Make The Most ... #2

On these cards I used the 'Make The Most' stamp with Distress Oxide ink Weathered Wood all over the background.

Vandaag gebruikte ik weer de 'Make The Most' stempel.  Ik nam Distress Oxide inkt Weathered Wood om de hele achtergrond vol te stempelen.

A rose from an early Darkroom Door set was inked with Distress Markers, stamped and cut out to glue onto the background.

De gekleurde roos is een stempel uit een oude Darkroom Door set.  Beïnkt met Distress Markers, afgedrukt en uitgeknipt om op de achtergrond te plakken.

The Small Stamps from Darkroom Door are so easy for creating quick cards.  I stamped the Roses Photo Stamp with Distress Oxide inks, and stamped the 'Make The Most' (a new one) with black Archival ink.

De Small Stamps van Darkroom Door zijn zo makkelijk om snel een kaartje mee te maken.  De rozen drukte ik af met Distress Oxide inkten.  De 'Make The Most' stempel, een nieuwe, stempelde ik met zwarte Archival inkt.

Pages in my Dylusions Dyalog Insert Book

Pagina's in mijn Dylusions Dyalog Insert Book gemaakt.

I chose these messy pages in my journal.  You may know that I use this insert book to clean up my stamps and stencils.  And my glas mat too.

Deze bladzijden gekozen in mijn journal.  Zoals je misschien weet gebruik ik dit insert book om mijn stempels en stencils proper te maken.  En mijn glasplaat.

 I used Distress Oxide inks to stamp the flowers from the Christmas Bush set.

De bloemen van de Christmas Bush set stempelde ik met Distress Oxide inkten.

Cloud Set

The clouds were sponged with gesso.  

To do the raindrops I used the stencil with Versamark ink and Distress Embossing Glaze Speckled Egg.

De wolken maakte ik door gesso te sponzen.

Voor de regendruppels gebruikte ik Versamark inkt met Distress Embossing Glaze Speckled Egg.

To make the letters stand out on these quite busy pages, I sponged a white background using gesso.  Next I stamped the letters with black Archival ink.

Om de tekst beter te laten uitkomen op de drukke pagina's maakte ik eerst een witte achtergrond met gesso en een sponsje.  De letters stempelde ik met zwarte Archival inkt.

ATC - Be Free

I made an ATC, that was ages ago!

Lang geleden dat ik nog eens een ATC maakte.

I used the Circle Set stencil with Distress Inks to sponge the sky and sun. Birds, words and twigs were stamped with black Archival ink.

De Circle Set stencil gebruikt om de zon en lucht te sponzen met Distress inkten.  Om de vogels, tekst en takjes te stempelen gebruikte ik zwarte Archival inkt.

I applied Wendy Vecchi's Crackled Texture Paste through the Cloud Set stencil.  I've never seen a crackled cloud in real life, but everything is possible on an ATC :)

Wendy Vecchi's Crackled Texture Paste aangebracht door de Cloud Set stencil.  Dat leverde mooie barstjes op.  In het echt zag ik nog nooit zo'n wolk, maar op een ATC is alles mogelijk :)

A new Darkroom Door stencil was used on this card:  Cloud Set.  So easy to fill a background.

Een nieuwe stencil van Darkroom Door gebruikt op deze kaart:  Cloud Set.  Makkelijk om snel een achtergrond te vullen.

First I stamped the birdhouse, birds and branches using black Archival ink.  I stamped the birdhouse and birds again on post-it notes to cut out as masks.   

Next I covered the birds and birdhouse to sponge the grass and clouds. 

I also saved the negative part after cutting out the masks, so I could use them when I colored the birds and birdhouse with Distress Inks.

I doodled some grass/flowers using a black pen.

The saying is from the Warm Wishes set.

Eerst stempelde ik het vogelhuisje, en de vogels met een takje om op te zitten.  Met zwarte Archival inkt stempelde ik die nogmaals op post-it briefjes om maskertjes uit te knippen.

De vogels en vogelhuisje bedekt met een maskertje om het gras te sponzen en de wolken.

Omdat ik de negatiefjes van de uitgeknipte maskertjes bewaarde, was het makkelijk om ook de vogels en het vogelhuisje in te kleuren met Distress inkt. 

Enkele bloemetjes en grassprietjes erbij getekend met een zwart stiftje.

De tekststempel is uit de Warm Wishes set.

Here's a simple quick & easy card I made using Darkroom Door's new stamp set Christmas Bush.

I found out that the Christmas Bush is a shrub that flowers around Christmas in Australia.  

Een snel en makkelijk kaartje gemaakt met de nieuwe stempelset Christmas Bush van Darkroom Door.  Ik zocht het online op:  de Christmas Bush is een struik die in Australië in bloei staat rond kerstmis.  De stempelset kan voor allerlei gelegenheden gebruikt worden.

I used a stencil to sponge the squares with Distress Ink Evergreen Boug.  To stamp the flowers over the squares I used Distress Oxide Ink Barn Door.

Een stencil gebruikt om de vierkantjes te sponzen met Distress Inkt Evergreen Bough.  Om de bloemetjes te stempelen gebruikte ik Distress Oxide inkt Barn Door.

Next I stamped the Criss Cross Background stamp using Distress Ink Bundled Sage.  A saying from the Christmas Bush set was stamped with black Archival ink.  For a finishing touch I added Stickles to the flowers.

Daarna de Criss Cross achtergrondstempel lichtjes afgedrukt met Distress Inkt Bundles Sage, en de tekst met zwarte Archival inkt.   De kaart verder afgewerkt met Stickles op de bloemharten.

The background was done with Distress Ink Bundled Sage and an ink blending tool.  I also stamped the Criss Cross background stamp using this ink.

De achtergrond gesponst met Distress Inkt Bundled Sage.  Met dezelfde inkt ook de Criss Cross achtergrondstempel afgedrukt.

Sunday Scraps - 532

As usual on Sundays I made something using scraps or left over pieces.  A few days ago I found a print in my stash (see last picture), I don't remember if it was meant to be a gel print, or maybe I had tried to stamp with a stencil?  

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik iets met restjes.  Vandaag gebruikte ik een mislukte print die ik een paar dagen geleden vond in mijn bewarium (zie laatste foto in dit bericht).  Ik weet niet meer of het een gelprint moet voorstellen, of misschien probeerde ik te stempelen met een stencil?

After a lot of scribbling with pens and pencils, the print looks like this.

Na veel gekrabbel met pennen en kleurpotloden ziet de afdruk er nu zo uit.

I was curious if the complete plate would fit in my journal :)

Eigenlijk was ik gewoon benieuwd of de complete set zou passen op een blad in mijn journal.

Then I started doodling.  Small flowers and narrow lines inside the circles.

Dan begon ik te doodelen.  Mini bloemetjes en dunne lijntjes in de cirkels.

The page was finished off with simple dots.

De pagina eenvoudig af gemaakt met puntjes.

Fall pages in my Dylusions Dyalog Insert Book.

The pages started like this, where I had stamped off the ink from my stamps while I made the card you see on the left. (the card was blogged here).  I also had cleaned a stencil already on these pages.  

Op deze pagina's had ik eerder al mijn stempels proper gemaakt terwijl ik de kaart maakte die je links ziet.  (hier is het blogbericht met de kaart).  En er zat ook al inkt op van een stencil.

I wanted to use the new Sketched Alphabet stamp set by Darkroom Door on the left page.  I found a quote by Oscar Wilde on the web.

Ik wou dat mooie nieuwe Sketched Alphabet van Darkroom Door gebruiken op de linker pagina.  Op het web vond ik een geschikte quote van Oscar Wilde.

I have not yet cut the letters from this set apart.  So I stamped the complete set on the bottom plate of my MISTI.  Next I used gel print scraps to stamp every letter I needed to complete Summer and Fall.  I used the Alphabet Medley stamp set to stamp the rest of the quote.

De letters van deze nieuwe stempelset zijn nog niet uitgeknipt.  Dus stempelde ik de lap in zijn geheel  op de bodemplaat van de MISTI.  Zo kon ik stukjes gelprintpapier op de juiste plek leggen om elke letter te stempelen die nodig had om Summer en Fall te vormen.  De rest van de quote stempelde ik met de Alphabet Medley set.

Archival ink Thistle was used to stamp the words.  And to ink the edges of the pages I used Distress Ink Aged Mahogany.

De tekst werd met Archival inkt Thistle gestempeld.  Om de randen van de pagina's te inkten nam ik Distress Inkt Aged Mahogany.

Biggest Hugs

Love the collection of Small Stamps by Darkroom Door.  The 'Biggest Hugs' is a new one.

De Small Stamps van Darkroom Door hebben een tof formaat voor kaartjes.  Deze 'Biggest Hugs' is een nieuwe.

First I stamped the Knitting background, heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I sprinkled blue bistre and misted with water.  Love the colors that showed up.  There's a bit of brown, so I used Archival ink Potting Soil to stamp the words.  Distress Ink Peacock Feathers was used to sponge the heart.  I stamped a few extra flowers to cut out. I shaped the flowers using an embossing stylus and glued them onto the card.

Eerst de Knitting achtergrond gestempeld en met wit poeder geëmbosst.  Blauw bister poeder gestrooid en water verneveld.  Dat leverde mooie kleuren op.  Omdat er een beetje bruin te zien is, nam ik Archival inkt Potting Soil om de tekst te stempelen.  Om het hart te sponzen nam ik Distress Inkt Peacock Feathers.  Nog enkele bloemetjes gestempeld om uit te knippen.  Met een embossing tool gaf ik ze vorm eer ze opgeplakt werden.
