Two skater cards today.  I stamped the photo stamp and letters from Darkroom Door onto scrapbook paper using black Archival ink.

Twee skater kaarten gemaakt vandaag.  De fotostempel en de letters van Darkroom Door drukte ik af op scrapbookpapier met zwarte Archival inkt.

Coffee Time

Birthday card for a coffee lover.

Verjaardagskaartje voor een koffiekenner.

I stamped the cup of coffee using Archival Ink Acorn.  Next I masked the cup to stamp the Morrocan Tiles and Mesh background, and to sponge with Distress Inks.

De kop koffie met Archival inkt Acorn afgedrukt.  Bedekt met een maskertje om de Morrocan Tiles en Mesh achtergrond te stempelen.  Om te achtergrond te sponzen gebruikte ik Distress inkten.

Sentiment is from the Happy Birthday set.

   Brayer paper was used as a background on this card for a 50th birthday.

The small numbers from the set were used to stamp the age on the sign.

Small Sketched Alphabet #2

A masculine card, using the new Small Sketched Alphabet set from Darkroom Door.  Before I've cut the letters from the set apart, I stamped them with Versamark ink, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to do a resist technique with Distress ink Vintage Photo.

Een mannenkaart gemaakt met de nieuwe Small Sketched Alphabet stempelset van DarkroomDoor.  Eer ik alle letterstempels van de set uitknipte, stempelde ik ze met Versamark inkt om met kleurloos poeder te embossen.  Zo kon ik een resist techniek toepassen met Distress inkt Vintage Photo.

The typewriter from the Vintage Office set was stamped with black Archival ink, cut out and sponged with Distress ink Vintage Photo.

De typemachine uit de Vintage Office set werd met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt, uitgeknipt en daarna gesponst met Distress inkt Vintage Photo.

On the white folded card I stamped the Abstract stamp Distressed Diamonds using Distress Oxide ink Vintage Photo.  The Sentiment stamps go well with the typewriter.

Op de witte dubbelgevouwen kaart drukte ik de Abstract stempel Distressed Diamonds een aantal keren af met Distress Oxide Vintage Photo.  De Sentiment stempels passen goed bij de typemachine.

Black & White - 497

On Saturdays I create something in black & white.  This week I used a new Make Art stamp, die & stencil set by Wendy Vecchi  'Award Winning' to make a Father's Day card.

's Zaterdags maak ik meestal iets in zwart-wit.  Vandaag gebruikte ik daarvoor een nieuwe Make Art stempel-, stans- en stencil set van Wendy Vecchi 'Award Winning'.  Het werd al een kaart voor vaderdag.  

I've cut black and white strips, taped them together to do the background.  All elements were stamped with black Archival ink, and cut out using the dies from the Make Art sets.  Some leaves I stamped over the striped background.

De achtergrond maakte ik met strookjes wit en zwart kaartkarton.  Alle onderdelen werden met zwarte Archival inkt gestempeld en uitgesneden met stansen uit de Make Art sets.  Enkele blaadjes stempelde ik rechtstreeks op de gestreepte achtergrond

To fill the trophy cup I used leaves from these Make Art sets.

De trofee beker vulde ik met blaadjes uit deze Make Art Sets.

"Instagram" Birthday Card

Birthday card for my hubby :)  Recently he started using Instagram, so I made a "insta" card.   The Garden Inchies and Camera stamp from Darkroom Door worked well for this occasion.

Verjaardagskaart voor mijn ventje.  Omdat hij sinds kort Instagram gebruikt, moest het een "insta" kaart worden.  Daarvoor kwamen de Garden Inchies en Camera van Darkroom Door van pas.

Birthday Card

This birthday card started as a 1 layer card, but then I added another tag using 3D tape, and stamped a small round tag with a sentiment.

Oorspronkelijk was dit een 1-laags kaart, maar ik stempelde nog een extra label en plakte het op de kaart met 3D tape.  Voor de wens stempelde ik nog een klein rond label.

I stamped the Shipping Tags stamp onto a white folded card.  I covered the tags with a mask to stamp the Torn Text texture stamp.  Next I stamped the Coffee Stain and sponged through the Mesh stencil.  A bicylce stamp from the Enjoy Life stamp set was stamped several times on the tags, using post-it notes as masks.  I sponged with Distress Oxide ink Iced Spruce around the tags to add shadow.  The rest of the card was sponged with Distress Ink Old Paper.  

De Shipping Tags werden op een witte kaart gestempeld, en bedekt met een maskertje om rondom de Torn Text en Coffee Stains te stempelen.  De Mesh stencil gebruikt om te sponzen.  De fietsstempel uit de Enjoy Life verschillende keren afgedrukt op de labels, daarbij post-its gebruikt als maskertjes.  De witte kaart gesponst met Distress inkt Old Paper, en schaduw gesponst rond de labels met Distress Oxide Iced Spruce.

 A mix of old and new on this (masculine) card.  The Calendar Stamp set is an early Darkroom Door stamp set that I love to use.  

Oude en nieuwe Darkroom Door dingen gebruikt op deze (mannen)kaart.  De Calendar stempelset is een tijdloze set uit de vroege jaren van Darkroom Door, die ik nog regelmatig gebruik.

 I used the brandnew Diamond Set stencil with Distress Oxide inkpads to create a patterned background for my card.  The same inks were used to color the typewriter and pencils.

De nieuwe Diamond Set stencil van Darkroom Door gebruikt met Distress Oxide inkten om een patroon te sponzen op de achtergrond.  Met dezelfde inkten ook de typemachine en potloden gekleurd.

 Every Saturday I try to make something in black & white.  Today I made this masculine card.

Elke zaterdag probeer ik iets te maken in zwart-wit.  Vandaag werd het een mannenkaart.

 Because I used black cardstock I glued a piece of white cardstock inside.

Omdat ik zwart kaartkarton gebruikte, plakte ik wit kaartkarton in de kaart.

 I used the same checkered backgroundstamp from Darkroom Door to stamp the corner only.

Met dezelfde blokjesachtergrondstempel van Darkroom Door een hoekje gestempeld.

Bon Voyage

 The Travel Squares collage stamp was stamped with Archival Ink Potting Soil first, and over stamped with Jet Black.  On the vellum overlay I stamped parts of the Journey Word Block stamp.

De Travel Squares collage stempel eerst afgedrukt met Archival Inkt Potting Soil, en er de afdruk nog eens in zwart lichtjes overheen gezet.  Bedekt met een laagje vellum waar ik de Journey Word Block stempel gedeeltelijk op afdrukte.

Stitches, paper doll and a saying are the finishing touches on this card.

Stiksels, papieren ventje en een tekststempel maken de kaart af.

Black & White - 384

A lot of masking on this card.  First I stamped the steampunk machine and masked it.  Using my Misti and a sheet of acetate I was able to position the Glass Dome stamp.  To stamp the background stamps I masked the Glass Dome.  I removed the dome mask to stamp a subtle print of the Damask background.  My instructions are probably not very clear :)

Veel gemaskerd om deze kaart te stempelen.  Eerst een afdruk gemaakt van de steampunk machine en er een maskertje over gelegd om de glazen stolp te stempelen.  De stolp weer met een maskertje bedekt om de achtergronden af te drukken.  Voor een subtiele afdruk van de damask stempel nam ik het masker weg en stempelde nogmaals zonder te herinkten.  Kunnen jullie nog volgen :)

 On this black and white card I used 2 stencils from Darkroom Door to sponge a background.  The beetle was stamped with Archival ink and cut out.

Bij deze zwart-wit kaart gebruikte ik 2 stencils van Darkroom Door om de achtergrond te sponzen.  De beetle werd met zwarte Archival inkt gestempeld en uitgeknipt.

To sponge the background I used these stencils with Distress Oxide ink Black Soot.

Met Distress Oxide inkt en deze stencils werd de achtergrond gesponst.

Black & White - 355

 I was unable to finish my black and white card last week, but here it is now.

Vorige week moest ik plots weg, en raakte mijn zwart-wit kaart niet af.  Nu wel dus.

 I stamped the Postcard background stamp with black Archival ink.  Added drops of liquid ink and used a straw to spread the ink into all directions.  On top of this background I glued a black envelope with a tiny stamped card inside.

De Postcard achtergrondstempel met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt.  Daarna zwarte inkt gedruppeld en met een rietje in alle richtingen verspreid.  Daar kwam een zwart omslagje op met daarin een gestempeld minikaartje.
