Tag - Real Pansies #2

 Last week I picked some pansies in our garden, and ran them through the Cuttlebug trying several papers.  I'm schowing the second one today.  See the first one HERE

Vorige week plukte ik viooltjes in de tuin, en draaide ze door de Cuttlebug.  Ik probeerde enkele soorten papier.  Dit is de tweede tag die ik er mee maakte.  De eerste kan je HIER zien.

 I used this Canson Mix Media paper to cut a tag.  

Uit dit Canson Mix Media papier een label gestanst.

 Love the texture this paper has.

Mooie textuur heeft dit papier.

I used Archival ink to stamp the quote, and Distress Oxide ink was used to stamp the Criss Cross texture stamp.

Met Archival inkt de tekst afgedrukt, voor de Criss Cross texture stempel nam ik Distress Oxide inkt.

 Today I stamped in my gel print journal.

Vandaag weer enkele pagina's in mijn gel print journal gestempeld.

 Inspired by these Yogi Tea Quotes.

Inspiratie is altijd te vinden in de quotes van Yogi Tea.

 The Alphabet Medley was used , combined on this page with stamps from the Simply Circles set.

Op deze bladzijde combineerde ik enkele stempels uit de Simply Circles set met de alfabetstempels.

 I hesitated to post this page, because I'm not sure how to split "question" in English.  It looks strange.

Getwijfeld om deze bladzijde te posten, hoe splits je "question"?  Het ziet er raar uit in ieder geval.

Gel Print - Art Journal Page

The past few days I've been working in my Dina Wakley Media Journal.

De voorbije dagen maakte ik een pagina in mijn Dina Wakley Media Journal.

 The burlap page at the right was made a while ago (CLICK), and I wanted the left page to go with it.

De juten pagina maakte ik eerder al (KLIK), en de linker pagina moest er bij passen.

 I also wanted to use the gel printed tissue papers from Bigit Koopsen's 31 days of gel printing challenge.

De gelprint tissue vellen, gemaakt voor de 31 days of gel printing challenge van Birgit Koopsen wou ik ook absoluut gebruiken.

 Strips of tissue paper.

Het papier in reepjes gescheurd.

 I used gel medium to glue the strips in place.

De papierreepjes werden met gel medium in het journal geplakt.

I used Distress Paints and gesso on the white spots.

Met Distress Paints en gesso verfde ik over de lege plekken.

 After the paint had dried I started stamping using red Distress Paint and black Archival Ink.

Toen de verf droog was kon ik beginnen met stempelen.  Daar gebruikte ik rode Distress Paint voor, en zwarte Archival inkt.

Looking through the Kitchen Window

 It is fun to watch the Busy Great Tit, feeding the little ones.

 De koolmees kent geen rust, ze vliegt af en aan om de jongen te voeren.

 Meanwhile the Dunnock chicks have left their nest.

Ondertussen hebben de heggenmusjongen het nest al verlaten.

 How cute is this, seeing a little one doing wing exercises.

Dit kleintje was volop zijn vliegoefeningen aan 't doen, zo schattig om te zien.

Tag - Real Pansies #1

 Pansies and a butterfly on this tag.

Viooltjes en een vlinder op dit label.

 I picked some pansies in the garden, arranged them on a tag and ran them through the cuttlebug to dye the paper.

Viooltjes geplukt in de tuin, op een label geschikt en door de cuttlebug gedraaid zodat ze het papier kleurden.

 I tried several papers, first this Mix Media paper by Canson.

Ik deed een test met een aantal papiersoorten, zoals dit Mix Media papier van Canson.

I added subtle pencil lines around the flowers.  Used a butterfly stencil to sponge with Distress Ink.  Words from Darkroom Door's Full Bloom Vol 2 set are stamped with Distress Oxide ink Hickory Smoke.

Met potlood de bloemetjes subtiel omlijnd.  Een vlinderstencil van Darkroom Door gebruikt met Distress inkt.  De tekststempel uit de Full Bloom Vol 2 set werd met Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide inkt afgedrukt.

Pages in my Gel Print Journal #3

 Some more pages in my gel print journal.  I added "friendship" words.

Weer gestempeld op enkele pagina's van mijn gelprint journal.  Ik koos vriendschap als thema.

 Stamping in this journal is a bit tricky.  Here I pressed too hard on the top and bottom of the stamp.  But I love the quote.

Stempelen in dit boekje valt niet altijd mee.  Hier duwde ik te hard op de boven- en onderkant van mijn stempelblok.  Maar het is zo'n mooie tekst.

The Darkroom Door stamps I used, and the picture from a magazine that I used as a mask on these gel prints.

Deze Darkroom Door stempels gebruikt.  De foto knipte ik uit een blad om als mask te gebruiken bij het gelprinten.

Lazy Sunday

Spring looked a lot like Summer today.  So we spent the day outside, enjoying our beautiful countryside.

Het was een zomerse lentedag vandaag.  Veel tijd buiten doorgebracht om van de omgeving te genieten

Black & White - 360

 On this black and white card I used 2 stencils from Darkroom Door to sponge a background.  The beetle was stamped with Archival ink and cut out.

Bij deze zwart-wit kaart gebruikte ik 2 stencils van Darkroom Door om de achtergrond te sponzen.  De beetle werd met zwarte Archival inkt gestempeld en uitgeknipt.

To sponge the background I used these stencils with Distress Oxide ink Black Soot.

Met Distress Oxide inkt en deze stencils werd de achtergrond gesponst.

Echt lente als ik door het keukenraam kijk.  Eén nestkastje is bewoond, er wordt al volop gevoerd.

Gel Print - Gift Box

 I love making little gift boxes.

Doosjes maken blijft leuk om te doen.

 I used some gel prints from my stash, overstamped with  Darkroom Door textures.

 Weer enkele gelprints uit de stapel gekozen, en er texture stempels van Darkroom Door op afgedrukt.

A Stitch in Time...

For this card I used a gel print with a vintage feel.  The print was made with a background stamp from Darkroom Door on my gel plate.  I used two stamp sets from Darkroom Door on the card, and stamped with Archival ink.

Voor deze kaart koos ik een gelprint met een vintage uitstraling.  Voor de print gebruikte ik een achtergrondstempel van Darkroom Door op mijn gel plate.  Stempels uit twee bij elkaar passende stempelsets gebruikt, afgedrukt met Archival inkt.

Before & After #19

Last week I stamped a new blog banner.  And now I've turned it into 3 cards.

Vorige week stempelde ik een nieuwe blogbanner.  Nu maakte ik er 3 kaartjes mee.

I've cut the banner into 3 pieces.  I noticed an empty spot in the middle.

De blogbanner in 3 gesneden.  In het midden bleef een lege plek.

So I stamped another flower on the empty spot.

Dus nog een bloem op die plek gestempeld.

The cards are 4" x 4".  I made envelopes too.

De kaartjes meten 10 cm.  Ik maakte er envelopjes bij.
