards I made for a local shop to inspire beginning cardmakers.

Wrapped - Ingepakt

Yesterday I visited two friends. This is how I wrapped the card portfolios I gave them. I stamped a vellum strip with stamps from Hero Arts (swirl and flower), Magenta (flower shadow), justjohanna (tiny flower) and stamp-a-dream (text). Inkpad: Versamagic #Jumbo Java. Raffia and curled colored wire.

Gisteren was ik op bezoek bij vrienden. Zo verpakte ik de kaartenmapjes die ik hun gaf. De vellum strook is gestempeld met stempels van Hero Arts (krul en bloem), Magenta (achtergrond bloem), justjohanna (kleine bloemetje) en stamp-a-dream (tekst). Stempelinkt: Versamagic #Jumbo Java. Raffia en gekleurd ijzerdraad.

Hartelijk gefeliciteerd

This is one of Maryse Carrier's new Dutch sentiment stamps, it means "Congratulations". She made a whole sheet with Dutch words, and I really like them. Ecoline background and Colorbox Fluid Chalk #Blue Iris on the sentiment, swirls, dots and flowers.

Dit is een van Maryse Carrier's nieuwe Nederlandstalige tekststempels. Ze maakte een hele stempellap met Nederlandse woorden, ik vind ze echt geslaagd! Ecoline achtergrond en Colorbox Fluid Chalk #blue Iris voor het stempelen van de tekst, krullen, bloemetjes en cirkels.

Bleach Stamping & transparency

On this card I used bleach stamping on ecoline background (#311 and #411) and stamping on a transparant sheet. All stamps by justjohanna.

Deze kaart is gestempeld met bleekwater op een ecoline achtergrond (#311 en #411) en op acetaat. Alle stempels zijn van justjohanna.

This is what I did:

Zo heb ik het gedaan:
Put a paper towel in a plastic lid, to pour the household bleach on. It can be used as a inkpad now.
Een keukenpapier in een plastic deksel, een geut bleekwater, dit kan nu gebruikt worden als stempelkussen.


Dab the stamp on the paper towel, stamp on a piece of paper first (newspaper is fine) to remove the excess, then stamp on the ecoline paper, and leave the bleach to dry.
Dep de stempel op het keukenpapier, stempel eerst op een stuk krantenpapier zodat er niet teveel bleek op de stempel zit. Stempel dan op het ecolinepapier, en laat rustig drogen.

While the bleach is drying, clean the stamp. (Water and washing up liquid first, then baby wipes or stamp cleaner)

Reinig de stempel meteen, eerst met water en afwasmiddel, daarna met babydoekjes of stempelreiniger.

Stick the stamped strip on the card, stamp the hot air balloon on the card and on PP. I used American Crafts paper. Stamp the houses on a transparency with StazOn Black.

Plak de gestempelde strook op de kaart. Stempel de luchtballon op de kaart en op het American Crafts papier. Stempel de huisjes op een transparant sheet met zwarte StazOn.

Assemble the card.

Monteer de kaart.

New Maryse Carrier Stamps

Maryse's new stamps arrived... look at the wonderful handwriting on the envelope (Sorry, I don't want to show my complete address here...)

Maryse's nieuwe stempels zijn aangekomen... Kijk eens naar haar prachtig handschrift op de omslag (Sorry, ik laat mijn adres hier niet volledig zien...)

Last year some members on Maryse's Yahoo group asked her if she could draw some Dutch sentiments, in her beautiful handwriting... She made us a whole sheet of Dutch words!! Isn't she FABULOUS!! Thank you Maryse!!! It's fun to discover a few unexpected images on each sheet.

Vorig jaar vroegen enkele leden van Maryse's Yahoo groep of ze een paar Nederlandse tekststempels wilde ontwerpen in haar prachig handschrift... Ze maakte een hele stempellap met Nederlandse wensen. FANTASTISCH!! Bedankt Maryse!! Leuk om op elke lap ook een paar extra's te vinden die niet in de catalogus staan.

Glue pen - Lijmpen

I wanted to try this Sakura glue pen, to use on small pieces, such as QuicKutz dies. I used it to attach the photo corner on this card portfolio. It's a few days ago now, and they seem to stick very well. So I guess I will be using this handy pen a lot in future...

Ik wou deze Sakura lijmpen proberen, om kleine stukjes op te plakken, zoals QuicKutz stansjes. De fotohoekjes zijn ermee op dit kaartenmapje geplakt. Dat is nu al een paar dagen geleden, ze blijven goed zitten. Ziet ernaar uit dat ik deze handige pen nog veel ga gebruiken...

Friends

Another 4 x 4 card. I've seen this unusual shape in my LSS de Creatie a few years ago. I still like the shape. I used bleach stamping on Ecoline and on the pink cardstock. Girls stamp (Art Impressions) is stamped with bleach on the background first, and with StazOn on a transparency. Flower border and Friends Definition are Hero Arts.

Alweer een 10 x 10cm kaartje. Deze ongewone vorm zag ik een tijd geleden in de stempel/scrapbookwinkel de Creatie, ik vind het nog altijd een leuk model. Ik gebruikte bleekwater om op de ecoline achtergrond en de roze kaart te stempelen. De meisjesstempel (Art Impressions) is eerst met bleek op de achtergrond gestempeld, daarna met StazOn op een transparente sheet. Bloemenrand en Friends definitiestempel zijn van Hero Arts.

You make my heart sing

Ecoline background

Quite often I receive email about "how to use Ecoline". Here's one way you can use it. I made some step by step pictures, while making this background. You really have to work very quick with this ink. In fact the result would have been better if I didn't have to put my brushes down and make a picture after each step. It would have been a more blended look.

Vrij vaak krijg ik email met de vraag "hoe gebruik ik ecoline". Hier is een manier die je kan begruiken. Ik heb geprobeerd om stap voor stap foto's te maken. Je moet met ecoline echt snel werken. Het resultaat zou mooier geweest zijn, als ik niet telkens de verfborstels moest neerleggen om een foto te maken. Maar je krijgt zo toch al een idee.

What you need: simple smooth stamping paper, (old) brushes, ecoline (have the bottles opened already), water, newspaper or something else to protect your surface. Ecoline stains!!

Nodig: gewoon glad stempelpapier, (oude) verfborstels, ecoline (maak de flesjes al op voorhand open), water, kranten om je werkoppervlak te beschermen. Ecoline maakt vlekken die je moeilijk kan verwijderen!!

Use the wide brush to apply the water. The paper has to be really wet.
Gebruik een brede kwast om het papier flink nat te maken.

Apply dots of ecoline.
Dep ecoline verspeid over het papier.

Spread de ink, dabbing with the wide brush.
Verspreid de inkt, al deppend met de brede kwast.

I used a toothpick to add a few drops of ecoline gold. Dab again to spread the gold.
Met een houten prikker een paar druppels gouden ecoline aanbrengen, weer deppen.

Leave to dry.
Laten drogen.

This background can be used for basic stamping, heat embossing, bleach stamping,...I'll post cards/projects using this paper later.
Deze basis kan gebruikt worden om gewoon op te stempelen, te embossen, met bleekwater stempelen,... Ik laat later zien waarvoor ik dit papier gebruik, kaartjes...
