Messy pages in my Dylusions Dyalog Insert Book.

Weer enkele pagina's in mijn Dylusions Dyalog Insert Book gemaakt.

The pages started like this.  I use this Dyalog book to clean my stencils and gel plate.   

Flipping through the Dyalog book gives instant inspiration :)

Ik gebruik dit Dyalog boek om resterende inkt en verf van mijn stencils en gel plate te halen.  

Als ik door het boekje blader krijg ik vanzelf inspiratie :)

I've put the Wildflower stencil back in place and used Distress Crayons to color the flowers.

De Wildflower stencil op de juiste plek terug gelegd om de bloemen met Distress Crayons in te kleuren.  

After I had stamped the jar with pencils from the Artist Palette stamp set, I used the Creativity stencil with Distress Oxide inks to add a few words.

Nadat ik de glazen pot met penselen gestempeld had, gebruikte ik de Creativity stencil met Distress Oxide inkten om enkele woorden te sponzen.

To finish off the pages I used Texture stamps, and inked the edges.

Om de pagina's af te maken drukte ik hier en daar enkele Texture stempels af, en gaf ik de paginaranden wat kleur.

Weer een mooie rozenstempel van Darkroom Door gebruikt.

Love to do multicolor stamping.  I use my MISTI and add layers of stamping until I like the result.
Fijn om meerkleurig te kunnen stempelen.  Ik gebruik mij MISTI en stempel meermaals tot ik tevreden ben over de kleur.

Using Ecoline Brush Pens

 Since I rediscovered my Ecoline Brush Pens a few weeks ago, I want to try them on all stamps :)

The rose on this tag is from a very early, but still favorite Darkroom Door stamp set.  I combined the rose with newer stamps.

Een paar weken geleden herontdekte ik mijn Ecoline Brush Pennen, leuk om uit te testen hoe ze afdrukken met allerlei stempels.  De roos is uit stempelset n°3 van Darkroom Door, een oude set, maar nog altijd favoriet.  Gecombineerd met nieuwere stempels.

 I inked the stamps with Ecoline Brush Pens, and used my MISTI stamping tool to stamp them several times for a nice blend.  The rose was cut out and adhered to the tag using 3D tape.  I used a bright green elastic band at the top.

De stempels werden beïnkt met Ecoline Brush Pennen.  Ik gebruikte mijn MISTI om herhaaldelijk te kunnen stempelen, zodat de kleuren mooi in elkaar overvloeien.  De roos uitgeknipt en met 3D tape op het label geplakt.  Bovenaan bevestigde een knalgroen elastiekje aan het label.

Glitter Lavender Card

 Lavender and butterflies, they belong together.  

Lavendel en vlinders, ze horen gewoon samen.

 The background was done with left over Distress Oxide ink on the Plaid background stamp, misted with water.  On the edges I used Distress Crayons.  I heat embossed the vellum butterfly.

De achtergrond maakte ik toen er nog Distress Oxide inkt op mijn Plaid achtergrondstempel zat, water verneveld en afgedrukt.  Op de randen gebruikte ik Distress Crayons.  De vellum vlinder kreeg een laagje wit embossing.

 I used the stencil to trace the lavender flowers and added Stickles.

De lavendel stencil gebruikt om de bloemetjes te tekenen.  Daarna Stickles aangebracht.

Mother's Day

Strange Mother's Day this year, we can't see each other due to the corona crisis.  We stay at home.  Better safe than sorry.

Rare moederdag dit jaar.  Door de coronacrisis kunnen we elkaar niet zien.  Om het veilig te houden blijven we thuis.

 On this black & white card I used a favorite  photo stamp:  Gerberas.  

Nog eens een favoriete fotostempel gebruikt op deze zwart-wit kaart.

Well, the Dots background is another favorite.

Pages in my Art Journal - Flower Girl

 Pages in my Dyalog Insert Book again.  I use this book to clean my stencils and gel plate.  Handy to have some backgrounds ready to start.  So the big heart was already there.  I stamped with Archival ink.  

Pagina's in mijn Dyalog Insert boek.  Dit boekje gebruik ik om mijn stencils en gelplate in schoon te maken.  Makkelijk om al enkele achtergronden klaar te hebben.  Zo zat het grote hart al op deze pagina's.  Verder stempelde ik met Archival inkt.

 I used Distress Inks with the large Wildflower stencil to do the flowers.

De bloemen deed ik met Distress Oxide inkten en de grote Wildflowers stencil.

Relax

I started these pages a while ago, but was not too happy about the background, especially the dark parts.  But today I was inspired to finish it.

Een tijdje geleden begon ik aan deze pagina's in mijn Dylusions journal.  Maar de achtergrond werd niet wat ik verwacht had, vooral de donkere delen stonden mij niet aan.  Maar vandaag wou ik er iets mee doen.

First I stamped these flowers, using black Archival ink.  To color them I used Scribble Sticks.

Eerst de bloemen gestempeld met zwarte Archival inkt, ingekleurd met Scribble Sticks.

The flowers needed a few coats to cover the white gesso.

Er waren enkele lagen nodig om de witte gesso te bedekken.

A black pen was used to draw the stems.  Next I stamped the leaves, colored them with Scribble Sticks too.  For the weeds I used a stamp from the Nature Walk set.  Lots of white dots, done with gesso and a toothpic

Met een zwart pennetje de stengels getekend.  Daarna de blaadjes gestempeld en ook met Scribble Sticks ingekleurd.  Een onkruidstempel uit de Nature Walk set met zwart Archival inkt afgedrukt.  De witte stipjes deed ik met gesso en een tandenstoker.

I chose a few words from the Wellbeing stencil to trace with a black pen.

Voor de woorden gebruikte ik de Wellbeing stencil met een zwart pennetje.

Set of Cards - Baby

A set of baby cards I made.

Een set babykaarten gemaakt.

 I had stamped with the stencil (to clean it after another project), hence the yellow background.  I sponged with Distress Oxide inks to create colorful backgrounds for my cards.

Eerder 'stempelde' ik met de stencil, om hem proper te maken na een ander project, vandaar de gele achtergrond.  Distress Oxide inkten gebruikt om te sponzen.  Zo kreeg ik een kleurrijk A4 vel om achtergronden voor mijn kaarten te snijden.

 I used the same inks to stamp the teddy bear.

Met dezelfde inkten drukte ik de teddybeer af.

 To stamp the words I used Archival Ink Shadow Grey.

De teksten gestempeld met Archival inkt Shadow Grey.

Pagina's in mijn Dyalog Insert Book.

When I'm working with stencils I always have paper nearby to clean my stencils.  In this case it was a Dyalog Insert Book.  That's how today's pages started.

Als ik met stencils werk houd ik altijd papier bij de hand, om mijn stencils na gebruik op af te drukken. Of mijn Dyalog Insert Book zoals hier.  Zo had ik al een achtergrond klaar.

Stamp from these Darkroom Door Sets were used with Archival Ink.  I inked the edges with Distress Oxide inks and used colored pencils here and there.

Stempels uit deze Darkroom Door sets afgedrukt met Archival inkt.  De randen gesponst met Distress Oxide inkten.  Hier en daar iets ingekleurd met potloden.

Sunday Scraps - 516

 As usual on Sundays, I made something using scraps and left over pieces.  I chose some pieces that could work together, but I never know what the result will be :)  So I didn't use all you see on the last photo in this post.

I used a left over piece of a gel print, cut a tag shape.  I used a 'bird' theme to decorate front and back.

I used pencils to do the blossoms, and to color the birds and the nest.

Zoals gewoonlijk op zondag, maakte ik weer iets met restjes.  Ik gebruikte niet alles wat ik bij elkaar gezocht had (laatste foto), want ik weet nooit op voorhand wat het gaat worden :)  

Uit een restje van een gelprint sneed ik een label vorm, voor- en achterkant bewerkte ik met het thema 'vogels'.  Pencils were used to add blossoms, and to color the birds and the nest.

 I used these Darkroom Door stamps, stamped with Archival inks.

 The backside had an ugly brayer line. I sponged through a Darkroom Door stencil to decorate that part.

Op de achterkant zat een lelijke brayer lijn.  Maar met een stencil van Darkroom Door en Archival inkt probeerde ik dat op te lossen.

 The tag goes into my handmade faux leather mini planner.

Het label past in de faux leather mini planner dat ik laatst maakte.

Black & White - 458

 Love this teacups stamp.

Zo'n  leuke stempel, deze stapel theekopjes.

 I stamped with black Archival ink, and cut around the cups, leaving a border.  Adhered to a white card, using 3D tape.

Met zwarte Archival inkt gestempeld.  Daarna de stempel uitgeknipt om de kopjes heen, wel een lijstje rondom bewaard, en verhoogd opgeplakt.

Birdwatching

 The dunnock choses the same spot every morning, in front of our kitchen window, to sing his song.  This time I was lucky enough to have my camera nearby to take some pictures.

 De heggenmus kiest elke dag hetzelfde plekje recht voor ons keukenraam om zijn liedje te zingen.  Deze keer had ik het geluk dat de camera vlakbij lag om enkele foto's te maken.  

 Also, the last few days daddy blackbird drops by with a beak full of 'delicious' caterpillars for the little ones.

 De laatste dagen vliegt vader merel af en aan, en zien we hem regelmatig met een bek vol 'heerlijke' rupsen voor de kleintjes.
