Black & White - 437

 I used the Plaid background stamp from Darkroom Door again.  It is an early Darkroom Door stamp, but I still love it, a timeless stamp.  At the end of this post I placed a link to more Plaid items on my blog.  

De Plaid achtergrondstempel van Darkroom Door nog eens gebruikt.  Ik denk dat die inmiddels 10 jaar oud is, maar nog altijd een favoriet die ik regelmatig gebruik, een tijdloze stempel.  Onderaan dit blogbericht plaatste ik een link naar nog meer items met deze stempel.

Black & White - 424

 This week's black & white card is a Christmas card, a quick & easy one.

I used a Sizzix Tim Holtz die to cut the black cardstock, and glued the piece onto a white folded card.

Deze week maakte ik een kerstkaart voor mijn zwart-wit reeks.  Een heel eenvoudige.

Een Sizzix kerststans van Tim Holtz gebruikt om het zwarte kaartkarton te snijden.  Daarna op een witte dubbele kaart geplakt.

 Inside I stamped a greeting from Darkroom Door's Yuletide Greetings set, using black Archival ink.  I also used a few of the cut out pieces.

Binnenin de kaart een wens uit de Yuletide Greetings set van Darkroom Door, afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt.  Ook enkele uitgestanste figuurtjes erbij geplakt.

 Love to use the new Abstract 01 stamp to frame a scene.

De Abstract 01 stempel gebruikt om een tafereeltje in te lijsten.

 First I stamped the Abstract 01 stamp using Scribble Sticks.  Next I colored my paper with Blendable Dye Ink Buttercup. 

Eerst rondom gestempeld met de Abstract 01 stempel en Scribble Sticks.  Daarna het papier gekleurd met Blendable Dye Ink Buttercup.

 The birdhouse and twigs were stamped with Wendy Vecchi's Archival Ink Peat Moss.  I used pencils to color the birdhouse and I also added blossoms to the twigs.

Het nestkastje en de takjes stempelde ik met Archival inkt Peat Moss.  Met potloden het nestkastje ingekleurd, en de takjes voorzien van bloesems.

 Stamped some twigs inside too.

Binnenin ook enkele takjes gezet.

I stamped the birds on the card, and once more onto smooth watercolor paper to cut out.

Birthday Card - Beautiful Blooms

 On this birthday card I use 1 stamp from the new Beautiful Blooms stamp set, with several colors of Distress Oxide inks.  The first layer of stamped flowers was misted with water.  I dried the ink with my heat tool inbetween colors.  Next I stamped the flowers again with the same inks to get a more crisp flower.  Stamped like this, they remind me of firework.

Cut to card size, using a CreaLies die.  

Next I stamped the candles and saying (both from the new release) with black Archival ink.

Slechts 1 bloemenstempel uit de nieuwe Beautiful Blooms set gebruikt op deze kaart, afgedrukt met verschillende kleuren Distress Oxide inkt.  Over de eerste laag bloemen vernevelde ik water, na elke kleur droog gemaakt met de heat tool.  Daarna met dezelfde kleuren de bloemen nogmaals gestempeld, voor een scherpere afdruk.  De bloemen doen me op deze manier een beetje aan vuurwerk denken.

Op maat van de kaart uitgesneden met een CreaLies stans.  Daarna de kaarsjes en wens (beide zijn nieuw) afgedrukt met zwarte Archival inkt.

Pop-up Caravan

 Here's a card I made, using the Tree Pop-up die set by Karen Burniston to create a caravan pop-up card.   The die cut trees are placed in the background.

Een kaartje gemaakt met de Tree Pop-up stansset van Karen Burniston.  In plaats van de boom kleefde ik een caravan op het pop-up mechanisme.  De bomen uit de set staan in de achtergrond.

 I also used a few dies from other Karen Burniston sets.

Ook enkele stansen uit andere sets van Karen Burniston gebruikt.

 On card front I used a stencil to sponge words with Archival ink Potting Soil.

 Op de voorkant gebruikte ik een stencil om tekst te sponzen met Archival inkt Potting Soil.

The 'picnic blanket' is a small folded card, it adds space to write something down.

De 'picnicdeken' is een klein dubbelgevouwen kaartje.  Daar kan een boodschap in geschreven worden.

Black & White - 413

 I made this 4" frame card for my Black & White series.

Een kaartje van ongeveer 10,5 cm gemaakt voor mijn zwart-wit reeks.

 I used a die to cut the square, stamped the bird, cut around it leaving a frame to stamp the saying and some leaves.

Een vierkant uitgestanst, het vogeltje gestempeld en rond het vogeltje uitgesneden.  Daarbij bewaarde ik wel rondom een lijstje waar ik de tekst en blaadjes op stempelde.

 I've cut another square to put behind the first one, stamped with the Scratches Background and a flower from the Tall Flowers set.  And another square was cut to glue inside the card.  The small version of the bird, that also comes with the Garden Birds set was stamped inside the card.

Nog een vierkant gestanst als achtergrond.  Ik drukte er de Scratches Background op af en een bloem uit de Tall Flowers set.  Op het uitgestanste vierkant binnenin de kaart drukte ik het kleine vogeltje af, ook eentje uit de Garden Birds set.

A while ago I saw somebody on Youtube using a cutting mat in a die cutting machine.  I tried it very carefully in my good old Cuttlebug, and it worked :)  (Here's a link:  CLICK)

Lots of Love

   A Darkroom Door stencil was used to do the gel print on today's card.   Poppies were stamped with Archival Ink Olive.  I stamped the poppies once more onto white paper to cut out.

Voor de gelprint op de achtergrond is een stencil van Darkroom Door gebruikt.  De klaprozen stempelde ik met Archival inkt Olive.  Ik drukte ze nog eens af op wit papier om uit te knippen.

 Some of the stamps were used again on the inside.

Op het binnenblad drukte ik enkele stempels nog eens lichtjes af.

Black & White - 411

 This week's black & white card.  I stamped the flower a second time without reinking, so there's a bit of gray on the card too.

Mijn zwart-wit kaart voor deze week.  De bloem stempelde ik een 2de keer zonder opnieuw te beïnkten, dus ook een beetje grijs op deze kaart.

 I stamped the flower and some dots inside the card.

Binnenin stempelde ik stippen en de bloem.

The vertical saying from the Tall Flowers set was stamped on a narrow strip and adhered to the card with 3D foamtape.

De verticale tekststempel uit de Tall Flowers set drukte ik af op een smal reepje papier.  Met 3D tape op de kaart geplakt.

Butterfly Garland in a Milk Carton

I love making little gift boxes.  Today I used a Milk Carton die by Sizzix.  Inks, stamps, dies and stencils are by Wendy Vecchi.

Ik blijf het leuk vinden, kadodoosjes maken.  Vandaag maakte ik met een Sizzix stans dit melkkartonnetje.   Inkten, stempels, stansen en stencils zijn van Wendy Vecchi.

First I stamped a bunch of butterflies, colored these with Blendable Die inks and cut them out.

Eerst een aantal vlinders gestempeld, gekleurd met Blendable Die inkten en uitgestanst.

I glued the butterflies together, back to back, with thin twine inbetween.

De vlinders met de achterkanten tegen elkaar geplakt, met een dun touwtje in het midden.

I added beads to the top and bottom of the gardland.

Begin en eind van de slinger kregen houten kralen.

On the punched circle I stamped a saying and a twig from Wendy's stamp sets.

Een rondje geponst met daarop een wens en een takje, beide stempels zijn van Wendy Vecchi.

Lots of butterflies :)

Black & White - 405

 Every Saturday I try to make something in black & white.  Today I made this masculine card.

Elke zaterdag probeer ik iets te maken in zwart-wit.  Vandaag werd het een mannenkaart.

 Because I used black cardstock I glued a piece of white cardstock inside.

Omdat ik zwart kaartkarton gebruikte, plakte ik wit kaartkarton in de kaart.

 I used the same checkered backgroundstamp from Darkroom Door to stamp the corner only.

Met dezelfde blokjesachtergrondstempel van Darkroom Door een hoekje gestempeld.

Black & White - 402

 Another card I made for my Black & White series.  I stamped the bottles with black Archival ink, cut them out and used texture stamps and a background stamp to decorate the bottles.  I listed them all below.

Weer een kaart voor mijn wekelijkse zwart-wit reeks.  De flessen gestempeld met zwarte Archival inkt, uitgeknipt.  Daarna een achtergrondstempel en enkele texture stempels op de flessen afgedrukt.

The saying was stamped on a punched out oval, and glued inside the card.

De gestempelde tekst uitgeponst en binnenin de kaart geplakt.

Black & White - 399

 This week's black & white item is a trifold card I made for Darkroom Door, using a new Collage stamp:  Flower Girl.

Het item voor mijn zwart-wit reeks is deze week een kaartje dat ik voor Darkroom Door maakte met een nieuwe Collage stempel:  Flower Girl.

 I stamped the image with black Archival ink, glued it onto the left hand part of the card.  I've cut around the girl, as shown on the picture.  I also cut out the basket, to use later inside the card.

De collagestempel met zwarte Archival inkt afgedrukt, op de linkerkant van de kaart geplakt.  Daarna rondom het meisje geknipt, zoals je op de foto ziet.  Ook het mandje uitgeknipt om later binnenin de kaart te gebruiken.

 I stamped the image once more, to glue on the right side of the card, making sure that the images were lined up perfectly when the card is closed.

De stempel nog een keer afgedrukt, en op de rechterflap van de kaart geplakt, precies onder de andere afbeelding als de kaart gesloten is.

 To get some writing space I added a white piece of cardstock inside.  First I stamped the corner of the Roses photo stamp with black ink, and words from the Simple Sayings Vol 2 set.  The cut out basket was glued down at the bottom.

Om wat schrijfruimte te voorzien plakte ik binnenin een witte kaart.  Een deel van de Roses fotostempel bovenaan afgedrukt, en ook een wens uit de Simple Sayings Vol 2 stempelset.  Het uitgeknipte mandje kreeg onderaan een plek.

To keep the card closed I used some ribbon.

Een lintje houdt de kaart mooi gesloten.
